Great story! Captivating!
I truly enjoyed reading Shepherds and Lambs. The storyline kept me interested until the very end, as did the characters and their interactions.
Can't wait to read more from this author.
Grace is a strong woman, well-educated and self-sufficient. When Special Agent Wolff from the FBI shows up at her farm, he arrives with the news of her father’s death which they think is a murder. Grace’s life is thrown into a conundrum. She needs to go back to the one place she never wanted to go back to “The Glen”. Detective Wolff is accompanying her as her pretend boyfriend; they both can’t deny the physical chemistry that is sparking between them. The Glen has had some notable changes and Grace needs answers. She has always known that her father has been the Cult Leader, a Shepherd to his flock, and that the cult has some hidden secrets. The acting Shepherd, Cord Monteverde is holding valuable information but he will only help Grace if she comes back to The Glen, as his lamb and follows the procedures that are required of her. Grace develops feelings for both of these perplexing men. However, it seems that both men, while attracted to her also have ulterior motives. Grace needs to understand her father’s legacy and she is hoping to find out more about her own history. Can Grace be a lamb to Cord, or was she destined to be more? The story is told from Graces POV and you will admire this incredible, strong and intelligent woman. Being the daughter of the deceased Cult Leader seems to be causing problems for her and she is finding it extremely difficult to find an ally amongst the flock of lambs. Ms Rey has done it again; she has given us a book, a story that is thrilling, interesting and so much more. I can’t find the right words to tell you just how exceptionally talented this author is and how brilliant this story is. It will hook you; it’s gripping, and a real page turner. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED READ
