Aubrey and Grant’s marriage fell apart almost two years ago after the heartbreak of a miscarriage they couldn’t grieve through together.

Still in love with his wife Grant offers to drive her home for thanksgiving and pretend they’re still together for the benefit of her grandma.

The road trip from Chicago to Boston opens everything up: they desire still between, the pain, the hurt, the love. Aubrey knows she can have a second chance but she needs to do the one thing she’s been taught not to—open herself up to someone else.

This one had my eyes leaking. Beautifully written second chance story. Fantastic ending to the trilogy.

Having read the first two book in this series, I was anxiously awaiting Aubrey and Grant's story. While this story can definitely be read as a stand alone novel, I recommend reading the series in order just to get a feel for Aubrey and Grant who are part of a tight group of friends that attended law school together. Despite being a tight group of friends, no one knew the story of why Aubrey and Grant, the golden couple, had divorced. This was definitely an emotional read as we found out just what led to the breakup and the lengths that Grant was willing to go to reclaim their love. The epilogue at the end was a terrific way to wrap up the series, almost like a bonus as we see all of the couples a few years down the road!

Then Came You
by Kate Meader

Grab a box of tissues, you’ll need it for this book. It’s a beautiful story of forgiveness and redemption. Aubrey and Grant both have their work cut out for them if they think they can heal enough to either get back together or to be able to move on to new relationships. As both are lawyers, they need to figure out how to each plead their cases to the other.

I was impressed with the dialogue between the main characters but also the love they were holding on to yet for each other. They both maintained fidelity during their divorced time period.
Kate Meader did a wonderful job of detailing each characters personalities. I would recommend this book to everyone, there’s a lot of good advice for handling this subject matter, but also a true love story.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

None of their closest friends even know, much less understand why Grant and Aubrey divorced, but it’s clear two years later that these two still have feelings for one another.

I can easily say I loved Grant. Raised by a single mom, his Southern charm and gentlemanly behavior fit right in with his White Knight syndrome! And he was an emotional guy, all but wearing his feeling for everyone to see. He was cute, sweet, but finally reached his emotional limits with Aubrey. I can’t say I blame the guy either. They say it takes two to tango, but with an unwilling partner, obviously you won’t get very far...

Now Aubrey. So her family definitely didn’t incite the warm fuzzies, except for her Grandmother who was a spunky little thing! It was Aubrey’s cold shoulder and unwillingness to meet Grant even halfway to deal with their loss that drove me nuts. It was an effective role reversal, because I was in Grant’s court the entire way, literally wishing Aubrey would crack the shell around her heart. Not just to let Grant, but to also see she wasn’t the only one struggling to deal.

Grant and Aubrey’s second-chance romance took me while to get in sync with, but once everything clicked, it was a heart-tugging ride. And no worries, the story isn’t all tears and sorrow. Along with some creative make-out moments, Aubrey’s cat, Cat Damon, had some highly amusing therapy sessions, leading to the eye-opening road trip these two broken souls take.

This was by far my favorite book in this series. One of the main reasons why is how much I completely adore Grant. He such a decent, caring hero while still managing to bring the heat. I loved the connection between Grant and Aubrey and the tangible longing they still feel towards each other even after their divorce. Their emotional revisiting of what went wrong in their marriage was so sad but watching them really open up to each other and bare their heartache really created an impactful portrait of two people working to heal themselves and their relationship. Meader adds just enough humor with a feisty grandmother and cranky cat, keeping everything from being too heavy. I am a bit tired of inexplicably bad parents being used to make a character more sympathetic. Aubrey is allowed to have different ways of dealing with pain without needing a tragic backstory but that is a minor quibble in a book that I devoured like candy.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Grant and Aubrey divorced after three years of marriage, but never stopped loving each other. They simply stopped communicating and fighting for each other after a devastating miscarriage. Grant is a fixer, but Aubrey was not in a place to be fixed. A couple of years after the divorce, they were in each other’s orbit more often. Grant decided that it was time to try to get his wife back. This story is about their journey through the pain of a miscarriage and it’s after effects as a couple tries to find their way back to each other. It’s both touching and funny. It is a nice conclusion to the series.

4 Stars - Spoiler-Free Review

FINALLY! I've been waiting for Grant and Aubrey's story since I was first introduced to them in Down with Love. <-If you haven't had a chance to enjoy Max and Charlie's story, I seriously recommend it.

I love the Second Chance Divorced Couple trope, just love it. The hopeless romantic in me is always rooting for a marriage to work and Kate Meader did a fabulous job of cementing my belief that it's never too late to fight for your marriage. (I know I'm such a sap sometimes)

I liked the main characters and how relatable they were. The secondary characters had me busting a gut laughing (especially the grandma - what a hoot) and I was glad to read about the previous couples from the Laws of Attraction series.

The story flowed nicely and nothing was too dragged out, the angst level was perfect for me and kept me intrigued from beginning to end.

Being that this is book 3 of the Laws of Attraction series, I won't get too much into the plot to avoid accidentally giving away a possible spoiler. What I will say though is each book can be read a standalone if the reader wishes. You won't be confused nor feel like you missed anything - I obviously suggest reading the previous two books but that's because I did read them and enjoyed them.

I know I'm not the only one who enjoys a second chance romance involving a divorced couple and I cannot wait until the release to share Grant and Aubrey's story.

**Not posted anywhere else besides NetGalley. -> I fully understand an ARC is an uncorrected proof and will most likely change before release, but I just wanted to add a few things if they may be of use for feedback.
1. When the character flips from present internal dialogue to a past memory, it was very confusing. Maybe an italic font or additional spacing would make it easier.
2. LOC 2303 Chapter 19
"Oh, Christ!" Libby Says, and we all look up to see MY father approaching the table with Mercedes.
This scene is in Grant's POV so it should be Libby's father approaching and not my.

Thank you NetGalley for the Advance Readers Copy - I really enjoyed this Kate Meader read.

Then Came You, has a role reverse. The wife was the one to keep her emotions locked up after their miscarriage. Where the husband wanted to grieve together and talk about it. So of course a divorce is the answer to the situation. Then they decide to give the relationship a second chance. I had a hard time liking this book. Grant seems to be all in, whereas Aubrey takes until the very end of the book to get there.

I love this series and reading about Grant and Aubrey, finding out what happened to end their marriage. And seeing them heal and reconcile, not only with each other but also with Aubrey’s family. Losing someone, no matter how long you know them, has tremendous effect on people. Working through the grieving process, is hard and can take awhile and everybody does it differently. The chemistry between the two was amazing. Grant made me laugh a number of times. And, the story wouldn’t be complete without Cat Damon!! He is just like my cat.

This is the third book in the series and am assuming the last one in it since Grant was the last guy in this trio's group. I hope you have started from the beginning because past characters make appearances and are mentioned a couple of times. So we have been waiting on Grant and Aubrey's story since we were teased with it in Max' s and Charlie's book and then again in Lucas. I have to say that it wasn't what I was expecting, not that I didn't enjoy it but I guess I thought that I would have been rooting for them and honestly I didn't like Aubrey and wanted Grant to meet someone who was worthy of him. I get that she didn't feel loved but it was time for her to either get help and move on. Grant was a sweetheart and he loved her and he was hurting too the difference was that he actually wanted them to get help and she didn't and here she is a tough woman just not when she needed to be. I loved her grandmother and I even liked how everything worked out with her mom. The book was a sad story and eventually I am glad that everything worked out because I truly truly wanted Grant to be happy.

I loved this! What a fitting conclusion to this series. Definitely the best of the three. I love Kate Meader and this was wonderful. I received an ARC and thank you!

Then Came You is a beautiful story about reconnecting with someone you once loved. It follows Aubrey and Grant, two divorce attorneys who used to be married, until circumstances drove them apart. It’s clear from the beginning that neither is over the other, and there are still a lot of unresolved feelings between the two. When they agree to take a road trip together to see Aubrey’s family for the holidays, they end up spending a lot of alone time together, working through the issues that ultimately ended their marriage.

I really appreciated how much love there was between these two characters, and how it was clear that they had once had a great relationship. On the other hand, it was also clear that they never truly opened up to each other in the past and therefore didn’t understand each other completely. This book definitely pulls at the reader’s heartstrings; it’s not an easy or light-hearted book at all, but it certainly takes the reader on a journey to see how it all comes together. Then Came You shows that a marriage takes work, and the couple needs to be willing to put that work in to make it successful. Overall, a very thought provoking and heartfelt read.

I usually LOVE ex husband wife romances but this one was not that exciting. I enjoyed it I just wanted more anger and hate and more passion and it was very tame. Grant and Aubrey dated for 3 years, had a long distance relationship for 1 and were married for 3 before things fell apart. They have been divorced a year but are very friendly especialy for a pair of lawyers.

Grant is a southern guy and Aubrey is his Yankee and they both are very different. He is very warm and sweet and Aubrey is an ice queen who grew up very wealthy. She had a very sytfuncional family and it really affected her personality.

The big issue between the two is a miscarriage when she was 8 weeks pregnant. It shoud have been something they could have handled but Aubrey froze Grant out. Now years later he agrees to drive her home for the holidays and tell her grandma they are divorced. It is very much a road trip type of romance.

It is written well but the two are in love with ech other still but they also have never moved on. They are honest and reasonable peope and while that made it a pleasant boook, t took away from the excitement of the characters.

This is the third and final book in the Laws of Attraction series. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book; didn't care for the second one; this one is just okay. I've been eager to hear the story of Grant and Aubrey. I liked Grant but did not care for Aubrey. She just seemed too needy and was taking advantage of Grant's continued love for her. The miscarriage was handled well by the author but Aubrey's personality left me cold.

I liked how the ending gave us a snapshot of all three couples.

I was given a free ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is the sexy and satisfying conclusion to the Law of Attraction series. Once more, the author has created flawed characters that drew me into their world. While the plot was more subtle than the other novels in this series, the poignant tale drew me in. Aubrey, in particular, is a damaged soul from her childhood, lacking the skills to feel or express her emotions in a functional way. Grant, her ex-husband, has never stopped loving her, but knows his love isn't enough to fix Aubrey.

Heart wrenching and real, this is a novel that will, sadly, touch on a raw area for some readers. Miscarriage is a tough subject, but the author handles it with sensitivity.

While I'm sorry that this novel concludes this series, I love how the author added such depth to the characters right up until the last page. I'm already looking forward to her next book.

Fans of the genre will love this book. The author is on my must read authors' list.

What a lack of excitement! I'm not going to lie, I expected so much more with this read and I was left with utter disappointment. The content was dull, the characters didn't have any attributes that stood out and the premise was lackluster. The flow of the story wasn't the best and it would have been better if the author differentiated the past/present scenes as it all seem all mushed together. With nothing keeping me along for the ride, I unfortunately dropped this series.

Second chance romance involving two hard working, top notch divorce attorneys who happen to be previously married to each other, who truly never stopped being in love.

Pretending and trying to cope with the miscarriage that rocked their perfect world, both Aubrey and Grant decide to embark on a three day drive to Boston to visit his ex wife’s elderly grandmother. Trying to not disappoint the only family members whoever showed her love, while traveling with the man who still makes her heart rate and her lady parts happy and a grumpy pirate cat. Could only leave her with disaster and maybe a broken heart? Add to the increasingly intoxicating attraction between them still burning and the heart ache of the failure of their marriage. Can they work our their differences and give their love another chance?

I definitely enjoyed this book, It was better than I expected. It didn’t start off strong in the beginning, i definitely likes Grant a lot more than Aubrey. It was heart breaking to see that they couldn’t work out their differences after the miscarriage. And it was frustrating to me that Aubrey was constantly shutting down and acting petty in some instances.

I definitely feel like she could’ve been stronger, more determined to comfort her family. The fact that she let them disrespect her time and time again while keeping her mouth shut just rubbed me the wrong way. Not to mention the fact that they continued to berate and belittle her husband.

I still was glad to see both of them work out their differences and work things out.
