Feisty but sweet romance about second chances, family honesty, and standing up for yourself. I didn't realize book was part of a series, but you definitely don't need to read the others to enjoy this one.

This is a heartfelt book about second chances. This is a series book, which I was not aware of. I loved the characters.
The cover design is what caught my attention. Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book touched my heart. “Falling doesn’t have to be a bad thing, not when I have the greatest catcher of them all. Life can be joyous, cruel, messy, and terrifying. Love even more so. Rarely is it perfect, and realizing this at long last is the greatest gift I could ever receive.”

I adore Kate Meader and she never fails to wow me. I loved to finally get the story of Aubrey and Grant and I adore a second chance love story. This one completely worked for me. I love this friend group and getting to revisit them is one of my favorite things. There is a bit of angst in this one but I didn't find it to be overwrought. This was a solid great read and I highly recommend this series and this author! She always delivers an amazing story!

I feel like I've been waiting for Grant and Aubrey's story forever...so happy it didn't disappoint!

It was obvious from their interactions in the other two series books that they still had *something* there, and I was dying to know why on earth they weren't together anymore and how Ms. Meader was going to bring them back together--because obviously, they needed to get back together.

She definitely had her work cut out for her, because what was keeping them apart was a doozy. Something had happened in their past and neither of them had dealt with it well. Communication was very definitely an issue, and was continuing to be an issue in this book too. While this was frustrating as all get out, Ms. Meader did an excellent job of showing how their pasts helped to shape them and would continue to shape their future--until and unless Grant and Aubrey themselves decided to make some changes.

Which--spoiler alert!--they did, thank goodness. With a little help from a snowy road trip, some pot brownies, a cat which may or may not be the spawn of Satan, a little soul searching, and a lot of love. The epilogue had me in tears--so, so good!

I'm bummed to see this series end, but am really looking forward to whatever Ms. Meader has in store for us next!

Aubrey and Grant were married, but it didn't work out. Both are divorce attorneys and frequently see each other in court. Both still have feelings for each other, but can't seem to make it work. Aubrey never told her grandmother Libby that she is divorced. When Libby's 90th birthday celebration comes around, Aubrey and Grant drive together from Chicago to Boston. In the process of the road trip they rekindle their love and also open old wounds.

I had a hard time getting into this book and found myself skimming a lot of it. Grant and Aubrey broke up over her miscarriage. This comes out over a series of flashbacks that aren't always obvious, which makes it confusing. I found the constant back and forth over the aftermath of the miscarriage to be tiring. There is also a side story about Aubrey's family. The book ends well for Aubrey and Grant, but I don't have any interest in reading more.

Kate Meader I love your stories! You never let me down. Your women are fierce and your men are smokin, and this story is no different! This book has a touching back-story, one that will relate to many. I like how the couple navigate their past and present and circle around the elephant in the room. Having the Chicago backdrop always makes me happy as well. Another score for Kate--bring on the next! (which I have already pre-ordered!)

I have read the 1st, two books in this series and I’m so glad that book three was about Grant and Aubrey. In the other books you know they were married and divorced. However the real reason of why the divorce nobody knows. In this book you find out why. This is a great book about two people who belong together find their way back to one another.

I really enjoyed this book and this series. This book is wrote with a dual POV and great supporting characters.

I received an advanced copy for an honest review.

I loved everything about this book. This was a one sitting read for me. Kate Meader writes books that pull me in and keep on my toes. This was the perfect second chance romance.

Grant and Aubrey were once married and are now divorced. They are both lawyers and still have to see in each in court sometimes. They still have some of the same friends so it’s hard to see each other at events. They were so good together until something happens that tears them apart. Neither of them know how to handle what they are going through. Grant wants to talk it out while Aubrey shuts down and tries to forget and move on.

This was a heartwarming fill good story that I loved.

The story was written a dual first person narrative, where characters are described directly. The conflict is a mixture of internal and external as characters battle themselves, others and society. The major themes that come into place are love, survival, death and prejudice.
Aubrey Grates is a young divorce lawyer who stills hangs out with her ex-husband due to their common group of friends and same profession. She happens to have a cat she loves and now needs to find a way back to Chicago after injuring her arm, eliminating the idea of driving herself. Grant Lincoln is also a divorce lawyer who lives on his own and still hasn’t gotten over his ex-wife. In order to get some kind of closure, he decides to offer to drive her home. Aubrey breaks her arm shortly before the wedding of a good friend that not only puts her in the same room as her ex-husband. Her ex-husband decides to take a chance and offers to drive her and her cat back to Chicago for Thanksgiving with her family, unknown to him that her grandmother doesn’t know the two are divorce. This means he is expected to attend her ninetieth birthday party with the whole family, including Aubrey stuffy parents and in Aubrey’s opinion her perfect brothers and their spouses. This long road trip from Boston to Chicago may be what is just needed for Aubrey and Grant to figure out what went wrong and maybe a way to either become friends or re-kindled the love they once had.
The ideas are interesting and the flow is logical and organized. The voices are individualized but also balance each other as the word choice and sentence structure helps to enhance the story. Yes, I would recommend this book. It would excellent for those enjoy couples finding closure, couples who are willing to become friends and divorce lawyers who believe in love. This would not be a good read for those against couples lying to family, couples who keep major secrets from friends and family or those who break up when things get to difficult.

Then Came You is the final book in Kate Meader’s Law of Attraction series. We have been getting hints of Audrey and Grant’s story and this brings it all together. Their breakup is heartbreaking to watch in flashback, but their getting back together is all kindsa fun. A second chance road trip makes this one of my favorite almost summer reads.

When tragedy hits the lives of a married couple, it can bring so much grief that marriages are put to a test. I’ve seen it in real life and it’s as true in Grant and Aubrey’s story. Unfortunately, not all marriages can rise from such a heavy burden. In Then Came You, Kate Meader manages to put real life troubles in Grant and Aubrey’s story for us to witness.

The tragedy or the real reason for the divorce is not mentioned in the blurb and so, I won’t mention the details, but the issue at hand is deeper than what its explained. It’s true, Grant and Aubrey will have to face Aubrey’s grandmother and to tell her the truth, but there’s more there than meets the eye. Perhaps a long overdue conversation to discuss loss or grief, past or current feelings, and maybe just a chance to get to know each other again. Issues most married couples need to face but often neglect.

Meader did a great job portraying these issues no matter how petty or deep the issues were. She made it easy to look at these issues from an outside point of view. I Rooted for Grant and Aubrey from the start. I knew they had something heavy weighing on them and I needed to see them overcome them. Meader did a great job leading them to it. She infused their story with heartfelt drama, humor, romance, and hope. I enjoyed every bit of it.

I think a part of me always knew what happened but I was afraid to put that out into the world. I saw these two as an enigma. I knew they belonged together. I knew they deserved their happily ever after. I just didn't want to entertain what could possible cause so much hurt. I didn't want it to be "real."

You see, I am a hopeless romantic. I long for rainbows and sunshine. I know there are dark places and occasionally places with no light. Even those places can have hope...

So I hoped for this story. I was chomping at the bit for Kate Meader to write Grant and Aubrey's story. Now I can rest easily. I can smile and relax knowing they got exactly what they deserve.

And FYI, I really like Grant's ratio. I think many readers will try to adopt this rule! 😉

Then Came You is the third (and I believe last) in the Laws of Attraction series.
Full disclosure: I haven’t read the other two in the series. I didn’t feel like I missing some important information. This book can totally be read as a stand-alone.

The author did an amazing job with this book. I’m a sucker for a good second chance and Ms. Meader brought it to a whole new angsty level.
Aubrey and Grant - both divorce lawyer - were once married and madly in love.
It’s obvious from the first chapter how these two are meant to be together.
So what could’ve possibly torn them apart?

I think the manner in which everything unfolded was well done. It had me falling for these two characters and longing for them to get there issues resolved so they could get back together.

Aubrey and Grant couldn’t be more different; from their backgrounds to their personalities, but they were just so right for each other.
I believe the sensitive subject matter was dealt with in a realistic and authentic way.
It added more depth to their story.

All that said, I felt like it was a bit rushed towards the end and wrapped up pretty quickly.

Then Came You is an emotional second chance romance that is sure to deliver on all the feels.

This is such a sweet book to read. Their relationship is full of ups and downs. It's just a confused girl that needs extra love due to her childhood. Grant Lincoln sure has his work cut out for him. He takes the responsibility of trying and really digs in when she needs him. He sees his chance to wooo her all over again, and takes a strong hold. He loves her, but how far will he go to show her? He has to start with her family and work his way back into her heart. It's a sweet book that has you rooting for both sides.

I really enjoyed this book. From the other books, we could tell Grant and Aubrey's feelings for each other were far from over. The story takes us to Chicago, thanks to Aubrey's deception to dear old granny. And a thousand miles later, well..things get complicated. I adore the way the author handled such a delicate theme such as a miscarriage. It's never an easy situation to write about. A solid five from Kate Meader!

Then Came You is the third and final book in the Laws of Attraction series by Kate Meader and it was the book that I was most looking forward to because we're finally going to get the lowdown on what truly happened between Grant and Aubrey. Grant and Aubrey used to be married but something happened that drove them apart and before either of them knew what was what, the marriage and the relationship were over. These days, they're still in each other's lives because they share friends and work near each other. They're both divorce attorneys and often find themselves across the courtroom from each other so when Grant hears that Aubrey needs a ride home for the holidays, he offers to take her...and to pretend to still be married to her so that she can tell her aging grandmother the truth, in person.

On the road trip, Grant and Aubrey are stuck in close quarters with nothing but the road and time on their hands. They have a lot of time to talk things over and Grant realizes that his feelings for Aubrey never went away so he decides that he's going to use this opportunity to try to figure out where they went wrong and how to fix them.

Aubrey grew up rich and she didn't have the kind of loving upbringing that Grant did so she grew up to have a lot of Mommy and Daddy issues. Her parents left a lot to be desired in the parenting department and the only person in her family that she is close to is her grandmother. Her grandmother that never knew that she and Grant have been divorced for the last few years. Aubrey is finally going to tell her the truth but when they get home, Aubrey is so confused about everything that things don't go the way that she thought it would.

Grant grew up with his single mother and all the love that could be showered on one person. He grew up in a happy home and never wanted his Mom to work as hard as she did while he was growing up. He wanted to take care of everyone around him and when he failed with Aubrey, his life was thrown off its axis. Being around Aubrey again, wanting to fix everything that went wrong with them is a lot harder than he thought as well.

Of the three books in this series, this book was my favorite. It was full of angst and just as intense as I thought it would be. Seeing Grant and Aubrey work through their shit and fall in love all over again with who they were now and recognizing who they were before, it all made for such a great second chance romance. I loved seeing the gang altogether again and really, Kate Meader did her thing with this one and I'm glad that I read it.

Eh...so many mixed feelings about this book.

First, I felt like we needed more than just the loss to be the cause of everything (and I mean everything) in this book. As someone who has been in Aubrey's shoes, more than once, I completely understand how absolutely devastating a loss like that can be. And I completely understand that people grieve in different ways, so I'm not one to judge. I just felt like everything revolved around that loss.

Second, the entire book was like a pity party for Aubrey. I found her to be incredibly selfish; it was almost as if Grant was an after thought.
