A fun to read romance with characters that make you want more! Georgie is the clown of the family, literally. She runs an event planning business and is looking to expand, but no one takes her seriously. With some new cloths and confidence, Georgie can reach her dreams. Travis is down on his luck from a baseball injury. With Georgie in his life can he find a way to be happy?

4,5 stars
First and foremost, I have NEVER been so in tune with a third person story. My attention did not waver one bit, and that is a testament of this authors writing abilities. Being a new author to me, I was not sure what to expect from her and her capabilities. She completely astounded me, it was very easy to follow along with each character. They each had their own personalities, that didn't feel forced. They all had amazing development, which was amazing to go through with them. There was explosive chemistry, with even more explosive sexy times, that quite honestly had me fanning myself. Fix Her Up had everything a romance novel should have, and the best part is the trope UNREQUITED / BROTHERS BEST FRIEND love story.
Georgie is hilarious with a huge dose of wittiness that you can't help but love. She is little but fierce and has the heart the size of Jupiter. She enjoys second hand shops, and the simplicity of being comfortable. She has a not so average job, that she would not change for nothing. She loves kids with her every being, and gets along with them more than adults.
Travis Ford had everything in the palm of his hands until a career ending injury occurred in the middle of his Major League Baseball season. Now he is back in his hometown of Port Jefferson flipping houses with his best friend Stephen. He is trying to escape being known as ' Two Bats' and the Players player, and find a balance now that his dream is over.
When Georgie proposes a deal that will help them both, they both think, what can the harm be? But what happens when Georgie realizes her long time crush is more than just a crush?

I requested this book based on the description and hearing so many good things about Tessa Bailey and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the writing style and that we got both Georgie and Travis's perspectives. Georgie has been in love with her brother's best friend since she was little. Travis, who is 5 years older than Georgie, always saw her as a little sister until she started dressing differently. I saw a lot of people complain about how that is what it takes for her to be noticed. I saw it more as Georgie finally started dressing her age rather than in baggy hand-me-downs and this caused Travis to see her as a woman rather than the little girl she used to be.
I am a huge fan of fake relationship stories and this one did not disappoint. There was some angst, but not too much, which I really appreciated. I think this is going to be a great series and I cannot wait to read the next book.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the free ARC!

Thank you Nutgalley lol!
So I loved this book. Yes loved. It was just that the doctor or clown ordered. I'd been in a but of a slow reading slump and devoted this.
Georgie is a really relatable female MC. Shes sweet and overlooked. The virginity at early 20s did make me go yeah right but I moved on.
Travis was black and white. He was either noticing how sweet Georgie was or talking dirty ha!
I would recommend this book to friends easily and my local book club.
I do wonder if the name Georgie and her being a clown was a nod to IT pennywise 🤔

I love the illustrated cover trend, but I have to start this review by saying that the cover of Fix Her Up doesn’t quite match the story. I thought I was jumping into an uber cute rom-com, and though this did have some cute and fun moments, it was a bit emotional and a crazy hot brothers best friend story.
Georgie Castle is the youngest sibling and is never taken seriously. It doesn’t help her cause that she’s not in the family business, but instead is a professional clown (yes, you read that right). She loves kids and it’s her passion but it makes her family take her less seriously than they already do.
Travis Ford is Gerogie’s long time crush and her brother’s best friend. He is a former MBA player who is home after an injury got him out of the game. He’s a bit depressed about it and needs someone just like Georgie to get him out of the funk he’s in. Georgie does exactly that. And while doing that, she finds herself a little along the way.
I loved watching Georgie come into her own and start to believe in herself. That was my favorite part of the book. It wasn’t about her appearance changing some or her new clothing etc, it was about her finally feeling comfortable in her own skin. I also loved the ‘Just Us League’ and I’m dying for Rosie and Bethany’s books! I’m sure they’ll be just as great as this one was!
This started out with a girl with a long time crush. It turned into a friendship. Then the fake dating came to play. And then… then… the crazy hot sexy times. Then the falling in love. Travis started to see himself through Georgies eyes and develop more self worth as well. It was a beautiful thing.
I loved both Georgie and Travis. Georgie especially was so fun and sweet. Her personality made her so darn lovable. Travis is an alpha male, but in a good way. He started out a little rough for me, but I grew to really love his character. And every time he called Georgie baby girl I melted a little.
If you’re a fan of brother’s best friend books, the fake dating troupe, or your just looking for a hella hot and feel good romance, pick up Fix Her Up. This is probably my favorite Tessa Bailey book I’ve read to date!!

I really liked this book! I felt as though the youngest sibling issues were a little too repetitive in the first 30% (found myself saying, "we get it! move the plot along") but overall, this was a super fun read and a great story.

Ahhhh loved Georgie and Travis. Super fun and amazing read. From page 1, I could not stop reading this
Thanks Netgalley

Just the dedication told me this book was going to be great!
"To the youngest siblings everywhere"
I just finished this book and I absolutely loved this book!
This read gave me the feels. I mean there is some sexy screens in this book.
My only 1 complaint about this book is how Travis talks during sex. I felt like the other person was just a piece of meat. But once you read this you will know why....
But I still didn't like those parts. That is why I am rating this a 4 star read instead of a 5 star like I originally wanted.
My favorite character was Georgie she is the best of the best! She cares what people think of her but she doesn't let it show.
Now Travis...I was not a fan of his at all till he opened his mouth and stood up for Georgie. That part melted my heart just like it melted hers and her mother.
Ugh I loved this book!

A fast-paced, contemporary romance that will appeal to fans of the popular fake dating trope. Georgie is a fun, likeable lead, and I liked that Georgie had supportive relationships with other women in the story. Travis, on the other hand, was not my favorite and it was difficult to understand why Georgie had such strong feelings for someone that appeared to have ignored her for the most part (and did not "see" her until she had a feminine makeover...). The sex scenes were steamy but the dialogue was a tad cringe-y and over the top. The story was well-paced until the last third; the ending was rushed and the conclusion felt out of character for the two leads - but it was cute nonetheless. This was not necessarily a relationship I rooted for, but it was an enjoyable, easy read and I will probably read the next book in the series.

Love, love, love this!!! It was so hard to stop reading it and I loved Georgie's personality. She was funny, witty and sweet. The way she deals with Travis is adorable. She doesn't let his snarkiness get her down but also dishes it right back out at him. He also defends Georgie and I love when a man won't let anyone 'put baby in a corner'! The writing was steamy and sweet but also the characters really developed and they were so relatable. I want Bailey to write a separate book for all of them.
Trigger Warnings: Lots of steaminess. Also dug out scene (oh just wait, you will understand when you get there), some childhood neglect and cussing.

This story was so fun!
Travis Ford just lost his baseball career due to an injury and he is back in his home town, where he fully plans to wallow until the world forgets about him.
Georgie Castle is his best friend's sister. She has been in love with Travis forever and can't bear to see him falling apart. So she decides to help him, by giving him a wake-up call in the form of some lo-mien to the head.
I was really nervous when I started this book. Travis was so grouchy and mean and I didn't appreciate how he was talking to Georgie in the beginning, but I should have known better. By chapter 4 I had completely changed my tune. These two have smoking chemistry!
I was reading this at work on my break, and I had to stop. It was so delicious.
This story involves a fake dating troupe as well as the makeover troupe. I love both of those, so this was definitely the story for me.
I'm also not really into sports, but the baseball parts were pretty minimal and I wouldn't say you have to know too much to make it through. I know absolutely nothing and I had a great time.
This book also deals with how people perceive you and how you can work to change that. Not that we have to change who we are, but how we can help people and loved ones see us in a different life. There is a great scene between Georgie and her family that really brings this out. She has a loving family but being the youngest sibling by many years has left her out of a lot of conversations. I just really enjoyed how this novel handled it.
The only downside for me, and this was very small, is that the conflict at the end of the novel is the same as so so so many other fake dating novels, and I just wish it had found it in a different way.

This book is everything! I mean we had a best friends brother situation, fake dating, a professional athlete and his fall from stardom, a virgin and a man-whore, interesting family dynamics and side characters, the Just Us League and more. Tessa Bailey is quickly becoming a favorite author for me and this book was even better than I was hoping it would be! I can’t wait for Rosie and Dominic’s story! #FixHerUp

FIX HER UP by Tessa Bailey is the delightful and super hot rom com I've been looking for. Georgie is a classic little sister looking to break free of her family's watchful eye, and Travis is a sexy former baseball player with way too much pent up ... well, everything. So often romance novels can either be funny OR sexy, but Bailey manages to do both ALL. THE. WAY. I laughed out loud at Georgia and Travis's banter, the antics of the Just Us League (the feminist coffee klatch you wish you could join!) and Georgie's adorable family dynamics. And boy did I swoon when Georgia and Travis took it to the next level (again and again and again!). The heat on this book is turned up to 11, and thank god for that! It'll be perfect for your summer beach bag or a nice porch read, that way no one will notice that you're blushing and sweating because the book is so damn hot!

Thankyou for getting this book through Netgalley. This was my book by Tessa Bailey. I have heard lots of good things about her writing. This booked dragged for me at times. I did love her steamy scenes and the characters. Oh my she had me almost crying the end of the book very romantic.
Georgie has always wanted her brothers best friend. Travis was a baseball who got hurt she was the only one who truly was there for him.

REVIEW
This is my first book by Tessa Bailey, and I really enjoyed it. Rom coms with quirky girls and athletes are having a moment, and this one checks that box. Add in the faux dating trope, and we have Fix Her Up. It's like a Hallmark movie meets Harlequin meets HGTV. Georgie proposes a mutually beneficial arrangement to her childhood crush Travis, and we all know how that goes. This is a fun romp, and I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series.

“Scorching hot, and laugh-out-loud funny! You’ll want to read this book again and again.” -Katee Robert, New York Times bestselling author on Protecting What's His
“Sexy and deeply emotional... Bailey excels in telling the stories of foils, and Katie and Jack’s romance is an honest, beautiful example: Though opposites, these two make perfect partners.” -Washington Post
Many thanks to the author, NetGalley, and HarperCollins for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review.

Really cute book! I would totally read more in this series. Travis was a lovable playboy, Georgie was the tomboy next door turned....wait for it...clown. (Like big shoes, red nose, magic tricks.) But I really fell in love with them both and I was sorry to see this one end! Really sweet!

Thank you @netgalley for a review copy of this book. All opinions are my own. Fix Her Up is set to release 6.11.19!!
I finished this book a few days ago and immediately told all my friends to go add it to their to-read list!!! The romance was super steamy, but the storyline contained some great depth and character development as well. Georgie is the baby in her family and is having a tough time convincing everyone to take her seriously. Doesn’t help that she performs as a clown for children’s parties. She has never truly pushed herself or placed much focus on self discovery ... until Travis moves back to town. Travis was a MLB player until an injury ended his career. Unsure of what to do with his life now and haunted by his past, he’s pretty good at wallowing in self pity. Bet you can guess who Georgie has always had a crush on!! Problem is she remains in the friend zone since Travis is her brother’s besties. Desperate to prove that’s she’s an adult now and help Travis shed his negative reputation, the two decide to help each other out and pretend to start dating.
Goodness, the chemistry between these two was so so good. The moments when Travis started noticing Georgie was no longer an annoying little kid were sheer entertaining. The flirtatious banter and inner dialogue only intensified until no one could take it anymore. Bailey definitley didn’t leave anything to the imagination. If you were okay with the love scenes in The Kiss Quotient, then this book is for you!! I promise you will never look at a baseball dugout the same way.
I really connected with Georgie and her struggle with shedding that “baby of the family” image. I marveled at her courage to change stubborn perspectives and cheered out loud when Travis surprised everyone by standing up for her!!! His storyline touched on divorce, verbal abuse, downfalls of being a celebrity and doubt over self worth. I also thoroughly loved the focus on the importance of female support and empowerment. I enjoyed watching the Just Us League take control of their dreams while inspiring others to do the same.
I can’t wait for this series to continue with Love Her or Lose Her. The storyline was set up perfectly for the next two main characters and also left me with a serious craving for empanadas. Until then, I’m off to look up and read as many Tessa Bailey books as I can!!

Tessa Bailey is usually a hit or miss for me author. However, recently her books have been checking all the boxes in what I love in my romance novels. I'm glad to report that this book was one of them!
This book was filled with great characters, humor, and sizzling romance - the holy trifecta of a Tessa Bailey story. I always know when I start one of her stories that this is what I can expect. I have to say, though, that this is one of her best books yet. It was just so good in every way! I loved Georgie as a heroine so much! She was fun. Her personality was awesome. She was funny, sweet, but also had a backbone when she needed to. And I've never read about a character in a book being a professional clown for a living, so kudos to Tessa for her originality in putting that in here.
Travis is, for me at least, one of Tessa's best heroes to date. I fell hard for him. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the journey of him just thinking of Georgie as his friend's little sister, to realizing how perfect she was for him to then falling madly in love with her. He literally worships her, no question about it. The romantic gestures he pulls out in the middle and end of the book really got me. And well, I don't think I need to even touch upon the sexy times, do I? If you've read a Tessa Bailey book, you already know what you're in for. This may be a rom-com but it doesn't deter from Tessa's standard of ultra hot love scenes. No complaints from me on that front.
So, if you're looking for a laugh out loud, put a big smile on your face, swoon-worthy type of rom-com definitely pick this one up when it releases JUNE 11th! I highly recommend it, and I cannot wait for book two!

First, I want to say thank you to Netgalley and HarperCollins for providing me with an advanced reader's copy of Fix Her Up in exchange for my honest review. Thank you!
This is not my first Tessa Bailey novel, but it's definitely my favorite. Fix Her Up had everything I love about new adult contemporary. It had slow burn romance, uplifting women's empowerment, individual character growth, well-developed side characters, a fake relationship trope and a classic character makeover. I went into this one expecting to like it, but it surpassed any expectations. Fix Her Up is officially on my favorites list.
Bailey's writing is of high quality and it made it easy to fly through the story. I loved both lead characters for their romance with one another, but also their individual growth. Fix Her Up is a novel where the leads are not the same at the end as they were when we started. I also loved the myriad of side-characters. They did not feel shoved into the story. Instead, they also felt fleshed out and dynamic. It made me so excited for the next few novels in the series, so we can see move of these characters.
Overall, this is a very sweet new adult story with an emphasis on women's empowerment and personal growth within yourself. I can't recommend it enough. It is a 5/5 from me!
Full review will be posted on my blog, whimsicalandwitty.com one month prior to publication date.

Thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollins Publishers for providing me with the this ARC for an honest review.
I'll start by saying I totally loved Georgie. She was adorable and sweet and easily likable. Travis was hot and rough around the edges but also just a guy who needed some love. Their first scene together had me crackling and I liked how their relationship progressed though I do think the built up could've used more time. It seemed like the lust overpowered the other parts of their relationship in the beginning but slowly as I continued to read, the way they supported and listened to each other made it better. I liked meeting the other characters and seeing their girl group dynamic! There was a little bit of pacing issues here and there but overall, I enjoyed the book!
