YA is not my favorite genre and this book is not that bad. But, for me, this story didn't have chemistry, I don't feel connections between characters and I am so sorry to tell but most of the time I feel bored. This book is definitely not my cup of tea and 3 stars are my ratings. Thank you, Net Galley, and Sourcebooks Casablanca for this opportunity.

I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
Thank you NetGalley!!
I think maybe if i was a tad younger, this book would have been more of a hit for me. they had horrible communication issues, she seemed immature and unappreicative at times... and it just fell flat overall.

I'm dissappointed. Having met Cam and Kara in Chasing Red and having been so curious about what happened between them, I thought I'd get answer in this book but NOPE.
This book is their beginning, how they met, got along, got to 'dating' but it had nothing to do with what happened between them in Chasing/Always Red, it was all from before and it was extremely disappointing for me. This book should have been written in present/past chapters, that would have been way better for us as readers who had been waiting for answers, picked up this book for those answers and got zilch, nothing, nada.
And what's even worse is that their beginning wasn't even all that great. Cameron is so hot and cold all the time, and I get why but he didn't have to be so undecisive, it pissed me off. And Kara, she's starts off has a strong female, an actual spitfire but then she falls for Cam without even knowing him, in like a week and that is just so unrealistic. She loses some of her badassery and just seems a little weak and naive. I didn't like that at all. Insta love books need to have a certain care in the way they are written, and for me this one just didn't fully work.
I loved Cam and Kara in Caleb and Red's book but I am extremely disappointed with them here, I was expecting so much more. And I honestly don't know how they go from the point where they ended in this book to how they were in Chasing Red, I'm still so curious and I need the answers I was seeking. That is basically the only reason I will punk up Reckless in Love when it comes out.
That being said, I really was expecting more, the character development was lacking, and their love was just too sudden but I did enjoy Cam's troubled past and I'm curious to know how all that will relate to his mother and the problem she poses in his life. Yeah, if you're expecting Cam and Kara's story to be on the same level as Caleb and Red, lower your expectations. I don't want you to be disappointed like me.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for letting me read this book.
If I was younger I would probably appreciate this book more. Kara and her intense reactions in seemingly normal conversations started to grate on me and I found it difficult to relate to her. Although when she was with her father she was quite different. I can see why this angsty book had a lot of followers. Wonder what the author will do next with this pair.

I enjoy Kara and Cam love story. They have instant fireworks when met. Cameron knows she is important but don't understand the new feelings. Kara knows he is the one, she feel what she always imagine love will be. Bet they can't control the strong chemistry and the sparks that ignited inside them when are near each other.
I LOVE reading this book and recommend it.

Kara doesn't have time for boys. She is working as much as she can to help her dad. They are not poor but their economical situation could be better. And she is at college, too.
One day, her brother hits a motorbike and runs away. So, to save him from having problems with the insurance company, she makes an offer to the owner of the motorbike. She will fix it and she will drive him around while the bike is being fixed.
Easy, right? well,... no. Because the owner of the bike is Cameron. He is hot and intriguing. And he is attracted to her. Could Kara resist him?
The story is ok. Although it's a little bit slow at the beginning. And I would have loved to know how the story goes on...

I found the blurb for this book quite interesting, but after trying to get into it several times, I had to abandon it -- just not my cup of tea. Hopefully I'm in the minority. I received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

I really enjoyed the electrifying battle of wills between Cam and Kara and the odd laugh out loud moments in this book. Both characters are independent and very abrupt. They don’t suffer fools gladly.
From the beginning, their tempers and the passion they have for each other flared. Misunderstandings abound and there is not much communication between the two besides the heated fights. Although this may be a deterrent for some, I believe the avoidance and the miscommunications are true to both characters. They do not trust easily and have a hard time showing emotion.
With that being said, however, I found the pace eventually lagged. Their miscommunications and sparring lasted at least three-quarters of the book.
The last quarter was left for the unravelling of secrets and the opening of their minds and hearts to each other. Although well executed, it felt rushed. The ending itself feels unfinished because of this.
There was so much build up when it came to his mom as well and it seems that thread just died. Almost like it was not part of the plot line when it seemed that she should’ve been. I was disappointed that there was no follow through on this and the fact that there was no epilogue.

The story of Kara and Cam. Both still at college, each of them having had time out of school for their own reasons. Both are keeping secrets so will they let each other in?

Spitfire in Love was just not the book for me.
Two main characters have horrible communication for 90% of the book and not in an endearing way.
Cameron is the typical bull-headed and super strong male lead character in so many of these books. While Kara is a spitfire who is constantly getting lost in his looks.
This type of dynamic just didn't work for me.
I truly did like Kara as a character when she wasn't around Cameron. She was a strong young woman who is doing her best to help her dad provide for his family while getting her education. Something seems to happen to her when she's around Cameron though that turns her into another person that I didn't particularly care for.
Cameron, in the beginning, had so much promise to be a character I would like. Yet Ronin took him down the stereotypical male lead character in so many new adult books that it's just not attractive in the slightest.

This is Kara and cam’s book, Kara never backs down when it comes to protecting her family her and her family on an auto repair shop, her brother accidentally hits somebody’s motorcycle and leaves the scene of the accident. Cameron comes out to find his motorcycle in bad shape, this feisty woman shows up on his doorstep and inadvertently admits that her brother hit cams motorcycle she talks him into bringing his motorcycle to her families shop. These two have crazy off the charts chemistry but they definitely butt heads a lot. This book I don’t know seemed a little immature and a little choppy reading it was OK but definitely not one of my favorites. Thank you net galley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

Instant love~ woah-oh! Instant love~ If that didn't give it away, that pretty much sums up this entire series. “Spitfire In Love” was an emotional journey I was not really to partake in and the constant battle between the leads became too repetitive and redundant. It wasn't a bad read to be completely honest. I did enjoy Kara spitfire attitude and could understand why Cam found that so refreshing and attraction. It's just the on going love-hate back and forth between them got tiring after a while. Overall, not a bad read and would be a great series for a reader that is looking for a Young Adult series.

I apologize but after a few chapters, I realized the writing style and storyline of this title were not for me. This title might be more appropriate for a younger audience. I felt it lacked the depth, flow and description that I prefer in a romance book. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to read this story. This is in no way a proper review because I did not complete this title. I look forward to the privilege of reading and reviewing other titles in the future that would better suit the style that I enjoy.
