A family drama that slowly unfolds by combining present day with events from the past that played out inside 46Heath Street. It is an enjoyable story that kept my interest throughout. I look forward to reading more books by this author.
This one is a quick, easy and totally engrossing read, if a little predictable. Even though I guessed what was going to happen it did not spoil my enjoyment at all. I can recommend this totally to anyone who enjoys a good psychological thriller.
This book is an engrossing read.
There are edge of your seat scary moments and I just wanted to keep reading to find out what happened next.
A great psychological thriller but it was a little predictable
I don't think I'd really classify this as a psychological thriller. More like psychological drama as there was tension but nothing really intense and the twists were seen from a mile away. The writing was good and I did enjoy Nancy's diary entries; they really helped boost my thoughts. I couldn't really get behind Ella, she was very "woe is me" which doesn't make for a good MC and that really dragged the story for me.
A greta psychological thriller, perfect for those who love this genre and those new to it as a first read as it's both twisty turny and easy to read and will keep you gripped the whole way through!
thank you for allowing me to read this book. it was very easy to read. i enjoyed the story line and the characters. look forward to reading more from this author.
A very interesting read. Keeping you on the edge of your seat. Wondering which way it’s going to go. Twists and turns. Easy to read and enjoyable

I am reviewing a copy of The Woman at 46th Heath Street and Bookoture and Netgalley:
A letter, the last letter is addressed to her, written in neat block letters are the words “Your husband is having an affair.”
Six words slipped through her letter box not only destroys her marriage but it also shows that Ella’s perfect life is actually perfect lies.
Ella has a plan though. The answer is a lodger by the name of Alice but Alice has her own reasons for wanting to live at 46th Heath Street!
I found The Woman at 46th Street to be a powerful, gripping read, one that is full of mystery and suspense.
I give The Woman at the 46th Heath Street!
Four out of five stars!
I was given a copy of The Woman at 46 Heath Street by the publisher for an honest review.
The book is set in 2018 but goes back in time with diary entries. The main character is Ella. Ella has a note delivered saying her husband is having an affair. After her husband moves out she moves a friend called Alice in. Ella must try to work out who she can trust. A good psychological thriller.
Lesley Sanderson is a new author for me and I found her writing style so fluent and honest. The characters she created were 100% plausible and storyline believable.
The story is based on the history of 46 Heath Street and the generations of family who have lived there. Tales of suffering, betrayal, loss, domestic and mental abuse, abandonment alongside abiding love, tolerance and friendships culminating in an emotional journey with the characters.
Enjoyed the reading of this book and look forward to reading more of her work.
The story is well written and well paced. I was sucked in from the start and finished the book in one day. The plot differs in this novel from that of other psychological thrillers. I can't quite find the words to explain it. This book focuses on a married couple, but the husband just sort of pops up throughout. It's more of a love between the wife and the house at 46th Heath Street, the secrets it holds, and the unraveling of those secrets.
I enjoyed the diary entries from Nancy, the husband's mother, quite a lot. It added depth to the story. Alice was sort of an odd character for me. She has a place in the sory, but her character was lacking.
The ending was disappointing. After all the build up and happenings throughout the book, the ending is really sudden and left me with questions and without closure.
All in all I enjoyed this book except for the ending. But,, I would still definitely recommend it.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for this advanced reader copy of thisbook in exchange for an honest review.
Interesting and suspenseful, I found this much more gripping than I had really expected. It wasn’t as dark as most psychological thrillers I read, but it was equally as enjoyable.
Compelling, good characterisation and very well written, the author made you feel like you really knew the characters of Ella and Alice.
Thoroughly absorbing readd which had me engrossed from start to finish. Looking forward to reading more of Lesley Sanderson's books..
I read this book really quickly . It was a book that gripped from the start. A house , a marriage falling apart and Alice who seems to come on the scene at the right time . Definitely read more from this author
The story is well written and plotted but it was a chore for me to get through.
I didn’t like Ella. She just seemed too naive, sheltered and needy. Her constant inner monologue about the house and dead mother in law grated on me. Chris was despicable, what a coward. And Alice was a twist that you could see coming from a mile away. I would have bolted from that house and kept on running! Each last one of them should have, the reason to keep the house be damned.
Nancy and her diary entries were the saving grace in this story. I would have rather read that story fleshed out.
I read and enjoyed The Orchid Girls but this one wasn’t really my cup of tea. I would check out the next one by this author and recommend you try this yourself as everyone’s taste is different.
Thanks to NetGalley, the author and Bookouture for a copy in exchange for a review.
Intriguing book and not one that I can remember having a story like this. I did enjoy the book and thought the characters were strong
I really enjoyed this psychological thriller. It was very well written with awesome character development., some you felt total empathy for and others were easy to despise. Lots of dark twists and turns. I could not put this one down.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read the advanced copy of this book for an honest review.
When you thought you know what is happening it twists again so I can say I really enjoyed this read. It's one of those books that you can't put down you just want to keep reading.
I would be heartbroken if I received an anonymous letter stating my husband is having an affair, it’s every husband/wife’s worst nightmare, and this is what happens to Ella, it leaves self doubt is her husband having an affair and who sent the letter his lover?? Ella and her husband decide to rent one of their rooms out to a lodger named Alice who seems charming and lovely but has her own agenda to why she wants to live at 46 Heath Street.
A fantastic and thrilling read I really enjoyed it.
