am not a fan of your typical second chance romance books, but this is so different. I loved every moment of this one. I just love Griffin and his big heart. Ren is amazing also. She's funny as can be. I was laughing out loud from the very beginning.

The more I read from Meghan Quinn, the more I love her writing. I think it gets better and better with each book she writes. I find myself laughing so much and just falling in love with the characters!
That Second Chance was the perfect, small-town romance and it was filled with heart and soul

I'm definitely in the minority, but I didn't love this book. I liked it, and the town, family and friends were all great. But Griffen's belief in and reaction to the curse were just too unbelievable for me. And the withholding of info was rediculous. I will definitely look for the next in the series, but this one was just ok for me.

After Griffin and his brothers have a drunken encounter with a fortune teller in New Orleans, they return home to their small town of Port Snow, Maine. When tragedy strikes, Griffin thinks that the love curse cast on them by the fortune teller is real.

Ren, the newest resident and math teacher, arrives in town and needs to be rescued from a car after crashing into a tree while trying to avoid a moose on the road! Enter Griffin.

The two form a friendship that quickly blossoms into more, but Griffin won’t let himself get involved in a relationship that he thinks is doomed to be cursed.

The story is sweet and Meghan Quinn creates a good community of friends and family in the town that was introduced in Two Wedding Crashers. The brothers are all part of the story, and you will recognize people from the prior book. While I enjoyed the story, the hilarious bantering normally found in Meghan’s books was a bit toned down. Having said that, I absolutely believe it has the potential to be a great series.

I loved Port Snow. What a great small town where everybody knows your business. Not that I would want that for myself, but what a great community. I really enjoyed Ren and Griffin. Those two had some serious chemistry between them. So many great moments between them. I also loved that there are 3 other brothers and I can’t wait to read their stories.

That Second Chance was my introduction Meghan Quinn’s writing and I was not disappointed. This story had a wonderful fresh vibe, with a powerful family presence, and exceptional world building too. There was absolutely nothing not to love about the glorious setting in New England and I only wish I could see it first hand. I’m very excited to read more about this extraordinary family and I’m sure each story will make readers laugh and cry regularly.

I love a good second chance romance and I love Meghan Quinn, so I jumped at the chance to get this book early. I really like that this is a different kind of second chance love story because although it is a second chance for both Griffin and Ren, it is not for them as a couple since they just meet in this story. Since his wife died, Griffin has not let himself even entertain the thought of finding love again because he thinks he is cursed. Then a moose intervenes and he meets Ren. Ren has had her own string of bad luck and has moved to the peaceful small town of Port Snow, Maine to start over and hopefully find her place. Despite his best efforts, Griffin cannot seem to stay away from the sweet and funny Ren any more than she can resist the sexy and charming Griffin. Not getting involved seems to be a problem but will his past stop Griffin from having a future with the woman he is falling for?? Things are definitely not smooth sailing for these two but with a little help from the wonderfully meddling Knight family (I can't wait for the rest of their stories!!) they finally find there way to each other and their HEA.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC.

That Second Chance is a great start to a new series. I absolutely loved the quaint little town Meghan Quinn created. And Griffin's family was wonderful...probably my favorite part of this book. She really gets the readers invested in the whole cast of characters so that we want more of this series.

That Second Chance is the romance of Griffin and Ren. It is a second chance for Griffin as he lost his wife 2 years before. He believes he lost her due to a curse placed on him (and his brothers) to have broken love until they mature. This creates a lot of fear and hesitancy for him.

Ren crashes into Port Snow, literally, and Griffin is the one who rescues her. Now this is where I had to start telling myself that this is fiction so the medical aspects can be far from accurate. That only got worse later but fortunately there was a lot to mask that feeling in between times so I was able to put it on the back burner for a good portion of the book.

I really liked both Ren and Griffin, as well as the secondary characters. I also loved the premise of the curse and how it was handled in the end. The middle of the book seemed just a bit too drawn out, however. Overall, a good read and maybe my favorite Meghan Quinn book thus far.

As a fan of Meghan Quinn already, I was excited to read this book. That Second Chance is an unique story about brother’s bond, curses, small towns and family. Ren has the helicopter parents and is from LA and can’t wait to get away from them. She is looking to spread her wings and teach kids in a small town on the other side of the USA. The Knightley Brothers are well known in Port Snow, Maine and they are so many rumors about them in the small town. Griffin has been through a lot in his life already and isn’t looking for love again. He’s had heart break and is scared of it. He loves his small town and family. This is another great book by Meghan Quinn that will leave you laughing at so many great moments between family and friends. I fell in the love with all the Knightley family and never wanted the book to end. I cried and laughed and just wanted someone to talk about these characters with. She writes characters like these all the time and it’s why I love her books so much. I fell head over heels in love with this book. I give this book, Five stars and I highly recommend this book! I want to move to Port Snow so bad to eat fudge and all the delicious foods in this book!!!

An absolute gem of a book. Filled with romance, emotion and solid story line . I’m a huge fan of Meghan Quinn and I’m so excited to see where this series goes! I love brother series and this gave me huge Nora Roberts vibes.

I absolutely loved Ren and Griffin.
Meghan Quinn writes the best secondary characters to support her amazing main characters.
Griffin and his brothers are cursed or so they believe. Griffin believes the curse ruined his first love and he won't do that to another woman. Ren comes to town and turns his life upside down.
His family is pushing him to give love a chance. They believe his second chance at love is with Ren.
Griffin and Ren are so sweet together. The chemistry is amazing, as always with Meghan's characters, the banter is endless, the feelings are real.

I highly recommend anything Meghan Quinn, but this one topped my charts this year!
I cannot wait for the other brothers stories and how the curse changed their lives. From the snippets of their lives I think we'll be getting completely different stories, but great all the same.

A quirky math teacher’s encounter with a moose and consequently the town’s most untouchable hottie turns her move from L.A. to Port Snow in her best life decision ever.

That Second Chance is an enjoyable escape, full of warmth, charm and wit in which we meet Griffin Knightly, fudge shop owner, yummy volunteer firefighter and cursed widower who saves the vivacious Ren Winters on her first day in town from a kamikaze moose.

But even though they are perfect for each other and all of Griffin’s endearing yet meddlesome family is pushing him towards her, he needs to overcome his past loss and get rid of his broken love curse before he can look forward to That Second Chance he’s wished for.

Griffin and Ren are fantastic together, their attraction palpable. Ren is quirky and really fun to read and I loved getting to know Griffin through his friends and family and the deep relationship he shares with them and the town he very obviously cares for.

With her effervescent charisma and endearing characters, Meghan Quinn constantly produces feel-good, lighthearted love stories you’ll want to devour.

That Second Chance is book #1 of the Getting Lucky series by Meghan Quinn. It is a standalone contemporary romance, told from both points of view, and has a happy ending. No cliffhanger.

Small town romance with a love curse, what more could you ask for? Well let me tell you, you definitely get a whole lot more!!

Griffin Knightly is convinced that two years ago in New Orleans with his brothers that the palm reader that cursed them all with doomed love was not the quack everyone thinks. He has decided to make sure no woman gets close enough to fall victim to the curse.

Ren Winters needs a fresh start and what better place than small town Port Snow, Maine. She arrives in town with quite the bang but lands herself in the arms of a smokin' hot fireman. When she finally gets to know Griffin she thinks there maybe a spark but he puts a definite kibosh to those thoughts and she finds herself deeply embedded in the friend zone.

Ren is nothing if not persistent and soon she is deeply under his skin. Can Griffin see past his past and maybe see he isn't doomed like he has led himself to believe?

I am so in love with the whole Knightly clan!!! They are an all up in your business family but they do it strictly out of love and worry for each others well being. What a fabulous start to what I foresee as a fantastic series. Can't wait for the next installment.

Avoidance can only get him so far. And that is a lesson that Griffin will have no choice but to learn with the help of a meddling family and a naturally kind woman. When Ren arrives in town she does it with a bang and when Griffin meets her he doesn't know what hit him. Ren is refreshing for him. She is resilient and feels so comfortable around him that it allows her to be a free version of herself without worries. Without holding back. He is a sweetheart with everyone around town, and a charming strong protective man with her. And with their flirty conversations and openness she creates a zone for him to feel safe and experience happiness again around her.
You will see the progress happen in this book very slowly because he is a stubborn man driven by fears. But because of that, you will read how they become friends first. How they build a strong relationship. One that has no room for half invested feelings. One were the word temporary doesn't exist, even if there is doubt about how to act on it, there is no doubt about the feelings behind it.

This isn’t my first book by Meghan Quinn and it definitely won’t be my last. I loved this book and was reading to go visit Port Snow, Maine. She painted such a vivid picture of a beautiful, small town and all it’s little shops I could picture it in my mind and it was perfect.
Not only is the town pretty much perfect, but it is also home to the Knightly brothers unfortunately to the rest of the town those brothers are cursed and should be avoided at all costs. When Ren crashes into the Port Snow, and I mean literally crashes, she quickly strikes up a friendship with the volunteer firefighter who saves her. Gavin has had his heart broken, he didn’t want a relationship, he believed so strongly in the curse placed upon him and his brothers while on a trip to New Orleans, but there was no denying the chemistry between him and Ren. Plus, his families meddling ways. Will Gavin continue to let the Knightly brothers curse control his life or will he follow his heart?
I loved Ren and Gavin’s easy-going friendship, turned relationship, or semi-relationship. Their chemistry was amazing and everyone could see it. The ENTIRE Knightly family was AMAZING. I want to sign up to be an honorary sibling. Each brother had something different, plus their sister Jen was great and their parents were hilarious, loving and supportive of all their children.
I can’t wait to return back to Port Snow and to get more of the INSANELY gorgeous Knightly brothers.

What a journey! Griffin the tortured hero, taking the weight and blame of the family's problems on himself. That got me way down deep. I think I'd have believed in curses if I were him, too many things lining up as they did. Thank goodness Ren saw through it and was able to hold his hand and show him the way even if she didn't know how to articulate it. I loved this sweet sexy ride, and I hope we get more stories about Griffin's brothers and how they will beat the curse.

I have read several books of Mrs Quinn’s but this one was different than her other but just as awesome. That Second Chance is the 1st book in the series. I feel like she really tells the back ground of why Griffin is the way he is. You get the background of Port Snow and Griffins family and his nosy loving brothers.

I loved this book so much. Griffin and Rens story is about a second chance of love for Griffin. This book was very sweet, funny and full of romance. I can’t wait for the rest of the Knightly brothers stories.

I received a free copy for an honest review.

I loved this book! I"m already a big fan of Meghan Quinn. Her writing is so good and her characters are always so relatable and fun. That Second Chance was just as good as her others. I loved the setting, the Knightly family, and the relationship between Griffin and Ren. I laughed a lot in this book (like I do for Quinn's books), and there were sad parts (a given for Quinn), and I just loved it! This will be a fun series to read!
