Due to a passing in the family a few years ago and my subsequent health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for years after the bereavement. Thank you for the opportunity.
Brimming with tension and menace, The Sait of Baghdad, is an outstanding and compelling read!
A loved this fast-building, high-tension ride and can't wait for another book by this author.
CJ Brink is the kind of character readers want to get behind. He's complex and carrying a bit of baggage, Michael Woodman did a good job of fleshing out the character portrait. The secondary characters are engaging and interesting. A lot of time in this book is spent setting up the series, which led me to the feeling that it was a little unbalanced. The need to explain background and set scenes sometimes made the story stall and that took some of the excitement away. Overall, I was entertained by The Saint of Baghdad and would read more from Michael Woodman.
I received my copy through NetGalley under no obligation.
