As a farm girl who also has family on Oahu, I had to read this book. I’m so glad I did! Being to Hawaii many times I knew very little about this part of their history. It was quite interesting and a pretty quick read. Will definitely be recommending it to others!

My husband is a lover all things western so I requested this book so that he could read it and tell me about it. Well he enjoyed it so much and kept telling me all of these great nuggets of interesting history that I started to read it too. I really enjoyed it! Very readable and so interesting! A little gem. Having spent a little time up in the mountains on the Big Island as they refer to it, I had a new appreciation of the ranching life and it's long tradition. I didn't know much about Hawaii's history so that was a bonus too. Living in the west as I do, ranching is part of our heritage and I believe anyone would find this book an enjoyable read!.
