Unfortunately, I was unable to read this book due to a formatting issue.
My review is based on the blurb.
My girls love the Fortnite game but this book wasn't for them. It may be directed towards those who aren't looking for more character development.
My son and I both enjoyed reading this book, so much so that he wants me to buy it when it comes out. If your child is into Fortnite, especially if you have a reluctant reader, I would recommend this book.
Fantastic read for children. This book was loved by my 2 children when I read it to them. So much so they want me to buy it so definitely a huge hit
I was very eager to read this, but after 11% I am giving up.
I was thinking this would be a fun delightful book about Fortnite, I haven't actually played the game, but I have seen others play, and I have seen fanarts here and there. SO I was eager to start reading this one. It also helped that it promised illustrations (which were OK) and the cover was pretty dang nice.
HOWEVER, this just reads like when one listens to a fortnite match on a radio. Like a transcription. Every detail of what the character does and says is mentioned, and anything around him. "The big brute is all action and no talk. He throws me out the door as if I were a bag of potatoes! I don't know his name, I don't know anything about him, but I HATE him!"
However, there is just no story. It just play by play what is going on. Which doesn't read very well. I even read parts to my fiance, to see what he thought, and he also didn't like how it felt like a transcription instead of an actual story with dialogue (inner/outer).
