A helpful book by an author who faced her own challenges. There's a wealth of information and ideas of things you an tweak to improve how you age, and for those that want it, a 21 day plan. Perfect.
This book was a pleasant surprise! It’s a shame the folks behind this book didn’t give it a better title. While some of the suggestions are aimed toward looking, feeling and even having tests show that you are younger than you are, there is a lot of useful information in this book for anyone regardless of their age.
The author, Janyey Goddard, had serious health issues and found that changing many of her lifestyle habits, changed her health completely. The book offers a goldmine of things to do to improve your life from a whole-foods diet to facial exercises to look younger. There is information for every stage of life. Goddard has also set up a website where you can continue to find ideas.
There are definitely lots of ideas in here worth trying.
This was a very informative read on natural ways to help your body. It was pretty overwhelming at first (how the heck can I do all this?!), but there is a 21 day plan to start. You can choose what you want to incorporate and see what helps you. (Just like everything else- what you can stick with is better for you in the long run!) It was interesting to read about how the author used these to help herself and has "decreased" her body's age by a lot!
I really enjoyed the natural techniques. The book had so much new information that I wasn't even aware of. Definitely an interesting read for those interested in natural wellness.
Great tips and advice. Love these kinds of books for scrolling through and dipping your toe into the things that suit, and the things that don't. Thanks for the opportunity to read and review. Will be recommending to others.
This book has a wealth of information, and just as I was thinking, ‘how do I possibly integrate all this into my day to day life? ‘, there is a 21 day plan to do just that. Jayney accepts that not all the advice is for everyone all at once, so breaks down the suggestions in a manageable way that builds over the suggested three weeks.
A really helpful book, which will act as a reference guide for me moving forward and rewinding backward!
I was fortunate to receive a complimentary digital copy of this book (through NetGalley) in return for an honest review.
There are some excellent points of connection here, ideals and insights that the reader can grab onto and weave into their daily wellness regimen. The author impressed multiple times with the ability to steer clear of exhausting cliché and bring us to stepping stones of true uniqueness. Worthy of a place on your bookshelf if you are a seeker or healer. If you can sort through the Day 1, Day 2, etc. format -- if that is not your style -- you'll find plenty of gems shining between the repetition. Author has a passion to help, and the book is well worthy your time. You'll highlight and keep insights as I did. Thank you to NetGalley for the complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed this one,
The book includes many real-life suggestions for how to change your lifestyle, without doing so too quickly or becoming overwhelming, in a way that will lead to better health. It focuses on the natural pillars of eating right, exercising, stressing less, sleeping well, and loving others. As this book is aimed at older folks, one thing it doesn't include - and something I'd like to see written about - is the exercise component for people who are handicapped. It's not as simple as even going for a walk....it would be nice to see someone develop a program for folks whose legs or arms may not work the way they used to, rather than just assuming that they should be up and walking and moving if they want better health.
