Very complex family secrets, that put Alissa and Bea in danger, a well wrtten book very in-depth without being slow, they all have secrets but Bee is the Only one who Can Save Alissa yet Bee as to pay a price. No spoilers from me, I was transfixed by the book, just knowing how far people go to protect their secrets beyond anything else. Yet keeping such secrets could cost someone their life and more. Some hard hitting facts in the secrets that they are trying to keep. In parts it’s appalling in others it’s heartbreaking. Most of all without Bee trying to get to some of the secrets, without anyone knowing, she overheard a few things but when asked about them, again she’s pushed aside. She needs to find out before the devastation of Alissa and Bee, to Stand a chance...... I would love to tell more, I just will not or even hint at spoilers. If I had to read spoilers. Personally I would not want to read any book. This one you must read, I genuinely think although it’s in the dark side it opens your mind so much to human nature of selfishness. With many more aspects of people especially family. Who really are so selfish in one word Brilliant

Bree and her little sister Alissa are neglected by their parents, which is one of the reasons why Bree has always looked out for her. After a fight one day, Alissa goes missing and Bree will do anythings to find out who has her sister. This brings up family drama and past issues that will keep you turning the pages!
I enjoyed this book, although the ending left me wanting a bit more to tie everything up in a neat little package.
Thanks to Erik Therme, Bookouture and NetGalley for the ARC of this book.

This is the second book I’ve read by the author, I loved Keep Her Close, it was one of those perfect binge worthy thrillers that you read in one sitting because it’s just so damn intense and fast paced that you can’t put it down until you finish. This one had that same great sense of urgency that kept me flipping pages but also really explored familial bonds and how they can have such a great impact on our lives and I really enjoyed that aspect, it brought something new and thoughtful to a really exciting story.

Since this was such a snappy, quick read I really don’t want to discuss the plot details at all, but I will say that this went in quite a few unexpected directions and most definitely kept me on my toes. I don’t always connect (with any sort of depth) to characters in a thriller, but I did feel invested in Bree, she’s had a rough life and really hasn’t ever been able to count on anybody but herself and that’s just such a sad way to live that I couldn’t help but be drawn to her. In her race to find and save her sister you learn about her life and that’s where the emotional component came into play. I’m always pleasantly surprised when a thriller can make me feel something besides fear, etc and this one definitely tugged on my heartstrings. Recommended as the perfect read to devour over a weekend, it’s pretty addictive and has one hell of a shocking resolution.

I Know You in three words: Compulsive, Twisty and Absorbing

This is more a 3 1/2 star read for me. If you would have asked me what my review was 2-3 chapters before the end it would have been 4 stars but the ending fell short for me, it was a bit head scratching and anti-climactic for me. It started off as a good page turner but just lost me in the end. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it either

Bree's sister Alissa goes missing and her brother seems to be the one to blame. This trailer park family is supposed to be about sticking together and being there for each other, but they show none of those values. The father is abusive, the mother is absent most of the time, the brother is selfish and only cares about himself, and the missing sister is just a lost soul in the mix. It felt like a lot of this book was tell and not show 😕.
The wording used in the text was basic. And phrases like "creepy meter" were cringy. Another issue is the over explaining of things like: ..."or burner phones, as they were often called in the moves..." to explain what a disposable cell phone is. There were several examples of a wordy, unnecessary explanation of something. Such as, "Splitting up would have allowed them to cover twice as much ground, but since the moped headlight was their main source of light, they had to work together." This is long and wordy and over explaining. And it happened often in the book. I was able to skim through whole pages and still get the gist of what was happening,
One particular description of a male was a bit strange. He is described as having "wrinkles around his eyes" that "suggested that he was at least in his mid-twenties." When I think of a guy in his mid-twenties, I do not think wrinkles around the eyes! Mid-twenties is way too young for that kind of description.
I didn't have any emotional connection to any of the characters. I can't really say if any of them were likable or not because I don't feel like I got to know any of them well enough.
The plot felt more lifetime movie, less thriller. The PG-13 way that the ending was handled left much to be desired. Honestly, I still don't know that reason that Alissa was taken. I mean, I know the reason, but was left to wonder to what end. I still don't understand what the end goal was for this abductor. It was all a bit abrupt and glazed over. It seemed that the abductor had no agenda but to play games with Bree and her family. Which is ironic, because his stepdaughter literally states the he "doesn't lie or play games". I actually rolled my eyes at that one.
There were a few decent action scenes. But that was about it.
Overall, this thriller was not well done.

I love a good psychological thriller and I haven’t read nearly enough for the year since I was doing reading challenges. So I’m glad I got this book when I requested it. Its a really fast paced psychological thriller and even better that this one focused a lot on family relationships. The characters all seemed so realistic and well written. Actually, I loved the writing style in general and just how much punch was packed into a relatively short book. I figured out a couple of the twists but a few did surprise me. I licked it up in under a day and I’d totally recommend.

My second book by this author and once again he had me captivated from the start.Once you open this book, it's impossible to put it down, because you are so under its spell, you just have to keep on reading.

I loved the way the author build up the tension and had me totally flabbergasted by the way he pulled off a heartstopping twist at the drop of a hat.

Sometimes you do not realize that something rather innocent you have done, can have such huge consequences, not only for yourself but for those close to you. When you get the opportunity to right the wrong, you end up by making it worse, much worse ...

In my opion this is a bum-glued-to-the-chair kind of story. 5 stars.

Thank you, Erik Therme, Bookouture and Netgalley.

I wanted to like this book.
I didn't like the characters, they seem under developed and too much was explained in the dialogue instead of showing us what happened. Which also made the dialogue seem unauthentic.

The story was okay, the twist was unexpected, but also seemed to come out of nowhere.

If you like a good mystery/thriller you may like this one, it just wasn't for me.

I Know You by Erik Therme is a psychological thriller.

First, let me thank NetGalley, the publisher Bookouture, and of course the author, for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

My Synopsis: (No major reveals, but if concerned, skip to My Opinions)
Bree Walker seems to be the head of her family. Her Mom is working constantly to try and make ends meet, but it’s not enough to pay for three children and the trailer they live in. So Bree, even though smart enough to go to college, stayed home, and went to work. Now 26, she’s still living at home and helping out with the finances, and laundry, and meals…. Her 23 year-old brother Tyler, usually unemployed, makes occasional appearances for meals, or a place to crash for a day or two. Her sister, 16-year old Alissa, is a typical needy teenager, angry with the world and how unfair it is. Their father, an abusive alcoholic, has left for the last time – hopefully.

When Bree gets a text from someone saying that they have kidnapped Alissa, Bree sets out on a wild journey to bring her sister home. Along the way she is dogged by Alissa’s best friend Liz, who insists on helping, and may know more than she is willing to admit. Tracking down her brother Tyler is almost as hard as finding her sister.

It quickly becomes apparent that the kidnapper is hell-bent on revenge. Bree is unsure how much she will sacrifice to get her sister back.

My Opinions:
This book is about families, and about how relationships within a family can differ, and change over time. How families will pull together in times of need. The author created realistic characters and the rapport and/or dysfunction between them rang true.

It’s a fast read, as the suspense keeps the reader interested in getting to the outcome. However, the ending seemed rushed, with a few characters outcomes left up in the air. I guess I’m one of those that need to know what happened to everyone. I hate guessing.  As well, although not touted as YA, it could be.

There were a few unexpected twists to keep the intrigue working.

Overall, a good book.

Nicely done thriller about a sister who has forsaken herself to care for an protect her younger sister and brother- and then that's thrown into an uproar. Alissa and Tyler have been the focus of Bree's world and now Alissa is missing and there's a mysterious and threatening note. This family has deep issues and all of those coming spooling out slowly as Bree hunts. What's Tyler's role in all this? Why won't Bree pay more attention to Liz, Alissa's friend (because she should). Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A good fast read with an interesting twist.

I Know You was a book I was looking forward to reading but although the storyline was solid the writing let it down slightly.
Bree and Allissa are sisters, Bree is the eldest by quite a few years and doesn’t she know it as her father is an alcoholic and her mother being out at work every hour god sends means that she basically looks after her younger brother and sister and for this I felt very sorry for her as Bree had no life of her own. Allissa has disappeared when we get into the first few pages of the book and after a strange text Bree has to find her brother and exchange him for her sister.
There were a couple of twists along the way and the perpetrator to the kidnapping wasn’t blatantly obvious so that was good but unfortunately it the story didn’t quite click with me, I’m sure an awful lot of people will, I think this is just me.
I would like to thank Netgalley and Bookouture for this ARC I received in exchange for an honest review.

I can't say that I cared for this book all that much. I felt that I could have put it down at any time and walked away without a second thought. It just wasn't interesting to me and it was also a bit farfetched. I forced myself to read the whole book and when I got to the end, I wish I'd stopped earlier. It's not a book that I would recommend.

Genre: Domestic Psychological Thriller

Synopsis: Bree is the older sister who under the life of a dysfunctional family is the one that practically takes care of here siblings. The story revolves around the kidnapping of his sister Alissa in exchange for her brother Tyler and the secret that he keeps. The story of the that in a unstable environment they struggle to get ahead. The race for the rescue, the reasons and the outcome.

Review: A domestic psychological thriller. The story is in fast paced simple and well written content. It’s not my kind of novel ,for some reason I could not connect with it. It did not capture my attention nor did I fall in love with it subject and content; for me it was predictable and without imagination. I forced myself to read it in entirely just to give my humble opinion. I recommend and it will be excellent for suspense beginners and for those who want a short story.

My opinions are honest and entirely my own.

Alissa ran away again. It's not the first time and so at first Bree isn't worried. That's until her backpack and a note pop up on her porch and mysterious texts start coming in. Now Bree knows it's not only her sister in trouble, but her brother is being threatened as well. Now Bree is in a race against the clock to save her family.

This book was a wild ride from page one. It kept me deeply enthralled from the beginning. Its action packed and kept me guessing and wanting more. I feel for Bree who is just trying to make it day to day. Now shes racing against the clock to save her family from what? Someone has her sister, someone wants her brother, it's up to her to figure it out.

The writing in the story was awesome. I read most of this book in one sitting because I hated to put it down. It was fast paced and I promise it's worth the read.

What a fantastic read. This had me turning the pages so quickly wanting to find out what happened next. Lots of twists and turns and a brilliant ending. I was trying to second guess the plot, thought I had it, only to find out I hadn't. I really warmed to Bree. She showed such maturity at a young age coming from a very dysfunctional family! I had never read anything by this author before this novel, but I certainly now want to read more. Such a great writer. Easy to read. Great storyline. Great characters. Lots of emotion. Loved the style of writing. Thank you so much for the chance to read an advance copy from netgalley.com

This book was interesting. It follows Bree as she searches for her missing 16 year old sister. The Walker family struggles financially. The mom works two jobs and Bree has been working since she was 16 to help provide for the family. After Bree and Alyssa get into a big fight, Alyssa leaves and goes missing. Who has her? Will Bree find out who and why someone took her sister?

I Know You is a fast paced suspenseful read. I enjoyed the twists and turns the author puts the reader through while keeping them glued to the page.

Getting the backstory on the family was interesting and seeing how they rely on each other through thick and thin. Also the abductor wasnt predictable which I appreciated.

I’m interested to read another if this authot’s works. Read I Know You, it will keep you on the edge of your seat!
