This was ok for the most part but unfortunately it just didn't hold my interest. I promised myself I wouldn't force myself to get through books I wasn't completely connected with and this was one of those times. Just never really clicked with it so I skimmed.
I thought this was another good book in the series. Really liked the dynamic between the two main leads. It just was your typical romance now a days.
Sienna Hendricks is a public attorney who is smart, grounded and loves her work and her family. She is the attorney for a family issue and is pitted against a handsome attorney, Quinn Cavanaugh. The two attorneys are ordered to work together on the issue so they begin spending lots of time together. The attraction is there but Quinn comes with a history of living in the moment and not able to really commit. He is sure that he wants Sienna for more than a fling but she is totally against even beginning anything with a playboy like him. Kristen Proby writes a great story and this one will not disappoint! Four stars for this one!
Thanks to Avon, an imprint of HarperCollins, for allowing me to read and review this book. Publication date is July 30, 2019.
I love this author and this book did not disappoint. It's the second book in the series, but can be read as a standalone. If you are a fan of contemporary romance with just a hint of mystery, I highly recommend this quick and enjoyable read.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance reader's copy in exchange for my review.
All It Takes by Kristen Proby (Book #2 of Romancing Manhattan) 4 Stars
This is the next book in the Romancing Manhattan series following "All The Way". The first book was about Finn Cavanaugh and London Watson. This book features his brother Quinn and a new character, Sienna Hendricks.
The books starts out with the reading of a will in Central Park and that is where the two lawyers meet. Sienna is the granddaughter of a man who willed a parcel of land to city to be used as a park; Quinn represents a developer with a competing claim. Both are lawyers and both are ordered by the court to solve this problem together.
This book is not as intense as the first book, but it was still enjoyable and a fast read. The villains were kind of tepid. The best part of the book was the romance. Quinn was straightforward and owned his emotions, Sienna resisted for a bit, but eventually got her confidence and claimed Quinn. The next book should be about Carter and his assistant. I will be looking forward to it.
Thank you Netgalley and HarperCollins (Avon) for this ARC.
*Received an ARC of this book for an honest review* Kristen Proby is a new to me author and she did not disappoint. This is the second book in her new Romancing Manhattan series, however I did not feel lost coming into the series on the second book. This book was clearly about it's two main characters and their Sienna and Quinn, and Ms. Proby filled in enough of back story from the previous book so that the reader isn't lost. Sienna and Quinn's romance is a slow, delicious burn with Quinn teaching Sienna to let loose and Sienna teaching Quinn to make time. There's also a hint of that dramatic twist here and there to leave a reader on the edge of their seat wondering what really is going on just under the surface wanting you to read more. I'll definitely be picking up more of Ms. Proby's work, and continuing with this series to get more of these brothers.
This is the second book in the Romancing Manhattan series. I enjoyed this book as well as the first one. Quinn and Sienna are both attorneys who are thrown together to figure out a real estate issue upon her grandfather's death. They are both very likable, independent people with strong personalities that work well together. I did think the real estate issue involving her father and uncle were a bit contrived and somewhat unbelievable. However, it did not take away for the story.

This was a fun read and it is the second installment of the Romancing Manhattan series. This book is about Quinn, who is Finn's brother in the first book. He is an attorney representing a client that wants to claim a valuable piece of property that belongs to Sierra's family, the opposing counsel. The two meet in court where they are ordered to work together to find the evidence that win their case. Quinn and Sierra's time together at first is professional, but there is no denying that there is chemistry and they soon act on their feelings. They fall fast, but Quinn receives information that can hurt Sierra and he is conflicted as it could derail their relationship. Sierra exposes a secret that causes her to assess her relationship with Quinn and her family.
This was an easy, breezy read and I read in one sitting. The story shoots out of the gate immediately and the pace is consistent throughout. Fun summer read, looking forward to number 3
Finn and Sienna are both lawyers and opposing council on a case where they are both searching for the truth. When a judge order them to work together, Sienna resists but soon comes to see the advantage of having some help. Once these two smart, thrill seeking, sexy people get together, sparks fly! Of course it wouldn't be a romance without a bump in the road but overall it is a fun, sexy, and touching contemporary romance.
Quinn and Sienna are even better than London and Finn! I loved their dates, their personalities, and just every part of their romance! The 100 year old mystery was fun, too!
Romantic family drama filled with excitement. I enjoyed the Dynamics between Quinn and Sienna. I enjoyed both of their family backgrounds.
Pleasure to spend a few hours with them.
A sexy and romantic story. Quinn is everything you could want in a hero and Sienna is smart, talented, funny and tough. Thoroughly enjoyable.
I am a HUGE fan of this authors and this book is classic and absolutely wonderful. It was so great that the only thing I would change is to never endIt is book 2 in a series but it easily stands alone and it was even better than the first.
Quinn and Sienna are lawyers both fighting over some land. For S it is very personal as its a bout a plot of land for her family. For Q it is just a job. The two are told to work together and that is how they start spending time together.
S is a fun and perky character and Q is a rich lawyer who sees S and falls pretty fast. Together they create some really magical moments and I loved every second of their story.
