What a great preview of Meet Cute. I really enjoyed reading it. Thank you for the preview. I received the newsletter from Helena Hunting about the extended preview of Meet Cute.
I received the newsletter from Helena Hunting about the extended preview of Meet Cute. I was so excited that I grabbed it up. What was I thinking? Now, I NEED MORE. It's exactly the kind of book that I love. Can't wait for more of Kailyn and Daxton.
I just finished reading the extended preview of MEET CUTE and I can’t wait to read more. I love everything Helena Hunting writes and I am so excited she is coming out with a new book. The character and story grabbed me from the first page and now I am anxiously awaiting the release of this book to find out what happens next.
Wow. Meet Cute has been on my list anticipated reads of 2019 and this extended preview was so amazing. I'm intrigued and need to know what happens next. Kailyn and Daxton have so much chemistry and I loved their meet cute. It's truly a testament to Helena Hunting's writing that she was able to pull me in and leave me wanting more. This extended preview was hilarious, steamy, and will leave readers counting down the days until April 9th.
Goodness! I love pretty much everything Helena Hunting writes. When the Pucked series ended, I felt like I was loosing friends. But I knew that she would write new stories that would bring other characters to life. Reading this extended preview of Meet Cute, I was not disappointed.
Meet Cute is so much more than what you see in the short previews that are out. The story sucked me in from the start. A "meet cute" is an amusing first encounter between characters in a book, movie, etc. The meet cute between the book's main characters doesn't disappoint. Dax and Kailyn are two dynamic personalities. Reading this preview lead me through a gamut of feelings. There are a couple of stories underneath that I just know will not disappoint.
I can't wait for the release of Meet Cute. I plan to have a nap the day before the release because I'm going to start reading it when it drops at midnight.
Honestly? I was so upset when I reach the end of this preview. I was in the zone.! And suddenly, I'm cut off cold turkey from what could be the start of something uh-freaking-mazing.! Love every aspect of this story so much already that I know this is something promising. Definitely not a story anyone should be skipping out on. It's got basic concepts, but the author made them look extremely different and fresh.
This preview has made me doubly excited to read Meet Cute when it is released. I can't wait to fully dive into Kailyn's and Dax's story.
This was such a good but cruel teaser! While I'm loving Kailyn and Dax, I hate that I have to wait to read all of their story! This is already a pre-order for me, and you should absolutely get this one too!
This is such a good beginning ! I’ve been dying to read this book but unfortunately, it is still not available so I just have to hope the publisher will grant my wish.
The story begins by the meeting between Kaitlyn (the heroine) and Daxton Hughes, a famous TV actor, at the university. Kaitlyn has been crushing on him since forever as she grew up watching the TV show he plays in. So naturally, when she meets him, she is so excited to meet her teenage crush. At the beginning, their relationship is predictable, with Kaitlyn drooling over Daxton every time she meets him. But you can’t judge a book by its cover and Kaitlyn will learn this the hard way.
Few years later, Kaitlyn has become a successful lawyer and she has her own law practice. One day, three people walk through her doorstep because they need her lawyer skills; these three people are Daxton’s parents and himself. What a surprise for Kaitlyn, as she promised herself she would never cross Daxton’s path. As one say, never say never as destiny has another plans for both of them. When a tragedy hits Daxton’s family and change his life forever, he will beg her to help him in an essential personal matter. Even though Kaitlyn has not forgotten Daxton’s wrongdoings on her behalf, she will finally agree to help him.
Concerning the characters, Kaitlyn is the kind of heroine I like. However, I despise Daxton (for those who read the first pages, you understand why). However, I feel like he hides a lot of things and I would gladly discover all of them !
To conclude, I strongly advise everyone to read this free extended preview.
I need MORE, MORE, MORE after reading these first few chapters! Helena Hunting is absolutely the best author!
I'm a huge fan of this author,I love her books so i was so excited to have the opportunity of reading this preview and now I need more!.
I cant wait to read the complete novel
My wish for Helena Hunting's Meet Cute is still pending on Netgalley but I snatched up the free preview and BIG BIG HUGE MISTAKE!!! Omg this book is soooo good and I can't to get my hands for the full copy!
OMG I NEED THIS BOOK IN MY LIFE NOW!!!
I AM HOOKED!!! Helena Hunting had me at the quirky cover and the blurb. I do not usually want to read a preview because I worry to want more. Here I am now intrigued and waiting impatiently to be able to devour the rest of this story in one sitting!!
A must read and what I predict will be another huge success for the fantabulous Helena Hunting!
The title is a common trope used in rom coms the world over. I find it lazy or ridiculous at times, but with it being the title I am hopeful the author knows this trope is cliche and has bigger plans.
This book does take on some pretty serious real world challenges and themes and I am really interested in seeing how they are handled in this genre.
The writing is, as others have said, a little rushed at times, but the story has some interesting characters and an engaging plot. I want to read the rest!

I enjoyed reading the preview and found myself wanting to know what happens! Would love to review the complete book. The only critique I had is I would have loved the perspective from the male character in their law school meeting. You don't know what he is thinking when they first begin the story.
I've been seeing Hunting and her books, especially anticipation over this one, all over Instagram for months. This preview was so cute! I can't wait to read the whole book--it will be my first Helena Hunting book! Now I just have to go and get my hands on her previous books...
Such a great story with the perfect little meet cute. I really love Helena’s writing style and can’t wait for more.
I read the 4 chapter extended preview at netgalley.
Meet Cute is a contemporary romance. The narrators are Kailyn and Daxton (1st person POVs). The book starts with them starting at law school. He was a famous teen actor. And she was a big fan of his hit show.
The next chapter moves forward to five years later. Kailyn is a lawyer and she runs into Daxton again.
I'm normally not a fan of reading previews. But I had been very curious about this book and author. So I decided to try it and see if I liked it.
Overall, I would say that the first four chapters were interesting enough that I would definitely want to continue this story. It was funny, but also had some serious aspects. I am curious to see where the story goes.
I really like the premise of this book, I just wish the setup intrigued me enough. The main character reads younger in the prologue, so when I read they were in law school it felt a little jarring. The story quick gains speed and intrigue as we move into Daxton's chapters. Between the beginning and the habit of telling-and-not-showing, it was a bit of a bumpy read but not enough to keep me from knowing what happens.
Meet Cute has been on my TBR since I first discovered it. Helena Hunting has written a lot of other books, but the only one I've read is Good Luck Charm. It was okay, but I didn't love it. I wanted to read this one because of the synopsis AND the cover. I mean, how cute is that cover? Y'all, this book is the closest thing I've read to The Hating Game (one of my all time favorites). It is the cutest, sweetest, most swoon worthy story about a girl and guy who meet in law school and then reconnect years later when the guy's parents die and leave him in charge of his 13 year old sister. I found myself grinning and smiling and literally laughing out loud at parts-just like The Hating Game.
