I received a brief sneak peek at this through Netgalley, and all it did was tickle my appetite for more. From the first songbird of summer to Earl trying to convince Mooch to join him in the pool. Earl might consider it, but his tail is not having it.
I'm ready for the rest of the book now.
Thank you NetGalley, the publisher and author for the opportunity to read this sample.
I really enjoyed it, I laugh out loud more than reading any other book. I really don't know how to review this comic/graphic novel, because is the first one I'll be reviewing, but I really like it, the writing style is easy to read, is a book anyone, no matter the age range can read. Is something light and funny for when you want to read but don't want to rea anything long or hard or that makes you think. I would LOVE to read the whole book, but I'll have to wait for when it comes out! Can't wait to read more about Mooch and Foo, loved them!
All I received was a brief sampler of this book, yet it made me smile.
I especially enjoyed it at this time of year when temperatures are struggling to reach double digits above zero, not even to a freezing position.
Every morning I look forward to reading Patrick McDonnell's comic strip featuring Mooch and Earl. Generally the mood to be found is sweet, funny and clever.
The Mutts Summer Diaries is the latest compilation to feature these human-like pets. Give this latest volume a try if you enjoy a good natured take on the world around us.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this read in return for an unbiased review.
I was sad to see this was just a sampler. I really loved what i read what I read. It was so cute cute to see teh animals respond to the heat. They exemplify what i feel like living in Alabama.
I really enjoy reading this comic strip! Anyone who owns a cat or dog can relate to these comics. They are really cute and funny. The drawings are done very well with detail, too!
This was cute, but not particularly laugh out loud funny. A small collection of comic strips about two dogs adjusting to the heat of summer.
This looks perfectly serviceable and entertaining, as usual, although I object to being given tiny samplers that aren't even advertised as such, when the purpose is to critique full volumes.
Many of the comic strips included in this sampler were cute, but some didn't have any life or zing to it. I loved Mooch, but didn't get to see enough to really fall in love.
I must be reading something different from everyone else as there are so many positive reviews for this book. The drawings are below par, it's not cute or funny in the slightest. Terrible.
I didn't know this comics until finding the book around, but it was a very nice and fun read. With the comics following the cat and dog around, a nice line of art and humor all around, it was a fast and enjoyable read!
I would like to thank Netgalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the chance of reading this ARC in exchange of a honest review!
Such a cute book! I have many reluctant writers in my classroom. This book will be a great help in inspiring them to write their own comics. I’ve always enjoyed this cartoon, I’m excited to share this book with my students!
A collection of comics featuring a cat and a dog and their summer adventures (or misadventures).
I just got a sampler of this book from NetGalley and the publisher (only 22 pages out of the 176 pages). I’ll read the rest once the book comes in for our library (we have many Mutts fans who will be eager to eat this up). For this book they’ve selected a variety of Mutts comics that feature summer adventures, woes about heat, ice cream deliciousness, etc. Some of the comics make you smile, some make you shake your head, and some will make you laugh out loud. It’s a great all ages comic safe for any age reader looking for a little fun reading that’s especially good for animal lovers.
No content issues.
I received an ARC of this title from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Andrews McMeel Publishing through Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I have never read The Mutts comics before, but I really enjoyed reading this book. Reading this book makes me want Summer to go ahead and get here already. I can’t wait to read more of The Mutts comic series!
Cute sampler! The strips were funny and a great way to remember the summer days during this winter. Ideal for pet lovers.
I was interested in this book as I'm looking for some more graphic novel-type books for my son and this one looked cute. It's just a sampler, but it was fun and kid-friendly. I can see both boys and girls enjoying this, especially when it's presented to them during the summer or right when school ends. I will definitely be looking into this author's other works to purchase for my kids.
Lovely and sweet. I love the Mutts and this was very enjoyable.
Highly recommended!
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC
This is absolutely adorable. I have always loved Mutts! This was a super cute little read and I will be purchasing it for my mother, who also loves the Mutts comic strips. Thanks for the sneak peek, I loved it!
Thanks for the sampler.
This is such an adorable comic book.
Highly recommended for all dog lovers.
This is a 22 page sampler and as adorable and fun as the daily comics. This sample is as the title suggests related to summer and a couple had me laugh out loud. Definitely a fun read fit anyone who needs a break from real life. Thank you # netgalley the sample and Patrick McDonnell and Mutts for the laughs.
