We follow another adventure of Phoebe and Marigold, the unicorn quite fun. Always radiant, always spreading brightness and comparing the world of humans with that of unicorns, we are following the plight of the two friends.
It's a fun story, great for kids, but even adults like it.
The illustrations are fantastic and I became a fan of the author.

This a cute book about a girl and her unicorn. The illustrations are sweet, but I think this would be best suited for younger kids because it does not have a plot. It is more a series of mundane events that Phoebe and her unicorn go through. One minute they’re bowling, the next they’re playing a card game, then Phoebe is at school writing a book report. It’s like a bunch of comic strips that were binded and made into a book.

Another year of fun, philosophy, minor life problems, summer camp, and sparkle epidemics with Marigold Heavenly Nostrils and Phoebe.

I’m amazed at Dana Simpson’s creativity. It seems to be unending. Marigold and Phoebe are constantly learning new things about each other, even after years of friendship, which is so true to life. A good friendship never grows stale. I also like the variety of topics that they discuss from bowling to sneezing to school to Unicorn summer camp. And they are both always massively entertaining. I can’t wait to be able to have this one on our Media Center shelves. The students (and teachers) love Marigold and Phoebe!

No content issues.

I really enjoy this series, it's so funny and sweet. Even though I'm adult, and not the target audience, I still relate to both Phoebe and her parents. Marigold is a delight, as always. Unicorn!

I don't enjoy hiccups, and this book starts with a lot of them. But each hiccup brings sparkles, and who isn't down with that?

Phoebe and Her Unicorn are favorite characters for my strongest, snarkiest girls. They are not the girls that are pulled in by unicorns and rainbows. Once I get them to read of couple of pages, however, they are hooked. Some of my students who do enjoy sparkles and glitter also pick it up. There is plenty of happiness and light to keep them happy as well.

A great addition to a great series.

Phoebe and Heavenly Nostrils are always ready to cheer up a reader. Their brand of honest comedy, narcissism, and insight is a perfect blend of friendship. While this book is not the best in the series, it will still stand the test of time and be read decades from now like Garfield and Peanuts. This book seems rushed. Each book goes through about a year and this titles seems like it just skips and jumps around that year only catching highlights. Another good book in the series, but not the best one.

I'm a big fan of the Phoebe and Her Unicorn stories, which remind me of all the best parts of reading the comics page in the newspaper growing up. They're also really popular with the kids in my library too. This one contains more of the great interactions between Phoebe and Marigold Heavenly Nostrils, plus a few of Phoebe's friends and a bunch of new unicorns at the unicorn summer camp they both attend this year. I love the blend of fantasy and realism as well as the inclusion of modern technology. There's not too much new here in theme or tone, but I think it will continue to appeal to readers.

Phoebe and Marigold are back! I love this series, readers have heard me swoon about these books before. This is #9 in the series and they are all fun and the stories and jokes are common ones even though there are mythical creatures involved.

I love that this series has stayed so entertaining all the way through, the jokes still make me laugh and I am still loving the characters. In this installment like many of the others, it is a compilation of a bunch of short comic strips. The strips range in topics and we see Phoebe's and Marigold's relationship in all its finest times. I love how much they appreciate each other and support one another and their weirdness.

It was a wonderful read and if you have liked the others, you will like this one too.

We get to see our favorite characters in the Phoebe and Marigold series: Dakota, Max, and the others. This time Phoebe is signed up for her school's talent show and works on several songs. She also goes to Max's birthday. They also get to go... bowling.

Four and a half stars
This book comes out April 23rd

I really enjoyed this one, as I have all of the Phoebe and her unicorn books. They are colorful, intelligent, and funny. They also have wonderfully short little story sections that are perfect for more reluctant readers. Fun read. I have to say that I love all of the unicorn legends referenced throughout.

I had assumed that this series was light, fluffy, fun, and not much more. I was wrong! Now that I've read this, the newest book in the Phoebe and Her Unicorn Series, I see that there is a delightful depth as well. I wish I had this book when I was a kid because I would have related to Phoebe.

There are moments of pure sparkly silliness, yes. But also real character development and topics such as loneliness, bullying, and family dynamics.

I appreciated the nod to Calvin and Hobbes feeling small when they look at the stars. I also love that it is written in a bit of a comic strip format, rather than a flowing narrative. It will be an easy read for reluctant readers.

Oh boy.

ALL THE SPARKLES!

What a ride.

Believe it or not, this is my first time reading a graphic novel about Phoebe and Marygold. Sure, I’ve seen it mentioned here and there, heard a couple of great things about the series but never bothered to pick it up myself. Just to think of all the greatness I’ve been denying myself! *gasp*

In seriousness, though, this is a wonderful sparkly book full of magic and sass. It’s equal parts funny, heart-warming and relatable. The art is on-point. And Marygold is my apirit animal, honestly.

Also, does anyone know a guy who can hook me up with a unicorn? Asking for a friend.

Unicorn Bowling is a collection of comics that would be suitable for young readers probably aged 8 through 11 or so. Some strips are complete in 4 panes on one page, others span multiple page (much like traditional comics that sometimes follow a plot for a full week, other times have unrelated strips each day).

Another great series of adventures starring Phoebe and Marigold Heavenly Nostrils. Perfect for both new readers to the series or returning ones.

Attention! We have Phoebe and her Unicorn #9!!! My son and I have read these from the first book. We were beyond excited.

First let me tell you what Ivan says. "This was full of the funniest jokes yet!"

It's very lighthearted, and as an adult I still enjoy this series. I especially get it when her parents are on scene. But Phoebe and her Unicorn speaks to the little girl I used to be. Love it, seriously!

I loved this graphic novel! I was laughing out loud at Phoebe and her unicorn's antics! My students love unicorn's so I can't wait to get this in their hands!

Unicorn Bowling successfully continues the adorable adventures of Phoebe and Marigold, with appearances by the cool parents, Evil Dakota, and Adoradweeb Max. Plus, you get to see Marigold in a bowling shirt!

This is another great sequel in the Phoebe books! My students love the stories about Phoebe and Marigold Heavenly Nostrils. They will be thrilled about another book to add to our classroom collection! I love that there are multiple adventures in each book. This is great for reluctant readers who have trouble holding on to a lot of text and story at one time. I also love the adorable illustrations that grab my kiddos attention. I will be grabbing a copy for our classroom as soon as it comes out!

I am just starting to read more graphic novels looking to add to our collection at home. This looks like a promising series and I hope to check out some of the previous titles. I think my favorite feature is the glossary at the back to help young readers build their vocabularies.

Does Dana Simpson truly never run out of ideas? This is her 9th Phoebe book, and everything is still original, fresh, and hilarious, all with a sprinkle of heart throughout. I envy her talent. A lot.

In this installment, Phoebe writes essays, books, and even a song about Marigold ("Unicorns are Stupidfaces" may SOUND insulting, but it's very catchy). Together, they fight crime, cheat at Chess (well, one of them), go bowling, and even partake of a slip and slide.

Most exciting, Phoebe is allowed to go to Unicorn Summer Camp. She stands out, and she's proud of it.

I realize this book hasn't yet been published as of this review, but how long until the next installment?
