This is another fun volume in the Cavensham series by Janna McGregor. Thea and Will are a sweet couple, although I do think Thea falls in love with Will’s family as much as she does with him! This is a great book to read in a hammock with a summer’s breeze blowing!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Lord William Cavensham receives a cryptic message from his great Aunt Stella asking him to come to her estate immediately. Will is a workaholic; he manages several ducal properties and oversees the family’s financial matters. He adores his Aunt Stella and drops everything to travel to Payne Manor. Imagine his surprise when he realizes that Stella and her friend Lady Edith Manton want him to marry a complete stranger?
Stella and Edith’s matchmaking scheme immediately drew me into Rogue Most Wanted. Loved that they were planning the wedding by special license and the couple had never met! Pairing the workaholic, once jilted Will with the independent, sweet Thea appealed to me. I couldn’t picture Will with a debutante or Thea marrying for convenience. Rogue Most Wanted is a fast paced friends to lovers novel filled with captivating characters, love and friendship.
Janna MacGregor has a gift for creating one of a kind characters and putting them in impossible situations. I love that each of her characters has a backstory- an event that has shaped their personality and thoughts. Thea has led a very sheltered life. She has spent the last seven years taking care of her grandfather. She’s overseen the estate and knows each tenant personally. She never made her debut in Society and is in dire need of an etiquette class or two or three! Thea needs to prove that she’s the Countess of Eanruig to the members of the House of Lords. She must overcome her fears, self-doubts and travel to London. Will decided to focus on work after he was jilted 10 years ago. His priories are his estate books and his family. I enjoyed reading how Will and Thea’s friendship evolved. Each character needed to step out of their comfort zone, learn to trust each other and fight for their love. This part of the storyline—the give and take between both characters- was perfectly paced and made the romance believable.
Loved, loved Lady Stella and Lady Edith—they added lots of fun and perspective to the storyline. I hope they return in another of Ms MacGregor’s novels! The author did a fabulous job integrating the Cavensham family into the storyline. Loved the Duke of Langham’s note to Thea about heart’s desires and orange cream; it was the perfect touch. The conclusion had several twists and turns and held my interest until the very last page. I liked the hidden charter thread throughout the novel as it added a bit of suspense to the story. I enjoyed visiting with the Cavensham clan and was thrilled that Aunt Stella captured Will’s persona perfectly in her engagement present to the couple!
I highly recommend Rogue Most Wanted! A pair of matchmaking aunts, well-meaning family members and fairy tale romance between two people who had given up on love—make this book the perfect summer read!

This is the 5th book in this historical series but it can be read as a stand-alone. Thea is in need of a husband when her cousin tries to lay claim to her inheritance. Will was heart broken when he was younger and not looking for love. What will happen when sparks fly between these two. Fast-paced emotional read with plenty of drama. The characters have a lot of depth and the story really draws you in, I liked it.

Rogue Most Wanted by Janna MacGregor is another dazzling novel in this Cavensham Heiresses series. Once more I am led into a battle with a strong heroine leading the way. Then there's a handsome Lord who only has to meet with Lady Thea once and he's smitten. Finding her a suitor is easy. He wants to be hers. But working on winning her heart and helping her win her own legal battle will prove to be a handful. This couple had me wanting more. They were fresh, entertaining, bold, and funny. I love charming characters that can pull me into their story. These two did. I was on the edge of my seat wondering what would come between them and of the legal battle. Rogues are the most fun. When there's a beauty with brains and determination like Thea, it makes for a powerful historical read. Jana MacGregor has a way bringing her novels to life. I highly recommend this adventure to all. Romance, power, and wit all in one fabulous tale.

Will Cavensham is one of the nicer rogues a girl will ever find; after being bruised in love as a young man, he devotes himself to the family interests and is skeptical of love. But when an aunt asks him to help Lady Theodora Worth, whose right to inherit an earldom (in Scotland, it's allowed) is being challenged, Lord Will is up to the request. The unconventional heroine and this somewhat roguish hero, naturally, have to fight their unexpected attraction and work together to fight off a truly unpleasant duke. The story moves along quickly, but there is quite a bit of angst before the HEA — which you almost think will NOT happen — arrives. Janna MacGregor should be congratulated for writing such a lovely couple — two people trying to do the right thing, no matter what, even if they have to give up love. Happily, they don't, and their HEA is all the sweeter. (I received an ARC on NetGalley. Opinions mine.)

Rogue Most Wanted is book five in The Cavensham Heiresses. Lady Theodora Worth is alone in the world after her grandfather died. The Countess of Eanruig, Theodora has promised her grandfather to care for Ladykyrk Estate and all of its tenants. The new Duke of Ferr-Colby, her grandfather's heir, wants her title and her coal rich lands and challenges her in court. With no where to turn and out of her element, Theodora visits her elderly widow neighbor, Lady Stella Payne for advice. Stella immediately takes Theodora under her wing and offers up her favorite nephew as a marriage sacrifice. Lord William Cavensham is dead set against marriage after being jilted but offers up friendship to Theodora instead and vows to help her find a husband. The first half of this drags and drags as Theodora and Will declare over and over and over again how they are not going to marry each and every time his family mentions their nuptials. Eventually they cannot deny their attraction to each other and act as expected. After a bunch of more denials of marriage, the dastardly Midnight Cryer newspaper prints their engagement announcement. A fake engagement ensues and the evil Duke waits in the wings to steal her title or force her hand in marriage. The end becomes a hard fought HEA but Theodora eventually finds a backbone and Will comes up to snuff. This book would have been great as a novella without about fifty pages of "we're not getting marrieds" as it stands the end is a lot more enjoyable than the beginning and Theodora and Will's story ends on a sweet note that made the reading worthwhile. My voluntary, unbiased review is based upon a review copy from Netgalley.

TThis continues the Cavensham heiress series. In this one we have Thea who is all set to inherit her grandfather’s estate and title. She has given up the past seven years while her grandfather was sick. Will, who was jilted as a young man, has given up on love and devoted himself to taking care of his family’s estates. Now he agrees to court Thea who needs a husband to claim her estate. Of course, they’re going to fall in love, but there is an evil duke who wants Thea’s inheritance and isn’t above threatening her and her tenants to get it. The results are predictable, but still enjoyable to read.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

I'm not sure what happened to me and this book. I really liked the other two of the series that I've read. I thought the heroines were witty and snappy and the heroes were strong with a soft side for their ladies. I didn't feel as much for Will and Thea. He had almost wimpy moments. I respected Thea's respect for her grandfather and protectiveness of him.
For whatever reason, I had trouble getting into this book. I really can't pin it down as to exactly why, but I found myself reading it just to be reading it--not because I was dying to see what happened on the next page or in the next chapter.

I was lucky enough to get the ARC of 'Rogue Most Wanted' by Janna MacGregor. It is the 5th book in the Cavensham Heiresses Series. Thank you so much Inksliger PR for sending me this book because it was a delight to read this one!! I would totally rate this book a 4.5 star read!!

Synopsis:
Thea has inherited the title and estate of Ladykyrk, but now her grandfather's heir wants to challenge her claim and take it over! Her only option is to find a husband and get a betrothal before the hearing for the estate. Her elderly neighbour Lady Payne, on hearing about her problems, promises to help Thea find the perfect husband! William Cavensham has been burned in love before and cannot fathom his aunt's matchmaking. He is determined to help Thea, but not necessarily by marrying her. What follows is a story high on emotions, wit, humour and quintessential peerage problems!!

Review:
This is my first book by the author and I can safely say that I will be looking for the other books. I loved the fact that this book is a different take on the typical titled gentleman meets a sweet gentlewoman - because in this book it is Thea who has the title and Will who is the second son of a duke!
The best part about this book is the little excerpts of 'The Midnight Cryer' between the chapters... it totally reminded me of Lady Whistledown from Julia Quinn's Bridgerton Series but more like a nasty version of it!! I am a die hard fan of Julia Quinn's writing and this touch only made me love this book more!
The characters are built beautifully and their friendship (with bursts of unspoken lust) has been well crafted and the little mystery of the estate charter is taken nicely through the story along with the budding romance.
Will is a complete sweetheart and I love the fact that there was no need for a rake in this particular story. I mean I love a good reformed rake but this guy is just adorable and highly intelligent to boot (can you tell I have the hots for him :P)

I would totally recommend this book to anyone who wants a light and lovely read that is super sweet and still got all the feels!!

One can't say enough good things about Janna MacGregor's books. I have read so many of her books and I love every one of them more than the one before. They are written with such emotion and feeling that everyone just has to fall in love reading them. Thanks again for a fantastic book Janna!

I enjoyed this book so much and it was a nice change to what I usually read! Thea has been challenged by a male relative to keep the title she inherited from her grandfather. But along comes Will, who will try to aid her in her quest in search of her grandfather's papers. I do think that Lady Stella's meddling is great part of the storyline. I totally fell into this story watching them struggle to save her inheritance, as well as their feelings towards each other. I highly recommend this one!

Rogue Most Wanted is Janna MacGregor’s 5th installment in the Cavensham family’s story but can easily be read as a stand-alone. In this story, Lady Theodora Worth inherits the title Earl of Eanruig from her grandfather, the Duke of Ferr-Colby, upon his death. Under Scottish law she can hold the title and keep her family home and lands. However, in England women are not allowed to inherit titles so the new duke, her grandfather’s nephew, challenges her for the title. To prove she is the rightful heir, she must find the original title charter; however, her ailing grandfather hid it somewhere on the vast estate and she cannot find it.
Thea enlists the help of her neighbor, Lady Stella Payne, who lovingly coerces her great-nephew Lord Will Cavensham into helping Thea. He is told he will either marry Thea or Great Aunt Stella will disinherit him (she really is a lovely woman!). Thea and Will develop a bond in their attempt to fight the new Duke of Ferr-Colby but neither wants to marry.
What starts as a friendship and the need to work together to solve a mystery and prove Thea is the rightful heir, turns into a wonderful love story. Having been hurt before, Will fights the family tradition of Cavensham men falling in love “quickly, decidedly, and thoroughly committed”. While his brain may tell him he isn’t going to follow the tradition, his heart may have another say in the matter.
I loved Will and Thea’s story! The detailed writing had you immersed in the scenes, whether at the folly or in the salon. The writing included witty banter, humor and plenty of romance. The secondary characters were a lively bunch and an important part of the story: Will’s family becomes the family Lady Thea always dreamed of having, Great Aunt Stella and her best friend Edith are a hoot! I highly recommend the book – you won’t be disappointed!!
I received an advanced readers copy from the publisher through Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book and it was a pleasure to review it.

This book is part of series but it can be read as a standalone. I had no issues following it. The is book is about Lady Theo, who is a now countess since Scotland allows females to inherit the title. But she must fight to inherit it. Even though she is a lady, she grew up as a recluse with her grandfather in Scotland. Her neighbor suggest she should marry an English lord to help with the fight for her title. The neighbors nephew Will Cavensham should do. The story follows their story and the trial and tribulations of them falling in love. It will make you laugh and cry.
Buy the book, buy the series, you won’t regret it.

I was also lucky to be provided an advanced copy by Netgalley and the publisher St Martin’s press.

I adored this book so much! Will and Thea were absolutely perfect for each other! Although, I do think that Aunt Stella was the best character in the story! I always love when someone has the best intentions and meddles. I highly recommend this one!

This was a nice change from a lot of what I have been reading lately. In this book, the male, Lord William (Will) Cavensham, has a history where he was jilted by the woman he wanted to marry. The female character in the book, Lady Theodora (Thea) Worth, is the rare woman who holds a title in her own right by way of her grandfather—or, at least, is supposed to hold a title. A distant cousin, who has inherited the dukedom that has the title, is claiming the title along with the dukedom. Though she searches, Thea cannot find the paperwork to settle this mess, so, on the advice of her grandfather’s friend and neighbor, Lady Stella, Thea sets out to marry (and look harder). Next, Lady Stella, calls her nephew, Will, (yes, the Will from above) to come help out in this situation. Will is willing to help out but has no intention of marrying Thea. Thus, begins the romance/story.

I found the basic premise of the story, which is unlike most others, where the woman has experienced reject and the man is frantically trying to save a title or the property that comes with it, the roles were reversed. In addition, the author did not have Thea and Will immediately fall head over heels for each other. Instead the pair gradually got to know one another, learning mutual support as they each weather their own storms. This book has set the stage nicely for the next and subsequent books. Now all I have to do it wait for them to come. I received this form NetGalley to read and review.

Wanted: an engagement of convenience. Found: A noble suitor.

Raised on a remote Scottish estate by her adoring grandfather, Lady Theodora Worth has inherited an earldom as well as the land itself. But when an upstart duke challenges her claim to the title and the Ladykyrk estate, Thea is suddenly in need of a husband—in name, at least. An elderly neighbor with a thoroughly modern sensibility and a dashing great-nephew just might be the answer to Thea’s prayers. Except she has no intention of marrying the first man she meets. That would be utterly ridiculous.

It just can’t be him. . .

Lord William Cavensham is entirely too devoted to his family’s estate—ever since he was jilted as a lad--to wed, but he agrees to meet the woman his aunt has taken under her wing—and introduce her to possible suitors. But after just one meeting with beautiful, spirited Thea, Will is determined to help her reclaim her title. And even moreso, he can’t stop thinking that perhaps marriage to this bold, passionate woman may be the one thing he’s been missing all along?

I enjoyed this newest book by Janna MacGregor. It is not the best one I have read by her but it isn't bad.
I gave this book 3.75 of 5 stars for storyline and characterization and look forward to more.
I received a complimentary digital copy of this book to read. This in no way affected my opinion of this title which I read and reviewed voluntarily.

I enjoyed this story about Lady Theodora Worth, who inherited an earldom and land known as Ladykyrk from her grandfather. He passed away after a long illness that no one knew about and she took care of him, as well as everything else including the tenants since she was 18 years old. Everyone loved her and when a relative challenges her claim; she tries to find the document that gives her all the rights to everything due to Scottish law. Her grandfather hid it and she has no idea where. Lord William Cavernsham is totally devoted to his family but ever since he was jilted, he vows to never marry. He then meets Thea and is determined to help her reclaim what should be hers. I totally fell into this story watching them struggle to save what are hers as well as their feelings towards each other.

This was an engaging read. Two likeable characters in Lady Theodora and Lord William. Theodora had spent the last seven years isolated in Northumberland caring for her grandfather and looking after their tenants. She was loved by everyone who knew her. William has been unlucky in love but had a strong loving bond with his family and he helped them in many ways. Theodora also had a problem concerning her title and her estate. Theodora and William were attracted to each other but various circumstances were holding them back from declaring their feelings. There were times when I felt like saying, no! don’t do it! One thing that shone through this story was the way the Cavensham family all looked out for each other and had their best interest at heart. I received a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this for the most part!

I loved that the romance was sweet and simple. They became friends helping one another, and things progressed into something more. The first half of the book was how that friendship grew. But the second half didn't have the same pacing as the first - at least for me.

I felt emotionally invested in these two, and especially for Theodora! The rules of society back then are angering, and maybe this is what cause some of my disconnect for the book.

Overall, I enjoyed this story.
