5/5 - This was a tight paced sexy erotic romance.
The story had backbone. The Hero and heroine were likable and sexy. Don’t bet me wrong this is an erotic romance; the sexy times were legit. Honestly, I’d like to read more about this couple. The novella ends as a HFN and I’m not mad about the ending.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of Being Neighborly.
What a quick and delicious read! Short and very sweet. Instant chemistry between Jess and Ryan made this novel just a little too tempting to put down!
Thank you to NetGalley and Meka James for the steamy ARC!
I like some of these Dirty Bits by different authors. It’s a cool way to read new authors and they only take about an hour to read. It’s definitely quick and dirty. Jess and Ryan waste no time getting to the sexy time portion of the evening. There’s insta love, some story and lots of fun times. Not a bad way to kill an hour.
This is a nice neighbors to lovers erotic novella but just not for me. I thought the writing was good and it was interesting to see both characters wrestling with what they wanted out of their relationship.
I dont read much erotica and so after a while I got a bit bored with the sex scenes but I think the chracaters were great. So a good book to read if you enjoy m/f erotic novellas.

This sexy novella is the perfect addition to the Dirty Bits line.
A curvy black woman embarks on a no-strings-attached fling with her cute construction worker neighbor. Things get hot & sweaty real fast! After all, what's a bit of consensual voyeurism between acquaintances?
What I enjoyed is the progression of their relationship from pants feelz to heart feelz over takeout & just... hanging out & chilling together. The heroine is so funny & sweet, our hero calls her Peaches :) He even helps her wash her curly hair ♥
CW: mention of tampering with birth control
Being Neighborly had so much potential, yet didn't run with it.
Instead what you get is one sexual escapade to another with no real development between the characters. Which is sad because I feel like in the beginning there could have been when they first met. Instead, the author decided to just go down the full smut route and forgot almost everything else. :/
Intriguing premise—new neighbors can see into each other’s houses and start flirting (and more!) through the glass. Held my interest for the hour or so it took to read. Some of the language was cliched/weird, as when the man describes grabbing the woman’s “meaty flesh”. Um...eww?
Quick, hot, and smutty. I really enjoyed this one and the characters. Appreciated the more diverse couple and of course how hot the sex scenes were. Can't wait to read more from this author.
Erotica filled with instant love, that’s pretty much sums up this quick read. I found it really hard to believe so many reviewers rated this series so high considering the mediocre content, characters, and lack-worthy sex scenes. Unfortunately I’ve read better and this just didn’t tickle my fancy. The only plus side to this is that I was able to get this done and over with in ½ hour. Overall, “Being Neighborly” has nothing worth mentioning.
I thoroughly enjoyed Being Neighborly! The writing was refreshing and real - it was enough to get past my bias when I discovered that it's written in third person POV as opposed to first (which is my preference). The way that Jess and Ryan first encounter each other is intense and sexy; combined with the literal heat of the setting, it's safe to say that the book is HOT! More than that, the characters felt real and relatable. I enjoyed the fact that Jess is a WOC but that is not fetishized. I liked that Ryan was very direct and straightforward about his attraction to her and that it was him that propelled the relationship forward. The book is everything I've come to love and expect from Dirty Bits and I can't wait for more! 4 out of 5 wine glasses.
