I must be the wrong demographic for this book, since the entire time I was reading it all I kept think was how exactly does one grown ass woman get everything SO wrong?!? The FMC thought she was getting promoted, and got fired instead. On the same day, she thought she was getting engaged and got dumped instead. And that's just in the first couple of pages. What comes after that is a slew of one cringy moment after another. I have read and enjoyed other Camilla Isley books, but this one just felt so superficial and unrealistic.
Thanks, Netgalley, publisher and author for this review copy.
I had an amazing time reading this book and meeting these awesome characters. The storyline and plot were good and so was the writing style. It was written in a cheerful manner and it soaked me in its blessing of goodwill and showing one can learn so much if they just open their eyes and embrace the things in their life.
Go after what they want and they most probably will have it!
This is one of my early books in the romcom genre and I'm so loving this genre and its book. I loved this book as well.
I have never is a 3rd book in the first comes love series and after reading this book, I'm so looking forward to reading those as well.
If you love romcom, this book is a treat!

I love this book a lot. I’ve recommended it many times in the past on my stories and I’ve went on to buy many more books in this series and just from the author in general. If your looking for a truly fun and light romcom with no sad or depressing aspects to it, then check out this book and the authors other work.
A funny, sweet romance. Blair loses her job and boyfriend all on the same day. She decides to be a rebel and do all things the opposite of what her 'list' says. In the process, she re-discovers fun in life. She also gets into a relationship destined for her
i loved reading this book. looking forward to the rest in the series
The storyline from the blurb seems pretty cool and it piqued my curiosity. The first chapter was really good— made me envision of a determined woman attaining all her goals but life wasn’t just in her favour. I loved her spunk at first but it started fizzing out when she got all lovey-dovey with this guy. I don’t know, maybe it was a bit out of character for her? Anyway, it was an okay read.
I breezed through it in less than half a day. I guess it’s perfect if you’re looking to read something to escape reality or just wants something cheesy/fluffy to read. Initially was going to give this a 3.5 but bumped it to 4 because... Chevron.
Edit: I forgot to mention that this book is part of a series by the author. If anyone is wondering if this can be a standalone read, feel free to read as it is.
Thanks to NetGalley for the copy!
"I Have Never" was the perfect, light-hearted read. I thoroughly enjoyed following Blair and Richard's romance. The characters were fun and well-developed. In fact, I ended up ordering more books by Camilla Isley before I finished reading this one.
I did not finish the book because it didn’t suit my interests. This may be right for others, it just didn’t suit me
This is the perfect little romance book that is packed with everything we love and want to read. I had so much fun reading this one and fell in love with the characters and the quaint setting!
Omgosh!! Soooo good! I couldn’t put this book down! Finished it in one day! It was cute, and fun, and real. I laughed, and I cried! If you are in the mood for a great rom-com pick this up! You will not regret it!!!
This was great. This was what I needed for the moment. It was easy and engaging to read with a friendly plus funny and respectable narrator. It was typical yet endearingly different in the loose sense of the word. But I enjoyed it quite a lot. The buildup to the relationship the contemporaryness of it all. I dig it all. Even now. But I don’t feel like rating it higher because it seems common enough in the contemporary world. Also I didn’t know this was a sequel of sorts. Will be reading the previous one and the next one as well. Because I have discovered a new writer.
Special thanks to the Publishers and Netgalley for this review copy.
This book was super cute. I’ve been in a reading slump lately, and this was just the book to get me out of it. The chemistry between Richard and Blair just jumped off the page. When they played Never Have I Ever/Truth or Dare, I felt the tension and heat from the characters as if they were in the room. Probably my favorite part, though, was the stream of Blair’s thoughts felt like talking to your best girlfriends. Overall, a really fun and cute read! I’m definitely going to read the rest of the books in this series.
Heartfelt and funny, this page-turning office romance was fresh and exciting. With off-the charts lol moments and unforgettable characters (both human and furry) this book really stood out.
Blair, is going to be my next bookish best friend even if I'll try and steal her beau and dog.
It was super clever how the game never have I ever was integrated into the story and each chapter, starting with its title, had me hooked.
I really enjoyed reading "I Have Never" and although I haven't yet read the first book in this series, I plan on doing so. I really loved the storyline and the characters and found this to be a very entertaining book. I think this would be a good holiday choice if you're a fan of the genre.
I received a complimentary digital copy of this novel at my own request from the publisher via NetGalley. This review is my own unbiased opinion.
I feel like I had some mixed feelings throughout this book as I was reading it.
I feel like it started out pretty strong. The very beginning was like a really good one-two-punch kind of thing, like it came out swinging and really set up the stage for good conflict in the story right out of the gate. And then it kind of coasted for a bit.
My note at 32% said this:
“I keep going back and forth between LOL and …seriously? It feels pretty light and fun, sort of Devil Wears Prada meets … Beauty and the Briefcase? But I keep wanting something a little deeper and beyond the surface. Definitely slow burn but not really any significant hint yet of heat, so it feels a bit dragging. Give me something I can hang onto soon, please!”
Up until a little past halfway through, I was struggling with sticking with the story because it was a little too slow of a “slow burn” for my taste. I kept wanting to see SOME kind of hint that these two characters actually liked each other and not just a one-sided, unrequited kind of thing.
There was even one point, one in my opinion rather egregious incident where I would have been completely done as in point of no return, no looking back, I’d have been done. But ol’ girl Blair wasn’t done, and I’m glad I kept reading because it was almost like the author really got into her groove at this certain point, and I really enjoyed the rest of the book from that point forward.
But … As much as I love dogs, I feel like the dog could have been left out of this story and it wouldn’t have detracted anything. I think it made the cheese factor a little too much for me the way it was written into the story. The dog can understand English? Lol
But there was a particular game of “Never Have I Ever” that turned into “Truth or Dare” at one point that totally turned things around for me with this story and won me over. Very realistic, and I loved how the tension built up higher and higher in that scene. That was the point when I decided I really liked this book.
An easy to read, sweet book. It’s been a while since I read anything remotely from the “chick lit” genre but this was a cute book. Definitely a holiday read.
This book is so predictable and it’s not difficult to guess what will happen next.
An easy pleasant read but there is no surprise in the storyline
I loved Blair, the heroine. Such a fun, sweet read as she traipses through her misadventures.
Many thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for my ARC. All opinions are my own.
This is a fun romance story that continues a series. There can be lots of laughs and the characters are totally relatable. I loved it!
The concept of freedom when we do the things we don’t usually do makes for a really fun and easy read! I enjoyed this book and found myself interested in the characters and their stories. Finished this one quickly
This is a case of the voice, setting and heroine working really well for me but the trope not being a favourite.
Just a personal preference and no reflection on the author or story, but the woman falling for boss thing and pursuing a romantic relationship that intersects with personal ambition just isn't totally my thing.
I felt that the story had a bit of a Shopaholic thing going on: what with the boss being enamoured with a competitor of the heroine from a previous job.
Alongside a gorgeously set Manhattan and jaunt to L.A., Blair's lists of "nevers" was a fresh and winning way to structure an immensely readable novel.
I will definitely be reading more by this author: she has a bright sense of humour and a keen handle on character.
With thanks to Netgalley.
