What a fascinating book. I was impressed by the storyline and the characters were all well written and complex. Where there are complex storylines combined with intriguing characters the reader experience is magnified tremendously. To have a book that is well written as well as entertaining is a delight. Reading is about escaping your world and entering another one. The word building was phenomenal in this book. Here I forgot about my own life and was immersed in the world created by the author. I would recommend this
Wowww.. What a fantastic read it was. Danielle does the job quite well keeping you engrossed in the tale till the end. It was very relateable and fairy taled at the same time. Absolutely loved it..
This is a well written story about the March sisters, owners of the bridal shop, Match Made in Devon. In this sleepy town these ladies are finding out more and more about their parents' secrets. Secrets that are making an impact on their current lives.
Charlotte the youngest has been married for years to her husband, Nash but she's changing and he's staying the same. He wants her to be the person that she was before but she can't go back to just being a farmer's stay at home, raise the children wife. She enjoys working in the bridal shop with her sisters and because of her growth and Nash's stagnate ways, Charlotte wants to spread her wings and see the world for herself; with or without him.
I enjoyed reading this story and would recommend to anyone that enjoys this genre of books.
The Butterfly Dream is the second book in this series. If you haven't read the first installment. You may be a little lost but it is still a very good read. The characters are well developed and believable. The bridal shop provides a wonderful setting. The writing style of Ms Blair is a bit repetitive but I like it for the most part. I will be waiting on the next story .

Having not read the first of the series I was thrown headlong into the drama of he March family. However the book reads OK as a standalone with enough back story to explain or allow you to reach your own conclusions about the various characters and situations.
The idealistic wedding dress shop is marred by the somewhat erratic behaviour of Charlotte, seemingly unhappy with her lot in life, specifically her marriage. She uses her sister and new Niece as an excuse to absent herself from both her home and her marriage and has a flight of fancy about disappearing off with a random man, known only via the internet. The story is of a fairly selfish midlife crisis for Charlotte, leaving her long suffering friends and family to pick up the pieces and try to talk sense into her.
2nd book in the series. They had many struggles to get by and family to be there when you need it for advice or a sounding ear. Enjoyed this read.
A book all about marriage, secrets and perfection. Can perfection ever be had? A very good book by a new author for me. I really recommend reading this book.
The second entry in the Match Made in Devon Bridal Shop Series, this novel centers on Charlotte. I loved that the sisters are getting closer and developing stronger bonds but still think Alex needs to relax and enjoy her life. Charlotte seems to be at a crossroad and decides to leave her husband and children to stay with her sisters and niece. While I’m not a parent or wife, part of me felt that this was pure selfishness on her part. I do understand that she needed to find herself, but she acted like a spoiled child for a short time. There are times we all wonder if the grass is greener on the other side though, and Charlotte was no exception. The writing is great and the storyline isn’t far-fetched. As with the first book, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and couldn’t wait to find out more about this family! Although the book is about women, for women, it doesn’t portray men as mean and or weak and I appreciated that. The characters all seem genuine and flawed, and ultimately true to life. All in all a very lovely story!
"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."
Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet, humorous romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!
The second book in the Match Made in Devon Bridal Shop series was a well-written, emotional book. Three sisters are running a family bridal shop. Middle sister Charlotte is trying to balance work, family and her marriage and her husband, Nash is pressuring her to stop working at the shop. She loves him, but she has changed since they first married. She's craving freedom and the ability to figure out her future path. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the third book in the series.
I am a sucker for multiple books of a well written series that tackle a bunch of friends/siblings till their happily ever afters are all well settled. That said, I need to comment that the covers for both the books of the series are too generic and do not match the description of the sisters, their attires, physical sizes and only the fact that one of the them is not the same 'colour' as the other two is indicated in these standard covers. I am not saying they are unattractive or that it wasn't the first thing that caught my eye but they do the story inside a disservice.
The second book can be read without the first but if you end up reading the first, do not miss reading the second because this is not a standard happily ever after type of tale and you deserve to know what happens next.
The second installment of the series is Charlotte's story. She is feeling like the odd one out next to her well-travelled and successful sisters. She is the heart behind the bridal store and she has kept their trio ticking. Now all that work has finally gotten to her. She wants something different and is not completely sure what. Her husband struggles to catch up, always two steps behind her and trying to woo her back to her role as nurturer and fixer in the family of five. She is more real in these pages than Alex was in the last book but we get a look at Freesia (the third sister)'s heart and mind as well. Charlotte struggles to maintain sanity while trying to regain control of a life she never realised she lost control of.
I was in tears for more parts of this tale than of her sister's but there times I just wanted to shake all of them, which may have been the purpose of the narration all along! This is a good series to pick up if you like reading about strong independent women who are reaching a new happy equilibrium in their lives!
The only reason I was unable to give both a full five stars was because there were too many instances of adultery as a plot point, making it a teeny bit repetitive. It is a quick read and a good one as well.
Charlotte and Nash married as teenagers, but Charlotte finds herself discontented with her life nearly two decades later. Her parents are now gone. Iin the aftermath of their deaths, she discovers that, despite the fact that they appeared to have had a very happy marriage, they both committed adultery. In fact, her father had an illegitimate child with another woman. As Charlotte struggles to find out who she is now, she realizes that she and Nash have been growing apart. After finding out the truth about her parents’ marriage, she wonders if her marriage is meant to last. Readers watch Charlotte as she struggles to discover who she is and what she truly wants.
This story is the continuation of an earlier story that focused on Charlotte’s older sister Alex. Alex’s story with Jonah and her infant daughter continues as does the story for their newly discovered half-sister Freesia. I look forward to finding out more about Freesspia in the final book in the series.
