I really couldn’t get into this book. I tried multiple times to pick it up and read it but I was just bored. Since I didn’t finish it, I’m going to give it a 3 star rating because I don’t think that’s fair to give more or less. Just didn’t grab me enough to want to keep reading it.

I did not post this review anywhere.

Really enjoyed this!
Honestly, this book wasn't as light and fluffy as others in the genre. Will and Thea are thrust together by a matchmaking great aunt, with the intentions of marriage. At their first meeting, they both say Marriage is not on the table. But end up becoming best friends in the process of figuring out how to keep Thea's estate and title without a particular ledger, lost/hidden by Thea's grandfather with dementia, before his passing. It was so enjoyable to read about their friendship. The non-romance aspect of the book was so interesting and well written as well. It kept me reading, even without the steamy romance! 👏🤗

This is the story of two good hearted people who become friends and then more. Thea is alone in the world and trying to prove she is the rightful heir to her childhood estate and title. Will is asked by his Aunt Stella (one of my favorite characters...hysterical!) to help Thea, to stand by her in court for support and even marry her if need be. Their friendship blossoms into love. Will they be able to prove she is the true heir and be able to stay together? I liked both characters, Thea naive and lonely, Will protective and supportive. They help each other grow. My only problem with this book was the title. To me Will was not a rogue.... he was the boy next door type who will always be there for friends and family. A gentleman. But besides that I loved the story, laughed and cried!

ROGUE MOST WANTED is the fifth book in Janna MacGregor's Cavensham Heiresses series. In the prologue, Janna MacGregor details Lord William Cavensham's first disastrous exposure to that disease called "falling in love". William's innocence is shattered along with his heart, and he throws himself into a life of purpose and hard work. It's extremely fitting that William should be thrown together with the heroine of this book. Lady Theodora Worth, the new Countess of Eanruig, is exactly the sort of woman that William deserves. The thing that brings them together is the same problem that threatens to keep them apart -- the odious new Duke of Ferr-Colby and his plans to strip Theodora of her title. This story is framed as a sort of fairy tale with true love struggling to conquer all in the end.

In so many stories, it's usually the hero who acts noble and performs all manner of good deeds. In ROGUE MOST WANTED, the hero is a very good man, but it's the heroine who has responsibility heaped upon her and acts for the greater good, almost at her own expense. I love a story with two main characters who are classic "good guys" and are easy to cheer on as they battle villains and try to do what's right. Thea struggles to honor the memory of her late grandfather by supporting and championing the tenants of the Ladykyrk estate. What she wants versus what she feels she must do tear her apart. There are plenty of friends and family members who try and act as Cupid and help this romance along. Will eventually fights to keep Thea, and Janna MacGregor floods every page with longing, enchantment, and passion. For all the angst that's abundant when Will and Thea are temporarily separated, their reunion is deliciously romantic and poetic.

ROGUE MOST WANTED has a noble heroine and a dashing hero who fights to give her a happily-ever-after. This is an enjoyable story about duty versus desire and two good people who are almost undone by their goodness. I hope Avalon and Devan get together in a future book. I'm not normally a fan of the "enemies-to-lovers" trope, but I'm curious to see if anything develops between them.

I really like this series. The love the family has for each other is great and you can feel it in all the books. Will has been hurt and afraid of love. But with a little help from his Aunt he finds the perfect girl in Thea. Thea needs help to prove that she is entitled to keep her estate. Will volunteers himself and his family to help. The story brings out so many emotions you really feel for both Will and Thea.

Oh my goodness. This book made me laugh and made me cry. Janna MacGregor is at her best again. I would have to say the Will and Thea are by far my favorite in this series so far. I am so excited that I got the chance to read this book! I look forward to any and all that come after in this series!!

Lady Theodora Worth spent the last seven years of her life sequestered with her beloved grandfather, the Duke of Ferr Colby; who had severe dementia. She protected him from the wagging tongues of the ton. Upon his death she has inherited an ancient Scottish title Earl of Eanruig and her beloved home of Ladykryk. (Scottish law allowed women to inherit land and titles.) However, the new Duke is challenging her rights as he wants to remove all the farmers and plunder the land for mineral rights. She must travel to London and fight for herself and her tennants. She is aided by Lord William Cavendish, the second son of a Duke and nephew to Thea's neighbor. Will has a history of being jilted, so he's trying hard to avoid relationships, so a "fake" betrothal ensues.
The story is interesting and the characters and sub characters even more so. There are enough twists to keep you guessing. I enjoyed the book and will seek out others by this author. i would recommend this book to others. I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was an AWESOME book!
So glad I read it, the last book in the series was not my favorite but this one was great :) Thea has to overcome some major obstacles due to some unforeseen circumstances. Her next door neighbor has the perfect solution, if she can just get her nephew to cooperate. The details in this story were great and made you feel like you really got to know the characters and their struggles. I would highly recommend that you put this one on your summer TBR list!
I volunteered to read this book from St.Martin's Press in exchange for my honest feedback, the thoughts and opinions expressed within are my own.

Lord William Cavensham- 2nd son, scorned by his young "true love " since he is unwillingly to love again. He is the Great nephew of Stella
Lady Theodora Worth- heir (under Scottish law) to her grandfather 2nd estate. -(Loved her character, moral backbone and inner strength )
I enjoyed reading this captivating story that has charismatic characters and sub characters (Loved Stella and Edith!). The beginning was great drew the reader in, and the middle more drama and a bit slow,, however the ending was great! Their HEA came slowly but it was wonderful and exciting!
**ARC was provided to me by Net Galley for a fair and honest review. **

"Rogue Most Wanted" by Janna MacGregor
You really do not want to miss this Regency romance story. It is well woven, and well written. It will have you smiling, maybe even chuckling, and it just may turn you into a watering pot, too. I received a free ARC from the publisher via NetGalley and this is my honest opinion of the story. Happy Reading.

I have become a huge Janna MacGregor fan!! While I dont read alot of Regency romance I've found a few authors that write intelligent, strong heroines...Ms MacGregor being one of them. Thea is fearless yet vulnerable. She became her grandfather's caretaker during his illness as well as the manager of his estate. After his death her claim to Ladykyrk is challenged and Thea needs to either find the charter granting her the title or marry in order to help her claim to it. Unfortunately because she has been isolated all these years she doesn't know how to navigate her way through society, nor does she know any available men. Enter Aunt Stella and her good friend Lady Edith. Aunt Stella is Will Cavensham's great aunt and she has decided Will and Thea are perfect for each other. What follows is a captivating, enchanting tale of love and heartbreak that will have you alternately laughing and wiping away tears as the entire Cavensham clan takes Thea under its collective wing. I found Thea very sympathetic and easy to like and Will is the perfect hero...protective and loving. His main concern is to be there to give her whatever she needs.
I loved this book and didn't want to put it down...I read it in a day. The Cavensham family is a delight and I look forward to more books about them...and hopefully we'll see Will and Thea again. Thank you to Netgalley for providing an early copy of Rogue Most Wanted to read and review.

This is the fifth book in the series but can be read as a stand alone book. A fun love story! I liked the different characters and their personalities. Love is a battlefield- no truer statement. Fighting for your happily ever after is well worth it.

This one snuck up on me. I’ve enjoyed many romances by this author, so opened the pages with high expectations. After a few chapters, my interest was waning a bit. It moves slower than I expected but once it picked up the pace, it proved itself to be yet another fabulous offering from Ms. MacGregor.

Surprisingly, I even found myself crying at one point. I think you’ll enjoy this romance. When you read Thea pouring her heart out, don’t be surprised if you too find yourself reaching for a Kleenex.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Adeline, the Dowager Countess of Wake is finally free to do as she pleases after her husband’s death. She has no desire to remarry ever. She is opening a school for girls and living the life she wants. Enter Lord Lyonwood, the next door neighbor who mistakes Adeline for a madam of a brothel. He’s met his match but she’s not interested in a proposal. Then she proposes another arrangement that he can’t refuse. A good read for fans of historical romance.

This was my first read by this author, and I truly enjoyed it. There was no predictable trope. The dialogue was witty, the heroine was strong, with an unconventionality that was completely plausible based on her upbringing. The evolution of a solid friendship into deep love for each other was poignant and profound. The obstacles faced by the couple were based on their own insecurities and misplaced convictions, and easily overcome. The intimate scenes were wonderfully written and filled with laughter, conversation and tenderness.

Rogue Most Wanted, is a great reversal roll story. This time it is Lady Thea who needs to marry to save her title. It's so obvious to us that Will is the only choice. It was fun watching Thea come to the same conclusion. The Cavensham's help in so many ways to get these two together.

Thea has inherited Scottish earldom from her grandfather upon his death. She is fighting Duke Ferr-Colby, who is claiming an English right to the title.

Will has had his heart broken and has vowed never to love.

These two people are brought together by great aunt Stella. She is Wills great aunt and was a friend of Theas grandfather. Thea turns to her with her estate problems and she sees a perfect matchmaking opportunity.

Unfortunately I just did not like this book. I found it extremely boring, throughout basically the whole thing. I’m not really sure where it went wrong. Perhaps the dramatic beginning made me think it would go in a different direction.

Will has a prologue about how hard he has become due to his hurt and betrayal, yet immediately does what he can do to help Thea. It implies he doesn’t really interact with women, like he’s cold and given up. At balls he spends time in the card room. Yet when he meets Thea he’s overcome with protective feelings about how he would not let her suffer. This in itself would be a wonderful thing if he didn’t repeatedly say ‘Cavensham men fall in love decidedly and completely’, and this was not it. It didn’t feel like love or infatuation . I guess it just didn’t add up with the character personality that had been built thus far. Perhaps if some interactions happened that has weaseled under his guard, but all they did as meet and she ate a jam tart.

Thea comes off as so innocent and naive due to her seclusion with her grandfather. She navigates how to act in society with Will and the support in his family. There are plenty of scenes that display how hesitant and nervous she is about every day activities like dancing and eating a formal dinner. However when it comes to interacting physically with Will once they cross that line, she’s the total opposite, more assertive. Again, nothing wrong with this, but I just felt like it didn’t fit her character.

Somehow I didn’t feel much tension or build with these characters. They fell a bit flat for me. Perhaps it was a personally conflict with me.

There are quite a few sweet scenes in this book. I enjoyed Thea’s dessert bond with Wills father. Great Aunt Stella was a wonderful addition to the story.

I really didn’t understand the downright nasty maliciousness of the scandal sheet that preludes each chapter. I have usually enjoyed when books include these things, but this was just mean and felt so out of place. I’m not sure if any of the other books included the Midnight Cryer so maybe I was missing something.

This is a part of a series but is fine as a stand-alone. I’m not sure how much insight you get to Wills character through the other books, but you do get to see a few married couples, that I’m assuming were the stars of their own books previously. You might have better luck with this book if you’ve read the series, I’m not sure.

I loved Thea and Will's story, it was a very fun read, with a couple of heartbreaking parts in the mix. It was great to see Will come around from his earlier heartbreak and realize he was able to fall in love. It was heartbreaking to watch Thea decide to give him up for the benefit of the people she is responsible for.

Good book. I'd not read any of the other books in this series but this might change now. In most of the story it was circumstances that was the problem rather than a dark villain. He seemed to turn up nearer the end to undermine our hero. I think if you had read the rest of the series you would enjoy the return of the other characters. The author wrote with great poignancy of the affliction suffered by the grandfather and how it had affected our heroine.

A passionate story which I think folk will enjoy.

I enjoyed this story. Thea is strong ad devoted. Will has a heart of gold. His family is simply wonderful. Their story has it's ups and downs...a lot of downs and I found myself in tears towards the end. Truly a lovely HEA.
