I really like this book it was pretty good easy read definitely recommend
The book grabbed me from the the beginning to the end
So far I have loved all the misadventure books
A book boyfriend is what every woman wants right? Oliver was definitely down on his luck and needed a steady income. After hearing all about how a book boyfriend would make everything better he immediately set out on his quest. Definitely a twist in the modern day Romeo.
The read started off strong with a likable hero and a fascinating premise. The business plan for a book boyfriend dating service was appealing! Things fell apart once the hero fell for his very first date. I didn’t care for the heroine at all, especially near the end of the read. I hated seeing the hero put his sexual attraction to a stranger before his friendship with his roommate/ best friend. The friendship between Skye and Oliver was my favorite component of the story! So much fell apart during this read that just made me roll my eyes. I was glad that the ending of the story somewhat redeemed my feelings towards Bailey and how she was stringing along numerous characters. The whole infidelity thing didn’t bother me as much as I thought it would, but the rushed relationship between O and B was very unlikely.
All in all, it was a 3 star decent story with tons of drama and heat.
I have mixed feelings about this particular misadventure. This was my first book by Victoria Blue and I liked it enough to want to read another Misadventure from her should that come about. This is the first Misadventures book that I've read (thus far) that was told solely from the male character's first person POV. I have to admit that I did quite enjoy that (especially as I half read, half listened to the book). I will issue a slight trigger warning for those that are sensitive to cheating as that is sort of a major plot point. I'll admit that I went into the book blind and the plot didn't play out at all as I expected; I thought that perhaps a famous book cover model was embarking on a relationship with a woman that was a superfan of one of the books that he was on. Instead, we have Oliver, a male supermodel that decides to create a "Book Boyfriend" themed escort service in the face of his declining career and dwindling bank account. Of course he finds more than he bargained for with one of his clients, but that's where the story veered into very unique territory. I won't reveal any other plot points (#nospoilers), just know that the book was more than meets the eye. 3 out of 5 wine glasses.
This was a new to me author however, I have read most of the Misadventures books. Let me tell you this author did not disappoint and I absolutely loved this story. I love the idea of the book boyfriend and Oliver is just so easy to fall in love with as a character. Looking forward to reading more stories from this author.
I absolutely loved this book.
Victoria did such a good job, and her characters were so well written. I found myself struggling to put this one down and not getting nearly as much sleep as I need to be a coherent person during the day haha.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A 5 star read for sure for me ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I have chosen not to read and review this title. My apologies for the delay in responding regarding this title.
As always, I appreciate the opportunity to read early copies of your titles.
Thank, you,

DNF at 24%.
I tried, I really tried but this book is simply a big fat "NO" for me.
I just couldn't relate to the somewhat "ludicrous" storyline and Oliver the hero- was not only an oddity to me but I also found him simply uninteresting, shallow and unsexy so sadly it's time for me to throw in the towel.
This is my first read by author Victoria Blue but it is not my first book in the "Misadventures" series, unfortunately it is the first one that I haven't enjoyed. Oh well, that is life!!!

Misadventures with a Book Boyfriend was just not my cup of tea. I struggled to get into the story and just couldn't love the characters. So many other people loved the story so please don't base your decision on this review, it just simply wasn't for me.
This was my first time reading a book by Victoria Blue. I enjoyed the storyline and the interesting twists the storyline takes. I also liked reading this story from the POV of the male hero in the story. Oliver Connelly, gorgeous male model, finds himself without work and all of his worst fears coming true. Is he washed up? Is he only a pretty face? Are his family’s predictions about him and his line of work actually true? When he meets some women from his condo complex, he gets a brilliant business idea, Book Boyfriend Inc. Everything is going great. Except he meets the woman of his dreams, Bailey and his bestie, Skye, is not on board with this new company. There are two heroines in this book and a third female secondary character. Bailey is the woman of Oliver’s dreams. She decides to sign up for a date with a book boyfriend. She’s been in a loveless relationship for years with a man who is not a good person. Skye has been Oliver’s best friend for many years and his roommate. She and Bailey also work together in city government. The story heats up when Oliver falls in love with Bailey and Skye believes Oliver has betrayed her. It such an interesting story and the fact that it is told from Oliver’s POV makes it different. I recommend it.
Bailey and Oliver are not your typical everyday couple. Oliver is a model that is currently unemployed and living with his best friend. After a very lazy afternoon by the pool, eavesdropping on several of his female neighbors, Oliver hatches a plan to make some money by being your go to book boyfriend when a little romance is needed. If something happens after the initial date, who is Oliver to turn down that additional affections. This is how Oliver is first introduced to Bailey and the woman he now dreams of. Bailey is looking for some spice in her life, even if that needs to be discreet, as she is the wife of a prominent public figure. Bailey reaches out to Oliver's newly founded company, Book Boyfriend Inc. for a date and romance. Little does she know that this will lead to dating Oliver and having to do it behind closed doors, for more than one reason. This is a must read that will have you wishing you could make your very own book boyfriend become apart of your fantasies.
This is a nice, fluffy read with plenty of tension and sexy moments and heart. Exactly what the doctor ordered to clear up a dry spell of not being able to get any reading done! Oliver's career as a model was drying up and he was nearly broke. Upon eavesdropping on some ladies, he struck upon a plan that is both desperate and genius - why not play the role of a desirable book character taking lonely, unfulfilled women out on dates?
While the idea took off, Oliver proceeds to get wrapped up with his first client Bailey, creating a rift between him and his best friend Skye. Turned out that both Bailey and Skye were vying for political positions. That drama played out mostly in the background while Oliver's Book Boyfriend business found success with the help of his neighbour Janine.
Everything finished off tidily but that didn't detract from the enjoyment of getting there. This is a fairly quick read.

Oliver’s career is suffering so is his money situation and his best friend and roommate Skye is paying his share of the rent again because his modeling gig didn’t pan out. When Oliver overhears some women at the pool talking about their book boyfriend he decides that he can do that so when the money adds up quickly he is so excited. When he meets a client he is floored and even though he isn’t supposed to get attached he can’t help it but his best friend and his attraction want him to decide whose side he is on, takes this story in a different direction than you ever saw coming. Lots of conflicts between the characters and Oliver’s sweetness made it a perfect story.
I am really enjoying these books from the misadventure books. This is a new to me author and after reading Misadventures with a Book Boyfriend I will be reading more of her work. This book made me smile and gave me all the feels. I loved the idea of the book and the way the story played out. I really enjoyed this book and will be reading more work from this author.
I actually really didn't like this story overall but let me get into it.
This story is about Oliver who is a model and his jobs are slowing down so he is looking for another way to make some cash. Oliver gets an idea when he is hanging out by the pool and meets some of the ladies from his apartment complex..
The idea is for a book boyfriend service. Oliver will show up and act like a man from some of the most swoon worthy romances. On his first date Oliver meets Bailey who he has an immediate attraction and connection too.
But Bailey comes with some complications and Oliver and the relationship must overcome those obstacles.
I think the main reason why I didn't like this story is because I don't ship this pairing. It wasn't convincing for me.
I was shipping Oliver with another character and some of the things he said about this character I just couldn't get behind. Plus there were so many secrets, not so many but there was stuff that we as readers don't know and I just felt like it could have been done better.
Misadventures with a Book Boyfriend by Victoria Blue was a good read. The characters were great and the story was heading in a promising direction, but I felt somewhat disappointed in the end. The book didn't go where I thought it was headed, which isn't a bad thing, but I think my issue was the feeling that there wasn't really all that much of a "misadventure." If this book was not a part of the misadventure series I think I would have rated it higher.
Oliver Connely has gone from being a household name to a washed out model all by the age of twenty-seven. After a chance encounter with a group of women, he finds himself embarking on a new venture. Book Boyfriend Incorporated is born. Placing an online ad Oliver will meet lonely women and become the book boyfriend they always fantasised about.
Things don't exactly go to plan when he finds himself falling for one of his clients. Bailey Hardin is married to a politician and things only go from bad to worse when her husband is murdered and Oliver finds himself having to choose between his best friend and the woman he loves.
I hate infidelity in a book, it's an instant turn off for me if it is one of the main characters and while the couple in this book is a little different Bailey is still a married woman when she meets Oliver. There is just too much going on for so short a book, between setting up an escort business, to murder and politics. While I admire a book featuring an older woman/younger man this book had too many issues to redeem itself. This book was a miss for me. there are far better books out there and I strongly advise readers to find something else.
I received an arc of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Love it! Sexy ... Funny... Entertaining!
The characters were great, the dialogue fabulous . One of my top Misadventures books.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a little bit sweeter than I would've liked, but it was well written, and the plot was executed a lot better than the last Misadventures I'd read. Not memorable, but not bad.
