How can V love Claire truly, madly, deeply…and protect her from the forces of fire and darkness that could destroy them both? After awakening for his doomed sleep, V must find a way to win back his sword, wield its power and try not to fall prey to his own illicit desires. He knows better that to mess with a mere mortal but he instinctively knows that Claire is The One who can help regain the use of his sword and restore his place at Dreagan.

This newest Dragon King romance is a stunning and overwhelmingly intense read! Claire and V are powerful, sensuous characters that easily take the readers’ world by storm as they demand their attention. The romance between them sizzles with undeniable chemistry while the relationship is as sweet as it passionate. V’s tentative courtship of Claire is endearing and makes readers sigh in pleasure while Claire’s opposing thoughts of her standing in relationships is also endearing while her secret gives readers insight into her life as well as into the truth about dating.

The plot is fast paced and has excitement and electrifying suspense building throughout as the Kings, Rhi, Death and the King of the Dark prepare for the battle to come which is a tough task to undertake considering they discover just how manipulative and underhanded the Queen of the Light has been and continues to be. Unexpected twists keeps readers guessing right alongside the characters but what’s more this story has a couple of prodigious and jaw-dropping surprises that not only stuns readers with the possibilities but also shows readers just how true love is supposed to be. Readers have no way fighting the all-consuming need to finish this thought-provoking and exciting story once they begin.

I was really looking forward to V's book. The last Dragon King book included V as one of the main characters and it ended with V showing interest in another character that we've "met" in previous books, Claire. I knew this book would reveal more twists to the plot and I was not disappointed. Claire and V's story was fun and refreshing. Their story was different from the others, in many ways but the fact that they had already met was a fun difference. Finding love in someone they already knew is always interesting and refreshing, in my opinion. I can't wait for the next DK book, thank you Ms Grant!

Ugh. I can’t believe 50% of this book was spent rehashing what already happened. That isn’t an exaggeration. I kept looking at my Kindle shocked how far I had read into the book with no new elements added. The pacing for this series has been slow lately, but this time it was ridiculous. Any reader of this series could skip the first half and not miss a thing.

The lead couple had the usual paranormal romance insta-love. But it felt even less earned than usual because there was no obstacle threatening to keep them apart. There was a bit of trepidation, but basically after one date, boom they were ready to spend eternity together. What also bothered me is that V’s personal story has been all about him and his sword. So why in a book that features him as the lead did he spend about 10 pages total with it? Also, I’m over Useail. She is more a prankster then villain, and I’m over the good guys discussing her instead of taking action against her. We also didn’t learn any new information about The Others. This whole book had one new development at the very end, but it will take some time for that to progress. I am a fan of this series so I am not dumping it. But the pacing and action really need to pick up.

Sexy dragons abound! Crazy good series with amazing writing, fantastic characters and those gorgeous covers! There's always thrilling suspense, mystery and danger that continues the thread from previous stories and adds new layers and characters. This story features V, the King of the Coppers, and his fabulous sword with an ability that is killer and, of course, he's a sexy beast right along with his brothers. V questionable memories and his in and out of sync with his sword kept the mystery rolling along while he embarks on a romance with the lovely Claire. While there is sizzling chemistry between the two I didn't feel a real connection between them until late in the story. I think what threw me was the blogging that pop up during the middle of their time together. I really didn't like the blog potions and tended to skip over them to get back to the action and not necessarily the action between our lovers. I was all over the parts with Rhi (love her) and the evil Queen. There's always so much going on in these stories that I'm flipping the pages to find out what surprises are next, if good is going to triumph over evil, if a new player is joining the mix, and get a few answers to the burning questions. I love the tease that always there in the stories such as with Con. Will he ever find (or claim) his mate? And there's always an OMG moment that is stunning. While the ending wraps up the romance in a satisfying way there's still so much more to look forward to with the next story. Someone's gone missing! I can't wait! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.

Hawt Dayummmm! Loved this!!!! Highly recommended read and such a great addition to the series.

Ms. Grant does the voodoo that only she can do...beautiful writing, engaging characters, well-defined world, action, adventure, heat and hella addicting.

I cannot stress this enough - this is the 15th book of this series which happens to be a spin-off from the Dark Warriors Series and Dark Sword Series.

An ARC was generously provided in exchange for an honest review of which this is both honest and completely voluntary.

I was fully aware that this book is #15 in a series. I also knew I had never read Donna Grant but because I’m a stubborn mofo and the blurb sounded too good I had to go for it. Honestly, 85% of this book could have easily been read as a standalone. The 15% that I missed was mostly the connection between the Kings and their stories.

I am pretty darn impressed by this book because not only was it highly engaging but it was amazingly written. I kept wanting to scroll through the pages and read more. I am always here for a great World building and Donna Grant know just how to do that.

I adore Vlad so much. All the mistakes that haunt him along with his determination to do better for his brothers just made me fall for him. And the way he cared for Claire just made me love him more. I always appreciate a man who is a tiny bit vulnerable and emotional. Vlad was all that and so much more.

Claire is one hardcore chick. I liked her from page one and it grew to love when I finished the story. She supports her King, her friends and is downright loyal. Also, I’m pretty sure she can kick some serious arse if given the opportunity.

The story has so many twists and turns which had me on the edge of my seat. I am so thankful for all the tiny bits of information from previous books that was included in this one. They definitely helped me love this story more.

I cannot wait to read more books in this universe because I know the action has only just started.

This was my first book from Donna Grant and I really enjoyed it. I think I would have benefited from reading previous books out of curiosity of the previous plot points and it is definitely not a stand alone. I felt a connection to the story and the plot was good. I liked reading about their world and I enjoyed reading about all of the different characters. This is the first book that has had so many characters and I enjoyed it. Even though this is not the first book in the series, things were well explained about the history of the King Dragons. I appreciate that in a story.

What I liked:
The main male protagonist was a nice guy that was troubled by things going on in his main land. I love reading books that have a different world as well as the one we live in, it's interesting to see what the characters do in each world.

Characters: I loved V, he is a Dragon King who was sleeping for many many years and that gave me a vibe of Sleeping Beauty and that made me like the story even more. As Aurora was female and V was male, I liked the role reversal and the little hint of a retelling. And that is one of the things that made this story for me unique. Claire's character I really liked, she seemed like a good girl looking for love, she had many dating mishaps and was not having any luck in the dating world. I felt like she was emotional at times and too attached to a previous guys she was dating, but what it came to V, she was doing things she wouldn't normally do. Not a good girl turned bad, more of a go-getter, and I loved that for her because she was no longer sad, she was more realistic. Claire was very loyal and I admired that about her and it made her relationship with V better and more transparent.

What I didn't like:
The aspect of having a blog about dating was great, getting advice and sharing experiences is an awesome way to communicate with the dating community, but I could have done without reading what was actually written on the blog. I don't think it was necessary for the story and it just made the book a little bit longer. The ending wasn't wrapped up in a pretty bow like I like them but it makes me curious and I'm anticipating the next book to see what happens to the characters.

*The review will be uploaded to my blog tomorrow!

I am ready for the series to be over. We have 15 books in this series and almost as much in the spin-offs and all of them have the same secondary plot, which is to defeat the big bad lady. I am ready to see that happening and this book gave me the feeling that we will get there soon. According to the author's website, the series will continue until the 18th book, but I don't think that it's the last. I want the guys and their mates to have peace of mind, is that too much to ask? Also, I want Rhi's book, can we get that too?

And now that the crazy part of me has settled, I will try to be more rational. Ignite is the 15th book in the Dark Kings series. I don't think that it can be read as stand-alone, so I would recommend beginning with book 1 and seeing if the series is for you. Donna Grant is a very good author and I enjoy her stories, even in they frustrate me sometimes (you have read the first paragraph and know what I am talking about). V and Claire had an interesting story that doesn't completely end in this book. We still got our HEA, but they still have things to worry about. Once you read the book, you will understand what I am talking about.

I wasn't a big fan of Claire in the beginning because she was always in tears about her dating like and I thought that she should be better than that, but she grew on me and she became someone I liked. V was a good hero and a perfect man for Claire. These two gave me the vibe that they belong together, which gave a boost to my overall opinion of the book.

Even if you have stopped the series a few books ago, I would say read this one. It was good and so easy to read. The flow of the story was great and I would recommend the book.

Whenever I can and I come across her I try and jump into one of hers because I know I will be given a delicious paranormal read when I crave one. Having read some from this series I was excited to enter this one. This one also held my interest for many pages due to he has quite the story. V has quite the accomplishment he must do. Then you are given Claire whom spiced up the story and you are given hence the title too a ferocious tale to go deep into. You will be pulled to the edge more than once also with you needing to see how this will all come about. Things will also come to light with us eating them up with pleasure. This one was also one that gripped me a bit more than some of them thanks to V.

I love Donna Grant and her Dragon Kings world. It's fascinating and multi-layered and has a great many interesting characters and lots of sexy-times. This is book 15 in the series and features Claire and V (Vlad) but has many of the DK characters we know and love. War is coming...will the Dark Kings be ready?

I very much enjoyed this book. Some questions were answered while more were raised. And we still don't know who Rhi's king is...??? I cannot wait to read what happens next.
*Note: Because of themany characters and situations/adventures, I do not consider this book a stand-alone. I think all the books should be read in order for maximum enjoyment.*

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias.

First off, I have been hooked on this series since the first 3 novellas came out. I even went back and read the warrior and sword series that ties into the DK series. With each book we get a few answers but more questions. I’ve been patiently waiting for one big reveal and was disappointed we didn’t find out. Die hard readers will know what I’m talking about. If you don’t know what I’m talking about then you absolutely have to start from the beginning. It isn’t necessary but you get so much more out of this if you do. With only a handful of books left I hope we’ll start getting more and more questions answered.

Onto Ignite, I feel like I say this with every new book but this is one of my new favorites. Donna Grant has a special way of telling each story uniquely and by no way sounding repetitive. I can feel each and every character heart and soul and there’s so many. I could feel the connection between V and Claire within the first couple of chapters. I absolutely love how some of the Kings help play matchmaker. I hope we see more of this is the future. There is an unexpected twist that I can’t wait to see how it plays out. Also, we see all of our favorites pop in and out. If you haven’t read this book yet or the series you’re missing out.

I loved this novel! It was everything I was waiting for with V's book and the fact that his mate is Claire whom we met several books ago was everything! In this novel, V is feeling lost because he cannot get his sword to respond to him. He is the only one who can check on the dragons and he cannot. But he also isn't entirely certain he wants to either. What if they are all dead? Then there would be no chance of them ever returning.. Claire has had terrible luck in the realm of dating. To the point where she has given up on men and figures she will never find The One. All of that changes when she and V start to spend time together. She has always been attracted to him but they had never actually spent any time together. Add in the threat from The Others and rogue Useail things are just starting to heat up for the final battle of the Dragon Kings.

Avid fan here of Donna Grant and I cannot say it enough I lluuuurrrvveee DRAGONS!!! This is the 15th book in this series and I love how it keeps getting better and better. This is Vlad and Claire's story and it picks up from our last book. Even though I have been jumping all around this series and have missed a couple of books, Ms. Grant does a great job of summarizing all that has happened up to this point. There is an epic battle coming up between the Kings and Fae (both Dark and Light) along with that crazy Queen. All books are great in my opinion and only add to the suspense and drama going on between the different factions. So much politics, Lol. I applaud Ms. Grant on keeping the stories straight with overlying secondary arcs, this is true talent and excellent world building. Vlad and Claire connect on a level that neither took for granted. Loved them, loved the action, loved the suspense and all the secondary characters throughout this one. I absolutely loved it and that ending???? Wooooohooooo...I cannot wait to read what happens next!!! 5 Dragon-Loving stars!!!!!

Really good! I love paranormal romance! Donna Grant always comes through with an awesome story! I really loved it!

Let's start off by saying we really loved this story and we are really enjoying this ongoing series with these amazing characters that we could not help but, fall in love with and that we just love Donna Grant and her amazing books !

We love Claire and Vlad aka V's story from beginning to end.We found the story to be hilarious also that it had fun characters who had a sense of humor, was intriguing, and was suspenseful and had a story that had tons of twists and turns and a lot of the unknown. This plot is ongoing and every time you started figuring things out there was yet another surprise. The story was filled with a ton of betrayal as well as not knowing who to trust .There are a lot of players who normally are enemies are now aligning themselves with one another to take out one common enemy.

I found Claire to be funny and beautiful inside and out,a keeper of secrets and she had a great sense of humor, was daring and a hopeless romantic trying to find the one in all the wrong places.Perhaps she was a bit lonely and frustrated but , she starting blogging to vent those frustrations and well let's just say her posts were more than entertaining.

Vlad- aka V Let's just say we loved him from the onset of the story. He was sexy and sweet and kind funny and had a sense of humor, a bit lonely and lost and had the wait of the world on his shoulders.A Dark King who felt he didn't fit in this new world he is now living in but, that all changed when he caught a glimpse of a sexy blond who he couldn't seem to stay away from.We loved how Claire reminded Vlad who he was and what he stood for and just how very dangerous and powerful he really is and that is was more then capable of standing against their enemy who threatened the life they have created along with their mates as well as their families.

We loved that V and Clarie's courtship was full of fun and laughter and that they had this amazing chemistry and not only were the were lovers they were friends first and foremost .We loved that Claire eased his loneliness and vice versa.

I know this story had a lot of mixed reviews but, for us we were one of those who just loved this sweet and emotional romance tale with those sexy dragon shifters that we just adored but, most of all we loved those character's who made the story intriguing and fun and more than once had us laughing out laughed and that they made us tear up a time of two.

Looking forward to what is going to happen next as the story left us wanting and with a whole lot of unanswered questions and we can't wait to get them!

This is the fifteenth book in this series by this author. This book can be read as a stand alone read or as part of the series. If your looking for a read that has action and romance with some fantasy mixed in, this is the book for you. Amazing well written characters which have a fantastic story line. This is not my usual genre but i enjoyed it. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.

Highly recommended

This is the 15th book in the series and this story is about Vlad and Claire. Vlad has been asleep in his mountain for a long time and is learning to life in this different world. Vlad has finally recovered his sword but it no longer responds to him. Can Claire help him discover why? This is a fast-paced read with plenty of drama, twists and turns. I like Vlad but Claire wasn’t the strong heroine we are use to. I really liked it and look forward to finding out what is in store for our Dragon Kings next.

Another exciting chapter as the series advances. The forces for good and evil are readying for an epic battle. Even as many facts long hidden come to light enough mystery remains to keep readers chomping at the bit. This story whips up the excitement even while bring V and Claire together with some very interesting surprises to keep this story exciting. V has slept centuries. Awake and with his sword restored he should be in good shape but unfortunately even as he's afraid to wield his sword, the sword itself no longer responds to him. It's only when he gives in to his desire for Claire aided and manipulated by some of his fellow kings does his sword show a spark of response.
In parallel things are heating up between Usaeil who has been revealed to be more dark than white even while she still apparently reigns as the light fae queen and the forces of good that consist of the kings, Rhi, Death, and a surprise addition on the side of light. Usaeil also has been plotting and sowing seeds of disruption which will have long lasting impact on the dragon kings and their soul mates.
An interesting tidbit in the last few books has been the anecdotes on the Misadventures of Dating from the secret blogger who's not so secret anymore. The identity and the big reveal is somewhat of a let down but it was nice while it lasted.
Of course there are a lot of references about Rhi and her mysterious dragon king lover and also revelations about the good and bad druid forces that are responsible for the magic that seems to be stronger than a dragon kings magic. I'm salivating as things seem to be falling in place for the epic showdown and the status quo is changing.
As the story heats up and appears to be heading to an inevitable confrontation I can't wait to see it all play out.

This book continues the story of the dragon kings. If this is your first journey into this world – welcome! I think it may be a little difficult to catch up, but don’t doubt that it can be done. There is so much build-up to where we are now, but things are always changing along the way.

This story centers around V. Sure, there is a bunch of side story around Rhi’s building/upcoming war (and ex-boyfriends) and there’s always the bigger storyline making progress, but this was all about doing right by V. Poor guy, he has this nasty habit of causing mass destruction when he wakes from his slumber, so he may be the most out of touch dragon king of the bunch. This time around, as we learned in the last book, he finally found his missing sword and is somewhat whole again. Weird, though, that he still feels like he is missing something. It becomes pretty clear after a few pages of interaction between him and Claire. Maybe interaction is too strong a word as they were almost dancing around one another.

Claire is a woman who just cannot seem to meet the right man. Maybe she’s self-sabotaging at this point, because who could get into a relationship where you could never reveal a secret you’ve kept for years. Claire remembers her time being kidnapped and introduced to the magical world of dragons, evil, and other assorted monsters. She doesn’t hold a grudge, but she actively lied to avoid getting her memory removed. She knows V is more than he appears, but that doesn’t stop her from falling head over heels for the guy. It’s definitely not one-sided and these two ignite (see what I did there?) the pages of my kindle. There was an interesting and possibly heart breaking twist thrown in that I can’t wait to see play out in later books. Bring on more of these awesome dragon kings!

In Ignite, we delve into the world of V. This novel focuses a lot on character development and interaction without a ton of answers in the ongoing plot, however it sets us up for what will certainly be an explosive book 16 in the Dragon Kings series. Vlad learns that not all humans are evil, and there is one who can melt his heart. Clare is a strong, independent female lead who even though she is confident in her abilities, feels lost in the world. Together, they make an explosive couple.

“I’m with you because every time I see you, I crave to touch you. I long to kiss you, and I hunger to claim your body. The many reasons I want you have nothing to do with the sword, and everything to do with how I feel when I’m with you.”

Donna Grant's writing style stays consistent and engaging, the plot doesn't stagnate and we continue to get to know even more Dragon Kings building up for what will, I'm sure, be an epic finale...down the road.
