I was really looking forward to getting an advanced look at this graphic novel. Ever since I heard Rainbow Rowell and Faith Erin Hicks were working together I was hooked. Then I realized this was only 18 pages of the book. I still loved the excerpt and can't wait to read the rest, but wish I hadn't gotten my hopes up for this arc when it was only a quarter (maybe less) of the finished book.

I can't review this book as only 18 pages are included here of over 200. Where is the rest of the novel?

When I saw "18 pages" I was a little bit disappointed, not going to lie, but then... the story already got me hooked even if we only caught a glimpse of it. I can't wait to be able to read it all, since I've been a Rainbow Rowell fan for a while. The illustrations are amazing, I'm loving the style. It goes so well with the "fall" theme!
Summer can't come soon enough.

Good beginning - didn't realize it wasn't the whole book when I requested it.
Looking forward to reading it when it comes out.

Pretty adorable graphic novel from popular YA author Rainbow Rowell. This was just a snippet, but it looks great and reads well. I already like Deja and Josiah. I definitely want to read more.

I’m already sucked into the story, and I only got to see 18 pages! The line that’s already stuck in my head is “friends don’t let friends lead small lives.” I’m already a big fan of Rainbow Rowell, and I can’t wait to see where this story goes. The illustrations are beautiful and draw you right in.

I love the autumnal feel to the artwork and the main characters are very likeable so far. I'm a fan of Rainbow Rowell's writing so this will be an automatic purchase for me. I really enjoyed the sampler and can't wait to read more.

I need the rest of this story! I will definitely buy this for my library. We are big Rainbow Rowell fans.

I'm in love. I love this sweet sweet autumnal story and the cute main guy! I'm only gutted that it ended and I'm going to have to wait for more.

I'm interested in seeing more about where this story goes. It started out a little stagnant but definitely got rolling by part two. Rowell's signature flow began to show then with Josiah and Deja's banter and it picked up. The pictures were well done and helped convey the tone.

This tiny preview was NOT enough!! What happens to Josie?! I am already in love with this book! My students are too young for it (K-4) but my own kiddos will love this! I can't wait to get my hands on the whole thing!

I did not expect this would be a teaser, but it looks sweet so far. TBH, it was pretty short, so it is hard to get a great idea of where the story is going, aside from the obvious romance, so it is hard to evaluate it. However, the characters seem authentic and sweet and the art is great.

Not much to say about this since it was a super teeny teaser arc, but thus far it pretty much just reads like the start of a normal teen romance. That said, I certainly expect Rowell will shake things up as it moves along.

ARC provided by Netgalley and the Publisher.
Well ... it was an ARC of the first 18 pages. And I am invested now ... but I have no more pages to read. I just want this sweet, Halloween, pumpkin-spiced story in my hands right now. I guess this just really speaks to my basic fall obsessed New England heart. I WANT MORE!

Well, that ARC was a tease! So far so good, though. I'm enjoying the M/F friendship between the leads and I'm digging the setting, but that's all I can say, having read such a small fraction of it. Looking forward to reading more!

I didn't care for the book, it wasn't moving along at a steady pace. to predictable. cute boy, meets cute girl

Very adorable. Wish is was Halloween time already so this graphic could go with the autumnal feel. Very short preview, but has lots of potential

This teaser is too tiny! I need more of this pumpkin-patch romance. I am excited about the M/F best friendship, POC characters, and the charm of Halloween and pie. Can't wait to get my hands on this one.

As always, Rowell's books are interesting and enjoyable---great beginning with detailed, inviting illustrations!
Looking forward to the whole story!

Hard to say anything precise about the comic, since the teaser is too short to analyze anything. I did like the setting very much and there aren't that many farm comics and especially about pie making. I like Rowell's awesome friendly romantic approach and of course having POC characters is a plus too. The art looks cute and fun, but still serious in a sense. I surely want to keep reading this, since it's hard to say where this is going and that's interesting in its own right.
