Having thoroughly enjoyed the Eternity Springs series, I was happy to see Emily March starting a spin-off series. This story is set in Redemption, Texas and has many connections to the characters in Eternity Springs that we've all come to love, including Celeste Blessing. Although, Celeste has some stiff competition with her cousin Angelica who I think will feature prominently in Redemption and in future books.
Once again, Emily March has brought two wounded characters together that need to rebuild their own lives and hopefully move on to the next phase of their life together. Caroline has recently lost her husband and is trying to start over, while Jackson is trying to move past a bitter divorce and difficult custody arrangement. Neither is looking for love but they are both looking for healing.
This was a great start to a new series that promises to be as heartwarming and enjoyable as Eternity Springs.
I really enjoyed this book. I thought the chemistry was on point and look forward to reading more from this author.
Ms. March's spin-off from Eternity Springs was awesome. Jackson and Caroline's story was great. I'm really excited to read all of the Enchanted Canyon series. It was fun to see how all the characters from her past books get together. Kind of like a family reunion.
Jackson, fresh off a divorce and a nasty custody battle is down but not out. Caroline trying to find her way after the death of her husband. They made the perfect couple. The background characters were so much fun. Angelica Blessing, Celeste's cousin is quite the character total opposite from Celeste. This series is going to be so good. Look forward to the next book in the series.
I really enjoyed reading Jackson. Jackson meets Caroline shortly after arriving in Redemption to look over the properties he and his cousins recently inherited. They shared a warm camaraderie, but nothing more at that point as Caroline was married and grieving her husband’s Alzheimer’s, and Jackson was grieving the loss of his daughter during a custody fight.
Readers are also introduced to a strong cast of quirky, yet loving and supportive characters. A year or so after meeting Jackson, a widowed Caroline decides to start the next chapter of her life by moving to Redemption and opening a bookstore. This allows her to reconnect with Jackson. A series of challenges threaten to upend their relationship, but they hang tough to find their happily ever after.
I liked this book and I thought Caroline was sweet, but I didn't feel a strong connection to Jackson. For some reason, the Blessing cousins and personalities within Redemption reminded me of Gilmore Girls and Stars Hollow, where everyone helps each other, quirks and all. Not my most favorite book in the world but definitely one worth reading.
Loved this book. Jackson and Caroline are perfect from the first word. Having Celeste bring her magic to this is a wonderful set up. New friends , old friends, everyone gets into the act. Watch everyone grow stronger in Redemption.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I so enjoyed this sweet romance it was totally heartwarming, a lot of this was due to Jackson’s little daughter Haley.
And I liked being along for the rebuilding of Caroline’s life after she lost her husband and in on the inheritance Jackson and his brothers received, all in all it was such a good read but I did want to know a little more about how Jackson came out on all the song writing dealing his ex was making with him.
Love a good epilogue, I think this one will grab you!
Reading this book, I was transported to Redemption, a small town in Texas. The scenes are so vivid that I could visualise the whole thing and the history attached to it.
Jackson is one of the three McBride cousins. They have just inherited a gem of a property in a magical canyon in Redemption. They get together to explore the prospects of this property and what they come up with is astounding.
Caroline is a widow who decides to write a new chapter in Redemption. A place where she had a short visit before she was faced with a heartbreaking tragedy. However, she puts her big girl's panties on and decides that she has to move forward.
Jackson and Caroline have a brief meeting before she receives the most upsetting news. He treats her well and offers a helping hand even if they hardly know each other. When Caroline returns to Redemption to settle, she bumps into Jackson and they soon become friends. Even though neither of them is looking for love, there is an obvious attraction between them. Will Jackson's bitterness of his past outweigh their attraction or can they heal each other and restore their faith in love?
Even though Jackson is struggling with what's been dished out to him, he is very thoughtful and a perfect gentleman towards Caroline. There is a lapse where tragedy strikes, concerning his ex and his beloved daughter, but when he realises that he might have crossed a boundary, he sticks to his word and listens to his heart. Caroline is extremely patient and understanding even when doubts start to interfere with her common sense. There is a point when I thought that all was lost, but everything is turned around nicely to give a desirable and wonderful outcome. Despite all the heartaches, there are some light and fun moments. I loved this story even through the times when my heart was breaking. It's breathtaking!
I was kindly issued with an eARC from Netgalley and the views expressed are my personal opinion.
I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I love the Eternity Springs series, and I still want my very own Celeste Blessing. This was a fun, sweet and very relatable story. Caroline is so sweet, but shows some serious strength. You can read this as a standalone, but I highly recommend the whole series!

I'm bored. I don't care. Plus she's married and she loves her husband...what the feathers!??!?!?
This is the start of a spinoff series and the first book in the series and I could not be happier. I have loved everything Emily March has written and I Love d getting to know the residents of Redemption, Texas.
This is Jackson and Caroline’s story and I loved these characters. This is a true second chance , next life chapter story with residents from this town and the previous Angel Falls town all making appearances !
Don’t miss this great read !
Jackson is a small town story type of book that pulls you in. I felt like I was with Caroline and Jackson every step of the way in their relationship from friendship to love. Truly an enjoyable book.
I will say, the first chapter or two hits you with a lot of info and it is cluttered, I had to go back and reread it a couple time to get myself sorted out to continue the book but well worth the read.
Being transported to Redemption, Texas in this book is like finding a comfort level with people you wish were real and related to you!
A most beautiful read filed with laughter, tears and many joys! Emily March delivers a book that the reader just does not want to end--while eagerly awaiting another title!
Thank you so much for allowing me to read this title prior to publication--it was so thoroughly enjoyed!
Jackson is an outstanding western romance by Emily March. Ms. March has given readers a well-written book. I suppose this book is a crossover between this new series and another series by Ms. March. We meet delightful new characters while also getting a visit with characters from the older series. Jackson is a musician/songwriter that just lost visitation with his daughter when his cousin calls him to meet him in Texas. Caroline is struggling with the fact that her husband no longer knows her and to top it off, he's in love with someone else. Caroline and Jackson's story is packed with drama, humor and spice. I totally loved reading Jackson and can't wait for the next book in the series. Jackson is book 1 of The McBrides of Texas Series and book 16 of the Eternity Springs Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I loved the Eternity Springs series and am thrilled that this spin off brings back characters from Eternity Springs. This new series is set in in Redemption, Texas but has the same small home town feeling as her other series. I really like the characters and the emotion in the story. I thought the ending was perfect for this book
JACKSON by Emily March is a wonderful small town romance! It's heartbreaking and warm and funny! The story has all of one's emotions tied up. Emily March is a gifted storyteller!
I love this new series with many of the characters from the Eternity Springs series. This one is set in Texas Hill Country, between the town of Redemption and the ghost town of Ruin. The McBride cousins inherit a canyon that's claimed to be enchanted that lies about halfway in between. Caroline and Jackson meet in Redemption and sparks fly, but neither is ready for a relationship. Their story is poignant and powerful, and such a great read! I really enjoyed the tie-ins to Eternity Springs as well as the new characters in this Texas based series. Looking forward to reading more about the Redemption/Enchanted Canyon crew.
Jackson is one of three cousins that inherit a canyon ranch. They have to find a way to make it profitable to pay the taxes. They visit and fall in love with it. Jackson has idea and manages to develop a campground and B & B. Meets a casual friend and loves developes. You'll want to watch for the next story of enchantment.
An awesome way to connect series! If you loved the Eternity Springs series you'll love this series as well.
Emily does a fantastic job of intermingling the characters from both series.
Stupid judges.
Poor Celeste! Although, I wouldn't put it past her to command a fever-onset just to get Caroline onboard.
Witch.
Over a Super Bowl?
I need a great-aunt.
It's like a racy chicken-or-the-egg scenario.
Okay, so he doesn't know his own strength. That doesn't mean he is a dangerous parent.
They are both starting over. That's nice.
Really, who says no to fried chicken?
He still hasn't seen his daughter? I thought it was only six months.
Angelica is just as much fun as her cousin.
I'm glad he didn't change the dance hall.
I love that song, but I had no idea it was Bach.
Oooh, why did you really move away, Boone?
I love Angelica. She is so smart!
Just when things are going well...
This is so scary. I hope Haley is alright.
Idiot man.
That is one crazy woman.
Gillian is better off.
I'm glad Sharon and Caroline like each other.
