I’ve been seeing a lot of alien game books on the usual platforms, and I wasn’t really sold on the idea!
But reading the blurb on the back of this got my interest piqued, so I downloaded it.
And I’m glad I did, the characters are great, the story is really good. It flows really well, and the descriptions will have you seeing a movie playing in your mind. A little like The Hunger Games (but for adults)😉 A tower with different levels and a few surprises to either aid or confuse the contestants.
Damon is heir to Saberlynth, so he doesn’t really need to participate in the games, but he needs to prove to his kingdom he will be a good leader, and to himself that he can defend his throne and people. So going undercover seemed like the best option (he can reveal himself at the end of the games) well that’s the story he’s told himself..... he wants revenge on the assassin that killed his father and threw them into a war with the aliens that sent the assassin, he’s found out that Bastion has entered the games. So if Damon can find and deflower Bastion’s prize before his enemy can, then that’s going to be a bonus, and if Bastion “accidentally” dies, then Damn will see that as a double bonus.
And when Damon discovers that Melody is Bastion’s prize, well he’s going to make sure that we will be the only one to satisfy the cute human!!!!
The games are a throw back from Ancient Greece. Men would enter contests of strength, the games in the future still hold great feats of strength, but the prize isn’t a medal, it’s the “de flowering of a virgin”!
“So those are the rules, folks. The women have seven days to prove their mettle. Seven days in which to evade capture from their drawn hunter…or to succumb to ecstasy in another hunter’s arms.”
The women need to evade their “mate” that gets them more credits, but if she has sex with the other “hunters” then she gets even more credits!!
The women usually do it for a better life, and it’s better than being kidnapped and sold as a slave!!
Melody is one of those women, a human woman that wants a better life for herself and her family, evading her chosen hunter will be difficult but she’s up for a challenge. And if she wants to earn more credits, well that’s for her to decide.
The draw between Melody and Damon is almost instant. Both feel an attraction, although they both know that after the games have ended they’ll go their separate ways. But the more time they spend together evading the hunters and getting to know one another, the harder it’s going to end this intense attachment.
The fight scenes are well thought out. Pretty graphic in places, inventive in others parts. Melody is no shrinking wallflower and can take down the hunters with few problems. Evading Bastion is her main goal, and keeping one step ahead proves challenging.
And although it’s all about having sex, there is a large amount of romance and tender moments with Damon and Melody.
I’d love to know more about the other characters, I’d love more books to accompany this one.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

The Virgin Hunt Games by Mel Teshco is a sexy, action packed book. The book focuses on Melody Simmons and Damon Banscott. Melody is human and desperately needs money to help her family. In order to get the money, she volunteers for the Virgin Hunt Games, which means she needs to entice as many hunters to bed her as possible to get more credits. The downside to this is that millions of viewers are going to watch her fall from grace.
Enter alien Damon Banscott. Even though he hates everything to do with the games, his nemesis is going to be there, and he is out for revenge. The only plus side is Melody, who he is instantly attracted to the moment he sees her and vows to help her get as many credits as he can…as long as she’s his!
There is a lot going on in this book, from us learning who Damon really is and why he is out for revenge, the many sexy scenes between him and Melody as well as the many obstacles that are in the way as they try to play the game and survive. Melody is a strong woman and knows what she wants, and I liked that she didn’t necessarily fawn over Damon but got his help when she needed it and used her own cunning when she didn’t. The interaction between Damon and Melody was great as was learning about other characters and where they were from. As this is an erotica, there are definitely a lot of sexy scenes with some elements of kink.
Overall, an enjoyable alien read!
ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊

This book was definitely different than what I normally read and I like to change things up a bit. I am glad I did because this book really didn't disappoint.
Melody was determined to enter the games to earn as much money as she could for her family. Even if that meant sleeping with as many hunters as she possibly could. She knew her family would be watching and so would her friends but desperate times and all she felt she had no other choice.
When Damon entered the games he only sought vengeance to destroy his enemy legally and he never expected to find Melody, the one girl he would fight for.
Throughout the games you can feel the impact of choices made, the rush of urgency and sometimes I had to put my book down because I needed a moment to breathe.
If you want a steamy read, one that will keep you up at all hours of the night. One that you can't stop thinking about. You have to read this book. Come out of your comfort zone and try it. I am so glad I did and look forward to the 2nd book.

This is my first time reading anything from this author but it will not be my last. The book was captivating from the blurb until the last page. It was an amazing read.
The title of the book, The Virgin Hunt Games, clearly described what to expect from the story. Twenty contestants, 10 warriors and 10 virgins from all over the galaxy entered into a reality game show trying to earn credits. The game was violent, gruesome and brutal – something like Survivor meets Hunger Games.
I had an exciting time going on this adventure with Melody and Damon. They each had their reason to enter into the contest. As the days went by, their insta-lust for each other grew into something more which ultimately had them re-consider their priority.
I was pleasantly surprised that there was a real plot with multi-layered characters instead of a series of meaningless sex scenes. The description of the environment painted a vivid picture of the tower in my head. The never-ending danger and challenges kept me engaged the whole time. I understood the internal battles that the couple had to go through. They not only had to constantly determine who they could trust, but also they had to reevaluate what was more important to them. I was engrossed into the story which provided a thrilling and sexy escape from the real world.
★ Well-written, action-packed game of survival - “Credits are a great motivator.” ★
—>>> Melody is a rare human amongst the other participants in the depraved and possibly deadly Virgin Hunt Games, but she is not going to quit before she tries her best to come out the winner of the most popular show in the galaxy. All in the name of entertainment. Finding herself partnered as Hunted to the alpha male Hunter Damon, and not her original, game-matched Hunter mate turns out to be a priceless move to survive the grueling seven day period. But, as the game progresses, the rules get thrown out the window, and the next thing she knows, Melody could think of no one else she wanted to keep by her side…at least for the Games, but perhaps she is beginning to wish for more beyond. With each their own agenda, Damon and Melody join forces to gain credits and watch each other’s backs, but still more is poised to go down as each day crawls by. Well-written, action-packed game of survival and steamy moments, too!
This is the first time I have read anything by this author and I have to say that I was blown away. The plot was vastly entertaining, suspenseful, and full of action and steamy scenes that I had a hard time putting it down each night. The characters, both the main and secondary characters, were interesting. The romance that blossomed in spite of such terrible circumstances was so tender and hot all at once. Loved this! #netgalley #thevirginhuntgames #defective
The Virgin Hunt Games is like a sex-fueled version of The Hunger Games.
10 Virgin women enter the games as the "hunted". The goal for the "Hunted" is to have as many sexual experiences as possible for credits (money). The kinkier the act the more credit they will receive. The "Hunters" are 10 men, who are deprived of sex for 30-days prior to the games. The goal for the "hunters" is to find the "mate" who they were "assigned" prior to entering the games, and deflower her before she has a chance to be with any other hunter.
What will happen when 2 unmatched contestants cant take their eyes off one another? What twisted obstacles lay before the contestants? Most importantly, who will survive?
If you like Erotica with some romance, then this book is a must read.
I am thankful to NetGalley, Mel Teshco and Entangled Publishing LLC for allowing me the opportunity to review this ARC for my honest and unbiased review. All Opinions expressed in this review are solely mine.
Damon is taking part in the Virgin Hunt Games because his enemy was there as well. While Melody was there to make as much money as she could to help her family.
There are the hunters and the hunted in these games. There are ten of each. The goal is for the hunters to capture their intended hunted and have sex with them bringing them as much pleasure as possible. The hunted try to either have sex with as many of the hunters as possible while keeping away from their intended or they can get extra points for having kinky sex. They make more money for doing different things during the games and evading capture for the full 7 days from their intended would be one of the ways to make a lot of money. The women (hunted) are there to lose their virginity on intergalactic tv and make money doing it while the hunters are there to give the women as much pleasure as possible. They get more money the more orgasms they give the hunted. Think Hunger Games but they aren't trying to kill each other. At least they aren't supposed to but Damon wants Bastion dead for killing his father.
Damon decides to first get revenge by taking Bastion's intended mate who ends up being Melody. At first all he wants is to be the first to have sex with her and keep her away from Bastion but as the days go on, he starts to feel more and more for her. Because the producers throw dangerous situations at the participants, both Melody and Damon have situations where they end up saving the other one from certain death which only strengthens their bond. Some of the hunters aren't really bad guys but hunters like Bastion and a couple of the others don't care about the hunted or playing fair. Bastion is a real jerk and Melody was lucky that Damon helped her evade him throughout the games.
Damon and Melody are great together and I really liked that underneath the gruff surface, Damon was a really good guy. He just wanted what was best for his people and to get revenge for his father's murder. I wasn't sure if I was going to like this story but it was told so well that I actually felt like I was watching a tv show or movie. I really liked the characters because they were all so different and different kinds of aliens.
Disclosure: I was given an e-ARC via NetGalley but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book is basically the erotic equivalent of the Hunger Games, and it was a fun read but it had a few flaws, the largest of which being that while the main characters had some depth, the other characters were completely flat, so when something happened to them it was really difficult to care. That being said, it was an erotic story and they’re not necessarily story driven, and with that in mind it was an easy read, I got through the whole book in a few hours and wasn’t bored, so overall I give it three stars. On a final note, the writing in the book really is solid and I’m interested to check out the sequel if there is one or other books by this author.
This is the adult alien version of the hunger games. This fast-paced read keeps you on the edge of your seat. As the characters face different obstacles during the games and of course those steamy scenes are pretty white-hot.
Warning for some readers there are threats of assault, violence and death.
Viewers from all over the galaxy tune in to watch virgins lose their virginity. Melody Simmons signed up to help her family out of poverty. The best way to achieve that is to sleep with as many hunters as possible, except her assigned mate.
Half-alien Damon Banscott hates these games but jumps at the chance to confront his enemy legally in the games. When he sees Melody he feels the pull to protect her and to get to her before her assigned mate.
Melody and Damon team-up so he can be her first, also to protect her from the more ruthless hunters.
Thanks so much the Entangled, NetGalley and the author for this ARC to review.
*3.75 stars
This was so much fun!! I LOVE alien romances, and this is quite the unique one!
Okay so I have no idea if the author was trying to get this across, but I would probably describe this book as an adult, steamy, alien version of the hunger games 😂And I love all of those things so this was highly entertaining!! I really loved the talk about different alien species, but I do wish we got to see first hand our hero's planet and culture. I thought that would have been great to read about!!
I did think that the couple fell in love way too fast for my liking, but what else can you expect when reading a book that takes place only over seven days?
I found this book to be super fun, steamy, and action-packed and I cannot wait to read the next book in this series (if there will be one!) :)
I was sent this book as an advanced copy from the publisher for an honest review

The Hunger Games + Aliens + Sex = one hell of a read. In this book aliens from around the galaxy get their chance at winning credits to bring home to their families, pay their way out of debts, or simply get revenge on an enemy. Every virgin gets paired off with a hunter, a warrior, whose main focus is to bed their virgin so they can win the credits. The virgins are all focused on winning credits too, by bedding any hunter who is not their pair. Apparently in the future we lose sight of what is and is not allowed on television and we just watch porn for 7 days straight.
I expected it to be a book that focused solely on the sex and let the story fall by the wayside, but I was pleasantly surprised that while obviously an erotica (seriously, there's sex in nearly every chapter), the story was thought out too. The different levels they played on, the relationships between the characters - not just the hero and heroine, they were all well thought out and well written. I would have liked a better description of some of the aliens but honestly that's just me being picky.
I thought it was a good book, a nice and quick read for someone who is looking for entertainment rather than learning.
Original, dark, bloody, and steamy! This book was not what I expected!

I can tell you, when I read the blurb I had a “huh” moment...but then I read the blurb again and said...hmmm this might be something interesting to read, it sounded different and it was. Take the hunger games, add the best alien fighters, violence and lots of steam, all for credits (bonus credits for kink) and you have the Virgin Hunt Games.
The Olympics have been replaced with the Virgin Hunt Games. Virgins (the Hunted) and the strongest fighters (the Hunters) are randomly paired together in the Virgin Hunt Games. The Hunter’s goal is to sleep with their assigned virgin to gain credits (money), the Hunted’s goal is to sleep with anyone but their assigned “mate”. Orgasms = credits! All for this to ensure the best viewer ratings.
Most are blackmailed into the games, but some are trying to escape poverty. like Melody, and some are there to avenge a great wrong, Damon. All are just trying to survive the seven days locked in a Tower facing unspeakable challenges! And just like today’s reality tv, the more drama the more viewers, and this Virgin Hunt is chock-full of drama!
This story was wild, unique, full of bloody challenges, fights, and steam. I am still a little amazed by the sheer originality of this story. What would you do to save your family from poverty, avenge a wrong? Would you be willing to risk it all in the Virgin Hunt Games?
I enjoyed this story. I connected to the characters, sometimes I wanted to smack them on their heads, but I felt their plight, and I understood the rules going into this book so I let some things slide in this book that I wouldn’t generally let slide in others, but it was all due because of the game.
I cheered for the good guys and booed at the bad guys. I cringed at some of the challenges, and I enjoyed a Hunter and Hunted becoming a team. It’s a messed up, dark themed book, but if you want unique, dark, and bloody...WITH a HEA! I recommend you give this a try! I personally have read nothing like it!
This book is the hunger games.. with aliens.. and sex.. Lots and lots of sex. It was pretty much exactly what I thought it was going to be going into it. I enjoyed the storyline. I love a good smutty alien book. I really like that this one was a lot more than just smut though. Damon has plans. He has to get revenge so his people will look up to him. Melody agrees to enter the virgin hunt because she needs the money to take care of her family. The two have an instant attraction and fight the rules to stay together.
I enjoyed this story. Is it award winning? no. But if you are looking for a good time then pick this up! You won't regret it. I read this in one sitting and enjoyed ever minute!
3.75/5 stars!
The Virgin Game is the popular competition of females being hunted by males to lose their virginity. When the heroine got captured and offered monetary compensation if she participated in the Virgin Game, she accepted due to gaining wealth for her family as they are struggling financially. The hero entered the game due to vengeance, in which he set his sight on the appointed mate of his enemy. How will the pair cope during the game as each have their own goals for the games while battling other contestants and the obstacles of the game?
Knowing what kind of book this is, I was prepared for the sexy times that the story is focused on. I enjoyed the couple as individuals and together. There was enough information provided to make the world clear in my mind and why such a game came about. Though I didn't mind the sexy times, there was one instant that I didn't like but it fits within the story. It was also nice to read about some of the secondary characters. Overall this is an enjoyable erotic romance and I look forward to reading more Mel Teshco books in the future.
**I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**
I hate giving a book a 2-star review but there are some things I really didn't enjoy about this book that overall ruined it for me. It could definitely be a book for others, but for me, I just had too many issues with the heroine, Melody, and certain situations in the book. Now let's get down to the nitty-gritty! (spoilers are below so be warned!)
What I liked:
-I really enjoyed Damon and found his endeavor to get revenge on Bastion for doing some pretty shitty things (I won't say exactly what so as to not spoil too much)
-I loved Galeisha and want an entire book on just her!
-the entire premise of the book is so promising and I really enjoyed the hunger games aspect of it!
What I didn't like:
-I didn't like how Galeisha and Melody's sex scene felt. It felt fetishized and I didn't like how Damon seemed more ok with her having sex with Galeshia because she was a woman than with Fallon (who is a man). Not only that but the sex between them was considered "kinkier" because they were two women and it didn't feel right to me. We also exclusively see this scene from Damon's point of view as opposed to Melody which REALLY didn't sit right with me.
-I didn't like how their romance evolved. It didn't feel natural and it felt very surface level.
-There were many instances of repeated phrases (especially in the sex scenes), a lot of info-dumping in terms of giving a background to the characters, and it felt very... unpolished. I don't know how else to explain it.
-I don't like how Mahatna was a typical jealous other woman trope and felt it really didn't add anything to the story.
There are a few other things I had an issue with, but these are the main things that grabbed my attention (the main thing being Melody and Galeisha's sex scene. That one was a big issue for me). If this sounds like something for you, go ahead and read it! This one just wasn't for me.
TW for the book: there is attempted r*pe, lots of violence, and gore

Thank you, Netgalley, for the gifted copy, which I voluntarily read and reviewed.
This book is like reality tv meets sex meets the hunger games but for an older audience. It was action-packed, moved along quickly and had plenty of sexy scenes.
I did find that I started skimming sex scenes as there is a lot.
Perfect if you enjoy reality tv, banter, sex, or love the hunger games but want a more "adult" version.
⭐⭐⭐.5
This book brought the steam and heat! The story was well written and I enjoyed it. This was my first read for this author and I enjoyed it
The virgin hunt games. Pretty similar to the hunger games but with aliens and lots of sex. It's an erotic novel so sex will be predominant here but it was to the detriment of the actual love story.
