It has potential!

Sam was supposed to bud on her friend’s brother at a bachelor auction. Oooops! She bid and won in the wrong bachelor, Taylor! The two both had preconceived opinions of the other, but as the spent time together, they learn they were very wrong, and they are very compatible. I wasn’t a big fan of the extended date. Who doesn’t want their own things, especially their cat! As a cat lover, I was particularly upset that Sam was willing to leave the poor thing with very little thought! And what about all the other aspects of their lives?

This book had a fair bit of humour which I truly enjoyed. It has potential for me, if only a few aspects were tweaked.

Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review an ARC of this book and I am providing my honest review.

This was a new author to me.
Samantha is at the charity auction to help her friend Izzy and agrees to bid on Izzy brother. She is surrounded by a crowd that used to be her scene before her parents had some indiscretions. Now she works to redeem herself by working as a social worker and agreed to do a favor for her friend. Taylor is a wealthy businessman who has worked hard to get where he is at and agrees to this charity auction. Samantha can’t believe she didn’t bid on the right one and is immediately put off by Taylor's attitude. At first both parties judge each other without giving each other a chance. I did have a hard time connecting with the book and its H and h. While the banter between the two was good and parts of it did drag a little fore me. I did find Samantha was a bit stubborn but, that didn't take away from the story line. In all it was an ok read.

An Accidental Date with a Billionaire by Diane Alberts is an enjoyable read.

I enjoyed watching the relationship develop between Taylor and Sammy, they had great chemistry and both were likable/entertaining characters.

Overall a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon, I highly recommend this book.

I really liked the blurb for this book and was excited to start reading it. And I enjoyed the first few chapters. But soon the story veered off and I started enjoying it less and less. I couldn’t connect with either of the characters. The author made them just too perfect. Sam, the daughter of a disgraced couple who cheated people out of their money, and Taylor, the billionaire who made his way from nothing but still remembers his roots. They both have a policy of only going out with a person once, so in order to continue seeing one another they decide to “extend” their date. This is pretty much where the book really lost me. I cannot imagine anyone simply moving in with another person whom they have only just met, regardless of the chemistry between them, just to maintain a silly illusion. Plus, Sam has a cat, whom she apparently has no emotional connection to since she’s more than willing to let the poor thing all alone with only her neighbor to check on it. She won’t even go back to her place for clothing or personal items, because that would end the “date,” so Taylor simply buys new things for her. It was just way too far-fetched and ridiculous for me. And I kept worrying about the cat! Sigh.
Note: I received a copy of this book from the publisher in return for an honest review.

I have just come to accept that I love Diane! This book could be described as Insta-love and that was a-okay by me! The initial connection of Taylor (how hot is that name?) and Sam was felt and by 6%, I was getting butterflies in my stomach.
Taylor grew up poor, while Sam grew up rich. Taylor had a single mom after his dad died. Taylor had both parents. Once they grew into adults, Taylor made is life mission to never be hungry again and fought to get to the top. Taylor vowed to never take life for granted, never have the temptations of money again.
The two characters were SO similar, and so different, I found myself getting frustrated at them! I do feel Diane could have dug a bit deeper and gave us just a bit more raw feelings and thing book would have EXPLODED your heart and mind!
Perfect read if you have a day, or weekend free and you are needing a growling cave man who crumbles to his love!

I enjoyed this fun, sexy, romance that starts with a case of mistaken identity but turns into a real relationship! Sam think she's bidding on her best friend's brother at a bachelor auction, but it turns out she's gotten herself a date with hunky, hardworking and wealthy stranger, Taylor. They are both no commitment types but they hit it off on their 'date' and end up not wanting it to end, thus ensuring that they'll spend lots of time together before having to decide whether to change their stances on relationships. Sexy scenes ensue. Things are complicated by Sam's past, her feelings about money (which Taylor has lots of) and by her job, which is in direct opposition to Taylor's. She tries to save small businesses while he is in the world of corporate acquisitions. Despite some of their philosophical differences they find common ground and get their happy ending in this insta-love romance. It was nice to see the Habitat for Humanity charity featured, and the emphasis on Sam's other charitable works. I've enjoyed Diane Alberts' writing in the past and am happy to see this new release from her!

Sam bids on the wrong bachelor at the auction and ends up with Taylor. After his attitude to her when they first meet, she decides their first date will be something unusual and not what he is expecting. Neither of them want the date to come to an end, surprising them both and going against their one-date policy.

First book I heave read by this author but looking forward to more!

Samantha has spent most of her life trying to make up for the things her parents did. She went from being rich to only keeping the money she needs to survive while donating the rest of her money and her time to a wide variety of charities. She has no interest in dating any man who has a bunch of money but when her best friend asks her to bid on her brother at a charity bachelor auction, she can hardly refuse. Too bad she is too busy signing up for Habitat to Humanity to realize she bids on the wrong man.

Taylor thinks he can throw money at any girl and she will do his bidding. He isn't looking for a relationship but he certainly isn't expecting a woman like Samantha to make him reconsider what he thought he knew. She decides their date will consist of Habitat for Humanity followed by the soup kitchen. She doesn't expect him to go along with it.

The rules of the auction state that the date ends once the woman is returned home. Since neither Taylor nor Samantha do second dates, he comes up with a plan to extend their date; as long as Samantha doesn't go home, then they are still on date one. But as things progress, will they be able to end their date?

I really enjoyed this book. Samantha bothered me at times because although she wanted to give back all that she could, she had a preconceived notion about how all people with money act. It came across as a "holier than thou" attitude at times and I don't like that. That's really my only issue with this book though. I'd highly recommend it to romance lovers.

in an accidental date with a billionaire, samantha matthews has tried to leave all the trappings of wealth behind. hanging out with the high society types who rejected her when her parent's duplicitous behavior was revealed is not her idea of a good time. she's intent on not letting money change who she is, and since learning about all the hurt her family caused, she's been paying it back. one good deed at a time.

when her best friend begs her to attend a charity gala and bid on her brother, sam agrees reluctantly. except to her horror, she's bid on the wrong guy. a rich jerk whose disinterest in the whole thing couldn't be more obvious. so she decides she's going to teach him a lesson.

taylor jennings may play the role of mr. moneybags to perfection, and it's true that he's been more involved in playing that role than his real self of late, but the chance encounter with the woman who didn't want to buy his date throws him off. while he's not interested at first, her prickly demeanor quickly intrigues him. and when he realizes she's brought him to a habitat for humanity site he's happy to pitch in. he used to give back all the time, and he's gotten so wrapped up in himself that he has forgotten to pay attention to the small things.

their charity date is over when he brings her home. but what if he just doesn't?

he's not ready to stop exploring the connection they share. she makes him better in all these small ways, and he lets her focus on herself in a way that allows her to not feel selfish. but it's a challenge for them to stay out of their ingrained habits. at some point, this date has to end. they have to go back to their real lives, especially since on paper they are not at all compatible.

but what if they find a way to make all those opposing ideas, complementary ones instead. because the truth is, they might just balance each other out.

**an accidental date with a billionaire will publish on april 8, 2019. i received an advance reader copy courtesy of netgalley/entangled publishing (indulgence) in exchange for my honest review.

A delightful story of not judging a book by it's cover, learning to trust and when to put your heart on the line. This book physically gave me chest pains, but I wouldn't change a minute of it! When Samantha Matthews tries to do a favor for a friend, the life that she's tried so hard to leave behind, comes back to haunt her. Accidentally bidding on the wrong man, leads to a date she'll never forget.

Samantha Matthews wants nothing to do with wealth or the lifestyle it breathes so she's the most surprised of all when she ends up on accidental date with billionaire, Taylor Jennings. Despite the odds, Taylor and Samantha hit if off, but since neither of them believe in second dates they just...never end their first. For days. Someone sign me up for that life.

This was a fun, whirlwind of a romance that I loved reading.

This was the last place Samantha/Sam wanted to be. Nine out ten times, people like the ones around her were concerned only with money. She’d been one of them. Than Samantha walked away from her life of wealth and luxury. Sam’s best friend Izzy texted her three hours ago , begging Sam to bail her out. Izzy was eloping with her boyfriend and her family didn’t know it. But she had previously promised to attend this charity auction fundraiser and bid on Izzy’s brother- Andrew. Izzy’s brother finally comes on stage, even Sam admitted even though he wasn’t her type he was hot even though he was way too sure of himself. Sam wom the “date” with a three thousand dollar bid. When Sam went to the cashier she found out Andrew had needed to go first and had already left with his date and now she had to pay and go on a date with Taylor. Than Sam said she didn’t want to go on a date with Taylor but something about her drew himinSam said she wanted a full date after paying three thousand dollars. He was to pick her up at her apartment at nine A M the next morning and to dress casual. For the first time in years Taylor’s well oiled world had a monkey wrench in it. Taylor had no idea what tomorrow would bring and he was shocked at how much he like the prospect and the woman. Sam thought that man was as frustrating as he was attractive. Their date was to help build a house for the poor. Sam had grown up rich. But when her parents had stolen money from their company and employees and were sent to jail Sam had been shunned. She’d been seventeen in her senior year and about to go to college. But she had to give up her Ivy League college acceptance because she couldn’t afford tuition. She’d lost everything all at once. No one would ever be allowed to hurt her like that again. She wouldn’t waste her time forming relationships that would fall apart. Taylor said he’d been poor and to succeed in his world you had to be cutthroat, confident, ruthless. Sam asked Taylor what he did and he said he acquired, consolidated businesses. Sam was talking to her buddy-Lisa- at the sight they were volunteering at. Lisa mentioned she called Izzy but she didn’t answer. Sam hoped she was okay. No one had liked Don- the guy Izzy was marrying. Sam said there was something about Don that felt...off. But Izzy didn’t see it. Sam thought how Taylor could easily be People’s “ Sexiest man Alive.” It had been about a year since Sam had bought a man home. Even though Sam didn’t do relationships she usually took time to go out on a date here and there. Sam had a strict rule about life - she didn’t take chances or make bad decisions that would come back and bite her in the butt. Taylor told Sam he wanted to know her and that was huge for him. Than he asked her out to dinner - a real date- and she said yes. Taylor prided himself on never losing his way, acting impulsively or losing control, at any time . At a young age he learned to hide his emotions. Taylor wanted tonight to be different than the others. Sam was special, one of a kind. Somewhere between between dinner and getting to his home he decided that he wanted to spend more than one night with Sam. He just couldn’t figure out a way where she wouldn’t go home so the date wouldn't end. She wanted a screaming organism, he’ give her that. He put her in a new category and it had strict rules he wouldn’t get off. Not tonight . never had Taylor been so turned on by a woman during a single kiss. They had been together for a week. Sam knew she should end things and walk away. Even now lying naked and satisfied next to Taylor she wanted nothing more than to whisper her secrets to him, to open up to him in ways she never had to anyone else. But than Sam and Taylor got into a bad fight and she got out of bed got dressed and left. The date was over.
I loved this book. It had the insta attraction but that can happen. I loved Sam and Taylor together and how they interacted together. I loved the plot and pace of this book. I loved Izzy’s and Sam’s relationship and how protective they were of each other. I loved how Taylor- for the first time in his life- wanted the girl-Sam- for more than one night. I loved the ending . I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

An Accidental Date with a Billionaire is the all new stand-alone novel by Diane Alberts. This was my very first book I have read of Ms. Alberts, and after reading the blurb I knew I had to read it. An Accidental Date with a Billionaire was a wonderfully written story that was sweet and enjoyable.

Trying to help a friend out at a charity auction, Samantha winds up bidding on the wrong man. With just looking at him she already can’t stand him. She knows exactly how his type is-the billionaire playboy with no substance. But man oh man does Taylor show her how wrong she was…

I absolutely adored this story! The way the characters both grow throughout the entire book, really made the story. I loved the plot and it flowed very well. Looking forward to reading more from this author!

I loved this one. Sam and Taylor are amazing. I highly enjoyed the changes in Taylor throughout this one. Sam has an amazing heart and soul when it comes to her charity work. She brings out the better in Taylor. Taylor is so swoony. If you love Billionaire romances you really need to check this one out. Who says first dates really need to end. The chemistry between Taylor and Sam is so hot. I love what Diane Albertson gives us with An Accidental Date with a Billionaire. Go one click this one.

This was my first time reading Diane Alberts and I really enjoyed this story. I'm not going to rehash the blurb, but I will say that Sam seems to be on a mission to save the world by living her life as a way to atone for the sins of her parents. On the one hand, I understand her reasoning behind her actions, but on the other I felt like she was being a martyr; I get that she felt bad for all of the material possessions she used to have that came from the money before her parents' crimes and fall from grace and her choice to not let money and material things rule her life anymore, but she seemed to judge Taylor for having the commas in his bank account, and does what she can to keep him at arms length.

I liked that Taylor wasn't born into money and is instead successful with his company and has gained a healthy bank account to show for his hard work and determination. He's intrigued with Sam at the start of the book because she doesn't fall for his charms or his money. The more time he spends with Sam, the more he falls for her, because she'll call him out when needed, and she makes him want to be a better man.

Sexy and heartfelt, An Accidental Date with a Billionaire is the perfect beach read. Throughout much of the story, the H and h live their lives together, hampered by the restrictions of long held coping mechanisms. The real beauty of this story is found in witnessing them serve and grow closer as love sneaks in. I enjoyed it!

I received an ARC of this book, from the publisher, via NetGallery, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Taylor started out working class and is now rich, Samantha started out rich and now works hard and volunteers every chance she gets. After a mix up at a charity date auction, she ends up on a date with Taylor.

Their initial connection is based a lot on physical attraction, but I liked the emotional bond they forge as they spend time together. Taylor, especially, puts in a lot of effort to get to know Samantha and to participate in activities she loves.

While this wasn't my favorite from Entangled, it ended up being a fun, quick weekend read!

Sam carries a lot of weight on her shoulders due to her parents’ negligent ways. She has worked hard in a new city to build a life she is proud of helping businesses rebuild to avoid being taken over. She ends up at a bachelor auction for her friend Izzy to rescue her brother from the auction block. When she wins her intended bachelor, well, she is shocked to learn she bid on the wrong man. Taylor hates these auctions but does believe in helping various charities. He is surprised by the woman that won him in the auction and the date she sets up surprises him even more. But he has the last laugh as he digs in and works which isn’t what Sam expects. Now, Taylor buys failing companies and sells the parts. Given that they are on opposite sides in the business world, do they have any chance at love? Sam doesn’t think she is worthy; can Taylor break down her walls? Sam and Taylor are a great match, they passion for what they do along with their philanthropic endeavors were a joy to experience. Sam is amazing so I was pushing for Taylor to break through and convince her love is possible. These two took me on a fabulous journey for love. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

I truly loved this book! I ate it up and before I knew it, I had reached the end. I was left wanting more in the best way. It's been a while since I've gotten that from a romance novel and this book delivered.

I loved how these two characters were together. I feel like this author did a wonderful job at revealing everything and it didn't feel like instalove, which is an issue that a lot of romance novels tend to have.

I'm so glad Entangled allowed me to read this book early for review. I can't wait to read more from this author.
