An enjoyable adventure for pre-teen readers with a strong female lead and plenty of humour. The characters are delightful and the action fast-paced.
This is the second book in the Zita the Spacegirl series, and it's really cute.
Zita jumps from danger to danger, but keeps up her positive attitude. She does get some chances to really take a look at what she was doing, and the people she may have hurt in this during a trial.
Really cute book!
Hatke's drawing style for Zita was what captured my eye in Zita the Spacegirl, and I'm thrilled to see she's returned in Legends, With the same soft, rounded edges that is inviting and soothing, we learn that Zita is trying to return to earth, only....trouble ensues with a robot imitates, or steals, identities, including hers! A wonderful adventure ensues, added to in tenfold with Hatke's brilliant art. Readers will be fighting for this one, for sure.
Zita the Spacegirl was a Texas Bluebonnet book, and it was much revered by kids who read it. It was beautifully illustrated with a charming story and girl protagonist. Great addition to any kids/teen library or for gifts for kids who enjoy Sci-Fi.
A fun space adventure. Zita and her friend Joseph get sucked into a dimensional portal and are soon separated. The aliens want Joseph to be their savior and destroy the asteroid, and all Zita wants to do is save him and get home. This was a fun adventure, and I am happy there are 2 more.
