The first in a series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait to read the next one and hope carries on the storyline that was started.
I did not enjoy the writing of Wedding Bells at Villa Limoncello, it just wasn't engaging.
Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC for an honest review.
A sweet book set in the beautiful surroundings of Tuscany. Lots of frenetic activity and fun snippets such as the pink Vespa .
Felt a bit rushed and not as deeply developed as some of this author’s previous books e.g. those set in St Lucia.
While I enjoyed reading this book on a lazy Sunday afternoon, it was a little predictable and the big reveal was something of an anti-climax.
Would I read the rest of the series? Even though I have given it a 3🌟rating, i would... as this author’s writing always puts a smile on my face!!
What a wonderful book - with a beautiful setting and much-loved characters, this was a great, easy read. Thank you!
A quick cute romantic read. Izzie has been fired from her interior design job at Hambleton Homes, her best friend Megan persuades her to fly to Tuscany and plan a wedding set for her brother Brad’s next movie. The description of the Tuscan landscape and culinary delights transports me to another world. I read an advanced copy thanks to Netgalley.
This was my first book by this author, It was pretty enjoyable. I would give this book a 2.5 star rating! It was a pretty Quick and easy read!
This series! Daisy James never fails to entertain!!!
I love these books and am hoping for many more!!!
**OMG! I cannot believe that these reviews haven't been done! I am so sorry they are so late!!!**
The villa dominates the story with its idyllic setting, full of the Tuscan countryside. I enjoyed this opening book in a new series and found Izzy to be a likeable character with demons in her past which were a surprise. Her life is transported from a dull drabness to the vivid colours and scents of Italy. A heartwarming romcom with the promise of more to come. Great!
Thanks to Netgalley for a copy of the book.
Really enjoyed this novel. The writing flowed and the characters were depicted very well. Couldn't wait to find out what happens next.
An amazing story that I enjoyed reading.
Great characters that you cannot help but engage with and a brilliant plot.
A must read.
A lovely easy to read book which took you on a voyage to Tuscany. Great descriptions of the local area, the food and the culture. We met some great characters which I believe would all be the main character in their own book.
I thought this was a lovely read and I was so pleased to discover this is the first story in a new series.
"Wedding Bells at Villa Limoncello" was a great balance of romance and a poignant backstory that needed to be revealed. Daisy James' wonderful portrayal of the delightful setting certainly had the power to make me feel as if I was there, under the bright blue, cloudless sky, with the fragrance of lemons all around
This was super, quick and relaxing read with a variety of colourful characters and some entertaining snippets of romance. Highly recommended.
I received a complimentary digital copy of this novel, at my own request, from Canelo via NetGalley. This review is my own unbiased opinion.
A delightful story set in a Tuscan village. Isabella lives in London. She loses her high pressure job as an interior does she to corporate downsizing. While searching for a job, her best friend asks her to organize a wedding in Tuscany. The scenes described are breathtaking, the food described makes your mouth water, and the easy pace of life definitely makes one envious. Will she be able to pull off this wedding? How will her life change because of this experience? A delightful summer read.
A lovely read and a major bonus with the beautiful setting. I really felt I was there with the stunning descriptions of the area and food. How do I get to Villa Limoncello?! Emotional but at times, funny. It's the ideal summer read!
The biggest thing that made me smile about this book were the stunning descriptions of the Villa, the surrounding area and the food. Honestly, I could have jumped on a plane, found myself my own Villa Limoncello and stayed there forever. Daisy was spot on with everything. I adored the whole setting, it made my heart very happy.
Lemons are one of my absolute favourite things in the world, so for the villa to be named Villa Limoncello and for it to be surrounded by Lemons and a beautiful garden sounded like such perfection to me. Then like I said above, going to Italy and it being the height of Lemon season and seeing them everywhere we looked, just made me think of this book and smile. There is something so awe-inspiring about Lemons to me, maybe it's because they are a happy colour and remind me of childhood, or maybe it's because I could stare at them all day and still be none the wiser to how they manage to stay on the tree! In Italy they are huge and I honestly can't figure out how they stay there, looking so glorious, waiting to be picked at the perfect time.
This story was quite emotional for me, if I'm honest. I adored being in Italy and meeting the locals and taking it all in, but Izzie's story was quite a tough one for me to get into. At first I wondered why she couldn't just be happy and go to Italy and become this positive, grab life and go with it kind of person. I wanted that for her. I also tend to be like that with every character I read about, I enjoy happy stories and want everyone to be smiling all the time. However, I know that isn't always the case in life and for stories to be realistic, characters must go through heartbreak and challenging times. Some do get over it and find that their fears, worries or heartache was just a blip and something better has come a long and life has sorted itself out and that's always wonderful. Izzie's story was never going to be like that and as I learnt more about her and her life I one hundred percent understood the fragile state she was in and the fact that life was never going to be the same for her. Of course she could have happiness and appreciate where she was, but it was never going to be total sunshine and rainbows again. This got me good. I'm the kind of person whose heart breaks everyday for other peoples suffering and pain, I honestly wish I could take it all away. I realize that I'm getting a bit deep with this review, but if you read the book, I like to think you will understand why. It was a tough story to read, but one that made me stop and be so incredibly thankful for who I have in my life and to always appreciate that everyone could be going through struggles that have shaped who they are. Be kind to people always because they could be trying the best they can after what they have been through or are going through.
Wedding Bells at Villa Limoncello has heart, true friendship and love under a breathtaking Italian sky. Book two is out soon, so don't miss this first one!
Who wouldn’t love the chance to plan a wedding in a Tuscan villa? The perfect chance for someone feeling low to start adding splashes of colour back into their life. This is a perfect summer, beach read. It’s romantic and glorious, with mouth watering food descriptions (as well the gorgeous Italian men!) Daisy James has given us something so poignant yet with some comedy that will warm the coldest of hearts. The setting and writing is full of sunshine – I cannot wait to read the next!
I thought that this book was well written but the story was not as engaging as I would have liked.the plot was fairly predictable but it was a good beach read for a few hours.
A lovely lighthearted book for reading in the sunshine whether at home or on holiday.
A book which will put a smile on your face
Daisy James has done it again with another book that really transports you to the location, in this case Villa Limoncello in Tuscany, fills you with wonderful descriptions, and delicious sounding food.
And better still its the first book in a trilogy, so I have a feeling I will be reading book 2 very shortly, as I need more of the Villa Limoncello and all the lovely new friends that Isabelle makes in my life.
Isabella for the past few years has been living a grey and drab life, but she has good reason for it, and it takes for her getting sacked, and being co-erced into staging a wedding in a Tuscan Villa for her to start to come back to life.
Every chapter is headed with a location and also a colour which really does help give a feeling for just how vivid and bright life is in Italy, and Izzie starts to realise life isn't all about lists, even though they are needed if she has a hope of pulling off this wedding.
There are a few small mysteries in the book to add intrigue, I loved all the people that we meet, some gorgeous Italian men, and some mouth watering food descriptions.
This book has everything you could possibly want from a Daisy James rom-com, and its yet another incredibly enjoyable book by this wonderful author. Bring on the next book!
Thank you to Netgalley and Canelo for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
Nicely written. Easy to read and a good interesting plot. Lovely destination to play it all out what more could you possibly ask for
