I love reading anything concerning autism. I especially enjoy the difference in stories coming from parents. Thank you for sharing your story
A very emotional story. I really enjoyed you sharing how your family pulls together . I can resonate with this having an autistic daughter who is challenging. You give a very honest account and its very heartfelt.
As a mother of an autistic child, I thank the author for writing this book. It gives good perspective on parenting an autistic child from the challenges to the joy.
It has to be hell for parents with children who have severe medical issues; I feel so bad for them and can't even begin to imagine what life must be like for their families. I actually know of a family with a profoundly son. The boy is no longer a boy, but a well into middle age man and his elderly father cares for him at home. It broke his mom's heart, over the years before she died, that a cause or cure was never found. She had bent over backwards trying to find a cure for him, to give him a better life. She never lost hope. I am sure there are rewarding moments caring for these children, but they just seem so few and far in between. Enlightening story of one family's dealing with autism
Although professionally, as someone working in a public library, this is a really interesting read. On a personal level, with a nephew with the condition, any means of learning more about autism whether by means of fiction or non-fiction is always a useful thing to do
I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting or needing to learn more about autism on any level
I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
Thanks NetGalley!
a very emotional read. it shows you how true a mother's love is.
I must say, it was very stressful to read this mother's story about her daughter's challenges and one can only imagine what does it mean to live with them every day. Luckily, I don't have such a problem in my life, but I was working with children with similar problems so I can pretty much understand their way of life and some situations they face on daily basis.
This is a story about a mother who is looking for the cure for her child, a mother that decided to use the traditional medical aids together with spiritual healing, trying to achieve a healthier and more normal life. This is also a story about a mother who, at the same time, sees the problem, but also sees the blessings that her daughter's condition bear with itself.
It is very hard to say how
I started reading this before realising the there is a book before this. I stopped reading this book because I feel like I need to read the other one first to give me a better understanding to be able to read beyond autism.
