This is my second Riley Sager novel and I’m definitely a fan. I loved the old New York building, which was as much a character as it was the setting. This one is a slow burn full of misleading twists and turns and a shocking conclusion.

New York City, the perfect apartment, the perfect house sitting arrangement, the perfect pay, what could possibly go wrong? If you're already a fan of Riley Sager and his unique brand of psychological thrillers than you already know that this is all the perfect combination of circumstances to keep you on the edge of your seat and dying to find out what is going on beneath the surface in his latest book, Lock Every Door. The thriller follows the young and seemingly naive Jules as she soon discovers her new gig apartment sitting at one of Manhattan's most elite buildings is not all that it seems to be. In true Riley Sager fashion you will continually keep yourself second guessing what will happen next and trying to figure out which characters will betray you in this fast paced, unputdownable thriller.

Oh my gosh. This was perfect. My favorite Riley Sager so far. LOVE. At a certain point in the story, I thought the story was going to be too similar to the book written by the author in the dedication page...then it went a totally different direction! I just loved this and it went an incredibly dark direction by the end.

Sager does such an amazing job tapping into some of our biggest fears. I love how in each of his novels he takes on urban legend style fears and turns them on their head revealing different facets of human nature. Lock Every Door is a pulse pounding thriller. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

I have loved all of Riley Sager's books so far and this was no exception. I thought that Jules was such an awesome MC and I was very intrigued to find out why all this stuff was happening. The ending was a bit weird and that's why I didnt give it a full 5 stars but I still highly recommend.

Another fun, absorbing novel that is a perfect homage to Ira Levin, and also a terrific beach read. I read it on a plane, and the pages flew.

Riley Sager won me over with Final Girls...but he managed to make it towards the top of my must read authors list with Lock Every Door. Every time I thought I had it figured out, another twist would happen and I’d be set off in another direction. While I have to admit that I can’t buy all of the storyline...I can suspend some disbelief simply because I enjoyed this book so much. I noticed a few grammatical errors which I’m sure will be ironed out before final publication. I will say this...Sager is ironically creating his own list of final girls with every book he publishes...and I can’t wait to meet the next one.

Jules Larsen is pretty pleased about her new job as apartment sitter at the posh Bartholomew building, the home of some of Manhattan’s richest and most famous residents. As a lowly sitter, Jules is instructed not to interact with or disturb any of the residents, but she strikes up a friendship with fellow apartment sitter, Ingrid. Ingrid begins to share what she knows about the Bartholomew, and it’s far from comforting. Jules tells herself the stories are just urban legends, until Ingrid disappears and then the stories become all too real. The tension in this story kept me riveted, part ghost story, part thriller, this book should firmly cement Sager as one of the best new thriller writers in the genre

Sager, like wine, gets better every year!! This book was so riveting, I missed lots of sleep, but well worth the loss. It’s chilling, thrilling, disturbing, but in my opinion so absolutely possible it just makes it more scary. A must read for Sager fans, thriller fans, horror fans, or just those who love a crazy chilling read that is sure to make their heart pound in excitement!
I will be ranting and raving this book up, in Chapter Chatter Pub, as a must read for everyone that can handle disturbing cruelty of our world!

I can not thank Netgalley enough for granting me a review copy of this book. I have been a fan of Riley Sager since his first novel Final Girls and I was even more impressed with The Last Time I Lied. Lock Every Door absolutely did not disappoint. Sager has quickly taken the spot of my favorite author and I can’t not wait for him to write more. LED has an engaging plot, interesting characters and great.....well everything. What I enjoy about Sager more than anything is his ability to nearly blindside me with twists. Sure I might figure out who-done-it but there’s always something else I didn’t expect. Read this book!!

Another fun mystery from Riley Sagar! This one was easier to figure out than the earlier novels, but I still enjoyed the twisted plot and the creepy setting.

It took me completely by surprise, and that's hard to do with books in this genre.
