I breezed through the extended preview far too quickly and I'm beyond anxious to continue reading this book once it's released.
Kailyn is ambitious and driven in her career and a closet fangirl at heart.
Dax is reeling from loss and his whole world is being turned upside down.
Can a spark from 5 years ago be rekindled after the sting of betrayal or will history repeat itself?
I can't wait to find out!!! I already love the multiple perspectives and the banter.
I need to know what happens next!
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for this extended sneak peek of Helena Hunting’s newest novel, Meet Cute.
I read this excerpt super quickly. I expected a fun fast paced rom com style book and Hunting delivered.
What I was not expecting was the family drama that added depth to the book and characters. I am fully invested and care what happens to everyone In this book.
Can’t wait to get my hands on a completed copy and recommend to my friends.
Oh my gosh! I need this book in my life ASAP!! The extended preview was such a tease. It’s amazing how many emotions I could feel in those few pages. Right off the bat I was laughing out loud and then shortly after I’m basically in tears. I can’t wait to read the rest of this story!!
This is such a wonderfully cute story! If you loved The Kiss Quotient you will love Meet Cute! This extended preview made me so excited to read this one!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with the extended preview.
I love Helena Hunting's writing and this sneak peek has me hooked! I need this book in my life as soon as possible! I'm definitely going to pick it up as soon as it's released!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with the extended preview.
The sneak peek was definitely INTERESTING enough for me to want to pick it up soon! This seems like just the right amount of cheesy that I would like, so definitely picking it up when it releases! :)
Meet Cute is so cute!
It follows Kailyn and Daxton as they reconnect after law school. Well...Kailyn is Daxton's biggest fan until after law school. Tragedy happens when Daxton's parents tragically killed in a car accident leaving Daxton to take care of his thirteen year old sister. Kailyn is appointed the conservator of his sister's trust and they are forced to reconnect.
As Daxton is navigating trying to figure out a teenager, Kailyn creeps back into his life and they have a "meet cute" moment.
This is a great rom com and is so stinking cute. Will Kailyn become Daxton's biggest fan again? Will Daxton figure out how to take care of a teenager?
I guess you will just have to read it! It comes out April 9th.
Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for the advance e-galley.
It´s a sweet and funny preview! I really want to read it. I know I will enjoy this book so much :)
Well I'd definitely enjoyed this teaser! This preview was off to great start and has kept my interest! I really enjoyed the characters and look forward to read the full story!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with the extended preview.
I so can't wait to read this book. Love this extended preview. I love Helena's books. Is it here yet
Oh! My! Gosh! I have only had the luxury of reading the preview of this book, but I can hardly wait for the April 9th pub day! I am so excited to get this book and finish it, I want to know how it ends. So far, I have literally laughed out loud, become one with the main character, Kailyn, and have felt sorrow with the male character Daxon Hughes! This is a definite book to pick up...more to come!
Anything I read from Helena Hunting is usually always good. This was no exception. Be it only the first four chapters. It was was like a teaser. I wanted more. I will have to buy the book to know more. The two leads are chemistry filled. I love enemies to lovers..as it’s my favorite trope.
You have a headstrong female and a unstoppable male lead who has just unexpectedly gained a child. What else can either of them do? Except help one another.
Pick it up Helena is hardly ever a near miss!
Kailyn is funny and smart and I loved her chemistry with Daxton Hughes. The writing is lighthearted, entertaining and fun. I just didn’t want this preview to end. Cannot wait to read the whole in April, and I bet it will be one of those page turners that you finish in one sitting.
Y'all, I loved the preview of this book! Can we get to April 9th and get the real thing? This is the first time I've read a preview/teaser & its such a great way to see if a book is for you. It's like speed dating & I'm Into This book. So far it's got heart, competition & I'm really liking the characters. I can't wait to read the full book!
This could be a really neat story, but the characters just aren't likable enough for me. Now, given a little more time in the book I'd probably like them, but I just didn't connect. Note that this isn't a full book, just a preview.
It seems like this could be an emotional read. The first chapter seemed cheesy and embarrassing, but I was pleasantly surprised with the twist at the end of them being rivals. I'm eager to see how Daxton takes on his new role, and how it plays into the story. Excited to see how the rest of the book goes!
Wow! That's the first thing I have to say after reading this preview. Helena Hunting is literally one of the best chick lit authors out there. I would have her next to Alice Clayton as one of the funniest authors out there for me! The first book I ever read of her's was Shacking Up. It was so funny and adorable to me that I immediately fell in love with this author.
Even though this was a preview, I really enjoyed it. That's how good I know this book is going to get. When the book officially comes out, I'll have full on depth review of this story of Daxton and Kailyn, plus Emme. I feel like I'm going to fall in love with Emme. Daxton and Kailyn hopefully are going to have good angsty storyline because I am here for it!
I really enjoyed this preview of Meet Cute and look forward to reading the entire book! I had heard wonderful things about Helena Hunting but this is the first book I am reading by her.
I want more.
The extended preview was a strong start and peaked my curiosity. The lead characters are interesting and dynamic and the plot was a strong, fine balance of believable drama and humor. It's definitely a book worth picking up when it is released.
Having only read the first few chapters I am already hungry for more! This book captured me from the first page and it has all the makings of a great love story. There is a great first meeting, a love/hate relationship in the making, and a personal tragedy that must be overcome. I can't wait to see how it all plays out.
