I like to read this kind of contemporary romance.
Even the base of the story is maybe déjà vu, it didn't bothered me at all because I liked the characters and the authors way of telling theirs story. I was glued to my kindle all the way to the end rooting for their happy end. Totally entertaining and interesting to read. Since it is first of the instalment, I will definitely read the others in the series too.
It was one little slip up. A night filled with friends and laughter. Rounds of drinks and the temptation to strong to ignore. Waking up the next morning is a different story and has changed everything. Will one night change his world for the better or will he regret the decision he made? Great story and it definitely worked out for Mac and Kelley.
I loved this story. This was the first book I have read of Dana Mason and it definitely will not be the last. I am excited to read the other books in this series.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.
After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.
I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.
Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.
Accidental Groom by Dana Mason pulled me in immediately.
Mac and Kelley have a meet cute and they also had great chemistry and fun banter.
Dana Mason is a new to me author and I was thoroughly impressed with this book. From the sizzling chemistry, the yummy moments and the fun sprinkles of humor, everything just flowed. I was team Mac and Kelly the whole time :D
Mac Thomas is a sexy host of a radio show that is at leastly partly centred around his commitment issues and playboy status. Oh, yes, he is very popular with ladies, although he is always upfront about not wanting a relationship. Mac is also a recovering alcoholic.
Mac sees Kelley sitting at a bus stop, crying, clealry distressed about something. In fact, Mac doesn't know this, but Kelley has just found her best friend/flatmate in bed with Kelley's ex-boyfriend. Not only does Kelley feel betrayed by her friend of many years, but also she has to move out because Megan allows the sleezy ex move in.
Kelley is difficult to forget, so the next time Mac sees her, he strikes a conversation and invites Kelley for a lunch out. Things progress quickly and Mac invites her to spend a weekend away at a comedy festival. Kelley isn't aware of his issues with alcohol, so she doesn't try to stop him when he breaks his sobriety. In the morning Mac wakes up in bed with Kelley and a new and shiny wedding bands on left hand. What do you do when you find yourself accidentally married?
The plot may be a bit predictable, but it doesn't take away from its entertainment value. The pace is fast, and there is a good balance between hot and sizzling scenes and the discovery of the protagonists' past coupled with the development of trust and other feelings for each other. Of course, they have known one another for a ridiculously short time, while the issues they have to deal with are pretty heavy....I found the last chapter, set in one year time, a more realistic timeframe, and I found the ending sweet and satisfying.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the review copy provided in exchange for an honest opinion.
I don’t often read this kind of books. ‘Why?’you might ask. Well, the reason is quite simple. I like a strong story where the sex scenes add something and not pages filled with bedroom activities only.
OMG! I was so pleased with this one. I loved all the strong raw emotions. The amount of sex was just perfect. I was very happy to see they acted like normal people and not a bunch of rabbits. 😉
Okay, who doesn't love a good 'I woke up like this' rom-com? In Beyonce's name, amen. Mason's 'Accidental Groom' is funny, sweet, and a sizzler. You'll have your fingers crossed for these two crazy kids from the get go. Don't worry, Mac won't be a Mac Daddy but prepare for a wild ride.
Accidental Groom is a sweet love story with plenty of steam. It also has a lot more depth that you might think from the title and the cover. There is a very deep and emotional subplot of loss and grief, addiction, and recovery. I think the topics were handled well and seemed authentic to the characters. And it had a fulfilling conclusion.
Wasn’t real sure how I was going to like the book Accidental Groom by Dana Mason, but was pleasantly surprised while reading it. We start out by meeting Mac and he spies a young lady crying her heart out. He wonders what’s going on but doesn’t get to do anything about it. Jump to one week later and lo and behold, there she is again! This time they strike up a conversation and as they say the rest is wine and roses…not!
Mac and Kelley do have a relationship but is it believable? Somewhat, but all good stories have a good ending and that is what happens after much ups and downs, and sometimes sideways with their relationship. Kelley was a little immature, but Mac had those moments too. Was it a good read? Yes. Will I read another by this author? Probably. I would recommend this book.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an ARC and leave an honest review.

This book was just okay for me. I liked the premise: bad boy/playboy/jock meets girl and gets married without her knowing his other persona. Unfortunately I found the characters to be incredibly immature, especially Kelley. While she was a college student, the author wrote her as an older student who went back to school following a tragedy in her dance career. However, she was portrayed as a typical college student - with little responsibility. I'm not a fan of new adult stories, which is probably why I didn't really enjoy this story line.
** ARC received from Netgalley **
The main problem I had with this book is that everything happened too fast. The pace of the writing, the story itself, it made the story feel rushed. I wanted to know more, there were more words than actions.
I mean they basically met and yet they’re planning a trip together. Already?
I feel like the book was meant to be a normal looking novel but the instalove between main characters kind of ruined it for me.
I didn’t feel connected to the characters at all, the first 20 % I even thought of DNF-ing this book. I wasn’t invested in the story, I read through pages without feeling anything. I could have DNF it and I wouldn’t feel absolutely no regret.
I also found one inconsistency: sometimes they said that they know each other for weeks, sometimes even days. I got the feeling that all story happened in maybe a week time, which is for me way too soon.
3 ”meh” stars.
The drunk, accidental marriage trope can be tough to pull off but Ms. Mason does a beautiful job of rendering compelling, likeable characters. I really enjoyed this book and read it in a single afternoon. Highly recommend.
Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.
A very pleasant emotional romantic story, about life, love, traumatic experiences and coming through them to find enduring love, with a happy ever after ending.

I am a sucker for the drunk and end up married troupe, and I figured this would be a good read. It ended up being that, and much more! Yes, we have the typical player trying to reform and then finding the woman to make him want to stop all his womanizing ways. These characters were likeable and relatable. They have substantial flaws-ones any everyday person may experience and have to learn to live with. This story was rather straightforward and that's why I enjoyed it so much.
Kelley and Mac have a killer connection they both doubted. Neither believed something like that would happen to them. There is a lot of soul searching and reveals throughout. The exposed vulnerability taking its toll. Its what the other does with that vulnerability is the key.
I liked this story and how they endured their growing pains. The ending was predictable, but getting there was anything but. I would not hesitate to recommend this book!
Really enjoyed this cute story. Nothing over exciting but it kept my interest. I liked the characters. I liked the similarities between them but they were not aware of them since they only knew each other such a short time. I can recommend.
This is the kind of book that could go wrong if it had the chance too, but it didn't. I kept waiting for it to fall flat and it didn't. Guy meets girl, guy marries girl after waking up in Las Vegas drunk...It could have totally been a disaster but it wasn't. It was completely refreshing. I would definitely read again.
Kelley is having a bad day when Mac first sees her crying outside of Starbucks. There's something about her that he can't quite forget. Mac engineers meeting her and the two start developing a relationship. Mac is grateful that Kelley doesn't listen to his show to see the sterotype that is his on air personality. Not to say that Mac doesn't have commitment issues. Kelley has her own demons in the past that she is working hard to overcome.
Really good character development and interaction between Mac and Kelley. Kelley comes across as a little immature and continually runs aways from things. Mac is self-aware to a point, but like any good commitment-phobe alpha guy, struggles with accepting his attraction and desire to stick with Kelley.
Overall really enjoyed this book watching Mac and Kelley move past their pasts together. It's definitely a HEA and you get the sense that the relationship really develops over time.
My first book by Dana Mason. I'll definitely be looking out for the next book in this series as well as picking up some of Mason's other works.
Thanks to NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.
Mac and Kelley
I absolutely loved this one!
We meet Mac in line getting coffee when he sees Kelley crying outside at a bus stop. He doesn't know her, but he feels drawn to her. A week later, he sees her inside the coffee shop. He RUNS to get a table next to her and strikes up a conversation. One things leads to another and he invites her to go Reno with him for the weekend.
And then they wake up married!
Without ruining anything, these two have to figure out if they want to remain married and if they do, how will they make it work. They have only known each other for 24 hours!
Yikes!
This is a new to me author and I am so glad I gave her a chance to wow me with her story.
I highly recommend this one.
I loved this story! Mac is the perfect odd mix of confidence and insecurity. There were times I was so frustrated with Kelley. Their relationship starts off a bit farfetched, but their journey is real and engaging to follow. This book gives the reader a lot of feels. There is steamy romance along with real love building. This was my first read by this author and it definitely will not be my last.
