Quite a good thriller. Not read anything by this author before, but would be interested in reading others.
I don't know about this one, really.
I was interested originally because it sounded like a mystery or a thriller, but I didn't get that vibe from it. By default I guess it would be considered a mystery, but it was more like a sci-fi one.
It just wasn't what I was expecting. I couldn't get into it, it seemed to move slowly for me. The characters were also just okay, a little flat.
If I was more into government related things maybe I'd be into this more but I tend to stay away from that type of reading.
Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and of course the author for this digital ARC in exchange for my unbiased review.
This book is a twisted psychological thriller and was a very enjoyable read!
ooohhh this was quite an unexpected dose of awesome, creepy, weird, dark and twisted.
It was a different type of psychological thriller for me and I really enjoyed it. I felt the characters were strongly introduced and I like how each chapter was set up by a different narrative but overlapping with the previous narrative.
4 shiny stars!
thank you #Netgalley, the author and the publisher for my free ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Zero stars to this ridiculous other-worldly farce of a novel. Became so ludicrous I kept going just to test the limits of my patience, Dialogue, plot, characters, all so subpar I can't believe these words ever hit the printed page. Truly an embarrassment to all those incredibly talented authors out there whose books reside close to this one, Stay away! Absolutely awful!
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author, for an ARC of this book, in exchange for an honest review.
I thought that this book was an original, exciting and addictive psychological thriller.
I would definitely read another book by this author.
I've read several books by this author and have enjoyed them all. This one was no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Fast paced and easy to read. I highly recommend this book.
" I don't know why we were put here together. On this plane, at this moment in time. I think your something I lost, perhaps a long time ago. Now that I've found you, I'm not going to question it and I'm not going to explore it any further. I'm just going to let this magic exist in the world."
This book was completely different from what I first imagined when I read the description but a good way. This was one of the most original plot lines I have read in a long time. The characters were very engaged and likeable. I like how the chapters switched between clara and jakes points of view. This book had me very creeped out though and I wasn't exactly sure what was going happening in the beginning, my wheels were constantly spinning but as the book progressed things fell into place. There were twists throughout and I found myself holding my breath a lot. This was a great psychological thriller.

I was extremely excited to get approved for an ARC of this via NetGalley! This has been an anticipated read for me. Loved it!
The Dead Girl in 2A is a fascinating novel for fans of books like The Girl in the Window and Dark Matter. This book is definitely a thriller, but it comes with a side of sci-fi as well.
Jake Buchanan and Clara Stone connect on a plane, and there's an immense feeling of deja vu that they've met before. There's a connection, but they cannot place how they've met. What comes to unfold is that they were part of an experiment as children. The story takes off once Clara disembarks the plane - sharing she's on her way to commit suicide.
Read and reviewed in exchange for a free copy from NetGalley. This book was completely different to what I expected, and I'm not sure what I thought of it. At times I found it too slow going, and I wasn't able to connect with the characters, yet I wanted to know what was going on. I found it very unsettling in places.
The Dead Girl In 2A is a twisted psychological thriller. Jake and Clara meet on a plane. Jake feels that he somehow already knows Clara, but the connection is elusive. The two realize they do have some things in common. When it's time to exit the plane, Clara confides to Jake that she is going to kill herself. She disappears into the crowd. Jake knows he has to find and stop Clara. The story is told from the perspectives of both characters. It's interesting to see the reaction of each to their current situations. The plot is convoluted and bizarre, and you will be confused at times. The pieces slowly fit together about Jake and Clara's connection. Who is responsible for this manipulative situation and why? The answers are odd but so fascinating. This book is thrilling, disturbing and complex. The main characters are sympathetic and engaging with a splash of tragic. I was absolutely riveted and enjoyed this book. Thanks to NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.
I really liked this book. The story begins on an airplane where Jake believes that he knows the woman next to him. The book breaks off into different point of views and is good and going back and forth in time to explain how they know each other and to solve the mystery. The book really kept me guessing and loved the ending. Thanks for the ARC, Net Galley.
"This is some messed-up shit."
I don't think there is a better quote to sum up this book! Jake and Clara happen to sit next to each other on a flight and both have a feeling that they know each other from somewhere. In an attempt to find a link between them, they reveal parts of their lives to one another and discover that they are both orphans who tragically lost their parents at the age of 8 and 7 respectively, but neither of them can remember anything from that time of their life. Clara also confesses to Jake that she is flying to Denver to kill herself.
Having never read a book by Carter Wilson, this book was a nice surprise for me. I really enjoyed this twisted thriller where the lives of the two main characters intertwine in the most bizarre circumstances as they start to uncover the truth about their childhood and erased memories. Fans of psychological thrillers are in for a treat! Although, I would say that as with most psychological thrillers, you will need to suspend your disbelief to truly enjoy it.

The Dead Girl in 2A is a creepy unique book. Two strangers in a plane think they have met before, but can't place where. This book is well written and has interesting characters.
Jake Buchanan is offered a job he can't refuse, so while flying to meet his new boss he encounters another passenger he feels he knows. Clara Stowe can't help but keep glancing at her seat mate because she feels like she knows him. They talk for a while and realize that although they feel they are familiar they can't remember meeting. Clara admits her reason for flying to her destination is to commit suicide and then she disappears in a crowd. This begins an intense roller coaster ride where no one is who they say they are and no one can be trusted.
The story grabs you and although sometimes confusing it keeps you on the edge of your seat.
The Dead Girl in 2A by Carter Wilson
This one got off to an intriguing starting. The Dead Girl in 2A isn’t about a dead person in an apartment as I assumed but the seat of a plane.
Jake Buchannan knows the woman sitting next to him on his business flight to Denver—he just can’t figure out how he knows her. Clara Stowe isn’t in Jake’s line of work and didn’t go to college with him. They have nearly nothing in common apart from a deep and shared certainty that they’ve met before. Despite their best efforts over a probing conversation, both struggle to figure out what circumstances could possibly have brought them together. Then, in a revelation that sends Jake reeling, Clara admits she’s traveling to the Colorado mountains to kill herself, and disappears into the crowded airport immediately after landing.
The Dead Girl in 2A is the story of what happens to Jake and Clara after they get off that plane, and the manipulative figure who has brought them together decades after they first met.
I figured there was a link between them and definitely someone who planned out their seemingly random meeting. The book is like a puzzle with random pieces that all come together. If you like the themes of childhood, flashbacks, and repressed memories, this is for you!
Due out in July.
Two people meet on a plane. They both suffer from memory issues but know each other. At the airport, they separate and continue their journey.
I liked the plot - all eas explained to satisfaction. Suspense could have been heightened.
Overall good read.
This was kind of a bizarre one, not at all what I expected. Jake and Clara meet on a flight and are both convinced they know each other in some way but can't figure out how. She also informs him that she is on her way to kill herself. Things take a pretty strange turn from there on, borderline science fiction. I don't really want to give anything away, but this is definitely not your typical "somebody gets murdered" suspense novel. It wasn't what I would normally read, and while it was okay, I didn't love it. 2.5 stars rounded up to 3.
I had a hard time getting through this and found it predictable. Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to read this novel in exchange for an honest review.
