I’d like to thank Thomas & Mercer and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘Buried Deep’, fourth in the Private Investigator Jessie Cole series written by TR Ragan, in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

During Private Investigator Jessie Cole’s search Arlene Snyder who went missing thirty years ago, she receives a call from an investigative company in Phoenix, Arizona. They need to locate Lacey Geiger who they have reason to believe lives in Sacramento, as she’s been named in her grandmother’s Will and is due to become a very rich young woman if she can be found before the end of the month. Meanwhile, Jessie’s good friend Ben Morrison who’s the crime reporter on the Sacramento Tribune and who suffers from amnesia due to a car accident, is suspected of attacking paedophile Roger Willis the sports coach at his daughter’s school.

I was delighted to be asked to review ‘Buried Deep’ as TR Ragan has long been one of my favourite writers and I’ve enjoyed everything she’s written. I’m very glad to say that I haven’t been disappointed as her latest offering is a fantastic addition to the Jessie Cole series. Reading about Jessie and her close relationship with Detective Colin Grayson, her schizophrenic assistant Zee and niece Olivia is like meeting with old friends and I can’t get enough of them. Once again Ragan has produced an action-packed thriller that I’ve been so involved in I’ve neglected the housework so I didn’t have to stop reading. It has a well-executed and exciting plot, loads of action, twists and turns, and a conclusion that left me open-mouthed with surprise. This is a gripping thriller, worth every minute given over to reading it, and I can thoroughly recommend it.

Well book lovers we finally reached the end of the Jessie Cole Series by TR Ragan. I didn’t want this series to end. This is one of my favorite Thriller/ Suspense series and Ragan has become my favorite Thriller writer.

Buried Deep has you on edge the whole time. It’s full of twists and turns, but more importantly ANSWERS. We finally get to know the truth about Ben Morrison’s missing events from his past.

Jessie Cole and Zee are once more trying to find a missing women, while Colin is investigating a murder. I absolutely love the way Ragan puts you inside the murderer head without letting you know who he or she actually is. It’s make the story more intense and intriguing.

Ragan has an impeccable writing style that gets you suck into each and every story. I still can believe this is the last installment on the Jessie Cole Series. I wanted more. Thanks to #netgalley and TR Ragan for the opportunity to read this advance copy.

Another nail biting, suspenseful installment in this series! This is book number 4 in the Jessie Cole series and I want MORE! Please say this isn't the last one?! There are a few different story lines going at once that are equally intriguing and suspenseful and had me tearing through the pages. I love Jessie and I especially love Zee and shall I say Francis, Marion and Lucy?! :) Ben's character adds much intrigue! I find his whole back story fascinating and love where the author took it at the end! More more more please!

Fantastic character development, intrigue, suspense and the fast pace of this book leaves this with 5 stars from me! I highly recommend this series and suggest you start with book 1.

A big thank you to Thomas & Mercer and NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book! I found this as a "Read Now" on NetGalley which made my day!

This is book # 4 in the Jessie Cole series and as much as I love this series if this is the final book in the series it would be a good way to end the series with this book. There is a couple stories going on in this book of course the Ben Morrison saga that keeps continuing( is he a murderer but can't remember because of his amnesia) which this book answers that question. Zee has her first case of finding a long lost mother for her daughter Penny and also Jessie has a missing persons case. Both cases are very interesting and different and Zee's case has a stunning conclusion . I like this series a lot and I would definitely read all the books in the series.

Conflicted...

That’s what I am.

Let me start by saying this series is good...and this author is so talented. And she literally stresses me out when I read her. No lie.

I love Jessie, she is fierce, so smart and a wickedly epic private investigator. The surrounding players in her books are unique & awesome. And this author has a way of weaving so many stories at once that collide in the end.

But the thread of story with Ben...well it’s killing me. I guess I’ll see what’s next...

Another nail biting, edge of your seat installment in the Jessie Cole series. I couldn’t read it fast enough. Jessie is dealing with multiple missing person cases and Ben is still struggling with his past. The more answers he gets, the more questions it leaves him with. I know I can’t wait to see what more he finds!

This is the fourth book in the Jessie Cole series and can definitely be read as a stand-alone. Veteran fans of this series may feel the narrative to be anticlimactic. While Ragan does an exquisite job of leading readers effortlessly through a shadowy plot that is told from multiple points of view, a good portion of story is spent giving in-depth contextual references to already established characters. This did cause a few stalls in the plot throughout but overall, the inherent conflict was a constant underpinning that pushed the story along. Ragan came up with multiple, unexpected subplots to follow throughout the narrative that all came together nicely by the end. All in all, there was a lot of reading for the little that happened to progress the series and its characters but as a stand-alone it hit the mark. 4 stars.

Thank you to #NetGalley for this ARC copy of #BurriedDeep

This is the fourth book in the Jessie Cole, PI series. It is recommended that you read the books in order, as there is a continuing back story.
Jessie Cole is a private investigator, based in Sacramento, California. A woman in her 30's hires Jessie to investigate the disappearance/death of her mother, from 30 years ago. The woman's father was initially tried and convicted of her murder, only to be released after spending 10 years in prison, due to new DNA testing. This family's secrets and lies will all come to the surface, now that Jessie and her assistant, Zee, are on the case.
In the meantime, Jessie is contacted by an attorney from out of state, asking for her help in locating an heiress. Lacey Gieger left home at the age of 16, never contacting her family again. She was not born Lacey, but Anne. She changed her name so that no one could ever find her. However, her grandmother has passed away, and left a lawge inheritance. The catch, Jessie must locate her in less than two weeks, or the inheritance is forfeited, and Jessie doesn't receive a $25k bonus.
But Lacey is missing, and not just from her previous life, but currently as well. It's a race against time and a disgruntled former employee, to find Lacey and her husband, Jason.
Ben Morrison is a crime journalist, who suffers from amnesia due to an accident. But the darkness of his past seems to be catching up to him, faster than he can handle.
This novel is well written, and a sure hit for this series. I recommend it to anyone who is a fan of JD Robb, James Patterson, Kendra Elliot, and Melinda Leigh; or anyone who appreciates a good thriller and mystery.

This was a fast paced addition to the Jessie Cole series.
I enjoy the main characters and am always eager to read their developments.
The character Ben continues to be the main draw for me to this series. Further details surrounding his mysterious accident ten years earlier come to light. Frankly I am eager for more. Though it sounded like the series finale, I am hoping Ben gets his own series.
Overall this book was a good read - yet some areas lagged. Not my favorite in this series but a solid continuation of the story.

this is the fourth book in this series. I have loved every one of the book. I really like the characters which is a big plus for me on reading any book lately. There have been quite a few books in the last year that I did not like the main characters, so, I just skim the book to see what happens in the end. This is a book I can recommend to all of my mystery lovers

Buried Deep is the fourth in this series and while it could be read solo a lot of back story will be lost in the interaction with crime reporter Ben Morrison and Jessie Cole. Lacey Geiger and her jerk of a husband Jason are kidnapped and buried alive. Luck just happens to intervene when Jessie Cole is hired to find the girl Lacey used to be. Discovering a backbone made of steel, Lacey will win your heart for her will of survival and her self awakening when put in an impossible situation and forced to face the truth about the man she married. Jessie hands a missing mother case over to her unusual assistant Zee. The client's mother is missing and her innocent father went to jail for it. Zee walks a fine line with the law as she investigates. Meanwhile Ben's amnesia still has him in its grip. When the girls' soccer coach accused of molestation winds up dead, Ben might just find out what he is made of. Jessie and Colin's love affair takes a back seat to the cases in this story but is still part of the underlying story. Each case by itself is interesting, all three cases taken together create a page turning and engrossing read that cannot be set down. My voluntary, unbiased review is based upon a review copy from Netgalley.

I love how this author effortlessly has no less than 6 POV/story lines going through out the book. You never at anytime lost or wondering whose head your in.

PI Jessie Cole ends up with two cases on her already fill plate. The first is a woman in her 30's who wants Jessie to find her mother who disappeared when she was a young child. The second case is an attorney asking her to locate a woman who went missing when she was a teenager as she is now the beneficiary of a large amount of money.

Jessie ends up turning the missing mother case over to her schizophrenic assistant Zee which is always a treat as along with the “friends” in her head its always full of humor with the situations she gets herself in.

Jessie's case of finding the missing beneficiary is a complex labyrinth. So many threads in this one.. Don't want to give to much away but it was twisted tale..

Meanwhile the pedophile coach story that was started in previous books takes a big turn. Both Colin, in a police capacity, and Ben Morrison, as a person of interest, are prominent here.

Everyone of those storylines comes to shocking conclusions. None more so than Ben's but I am used to the author torturing us with his story. Is the next book written yet??

Ragan never fails to deliver when it comes to compulsively readable material. I devoured this in one sitting and enjoyed the ride. My only complaint was that I felt there were too many story threads happening. If it was more focused on only one or two of the mysteries it could have been a bit more developed.
