Kane is the second book in Jen Davis` Copper Construction series, and is essentially a second chance romance. Kane’s story has certain amount of action, drama and intensity, but it lacks the explosive element that was front and centre in book one. A decent story that starts out slow, but provides adequate background information and a good ending; it simply needed depth in the centre where I felt the story lagged. I liked the characters and the overall plot, and will definitely read the next in the series.
Wow I could not put this down. I had read Brick and had to read the next. I wish I could give this a higher rating!! Please give me more!!!
KANE by Jen Davis is an intense MC story with a second chance romance. I read this story straight to the end in one day. I couldn't put it down! This story absolutely has it all! Love, family, betrayal, friendship, murder, action, you name it! Heart stopping intense scenes and a love that 13 years apart couldn't end. A five 🌟 read for sure!

This is the second book I have read from this author and I kind of feel like I did with the first book in the series.
Kane starts off a bit on the slower side, but there is a decent amount of action and drama and the ending is really good. It's just getting to the mid point of the book that could maybe use some better execution.
This was a second chance romance with lots of drama thrown in. It alternated between the past and the present throughout the book. Overall, I enjoyed the characters and the ending, but struggled somewhat with the beginning of the story.
Good book. Great story. While at times I felt like I really missed the back of this story it came together completely by the end.
When forced to leave each other thirteen years earlier Kane and Amanda have to coexist in a world built for men, by men and be able to work at the same place. It doesn't matter what happened in the past at this point what matters is the here and now and when one of them is in danger the other is there to help. The question is will it carry them over the pain in the past or are they lost to each other now that they are different people?
I believe it is beneficial to read Brick, the first book in this series, before reading Kane. Kane starts out right where Brick leaves off, just with Kane and Amanda now as the couple. I was appreciative that Kane, wasn't as gory as Brick. I felt the balance was just right.
