5 lovely, charming, nostalgic stars for K.A. Tucker’s latest novel, Say You Still Love Me!

I adored this second chance romance between Piper and Kyle who first fell in love at summer camp when they were just teenagers. Despite their instant connection during that amazing summer at Camp Wawa, Piper hasn’t seen or heard from Kyle since. Now, thirteen years have passed and Piper, a VP at her father’s corporate real estate development firm, runs into the handsome new security guard who just turns out to be her first love. As feelings come rushing back, Piper is intent on reconnecting with Kyle despite his initial standoffish attitude. She’s determined to find out why he never contacted her after that whirlwind summer and why, after all this time, he’s come back into her life.

I loved everything about this book! The summer camp setting, the characters, and the build up of the story was excellent. The story is told in alternating timelines and we flash back and forth between present day and Summer 2006. Piper is such a strong female character, she’s a high powered VP in a working environment full of men who think she’s privileged, yet she’s determined, hard working, and aims to prove them wrong. Despite his rough upbringing, Kyle is a fun loving guy and he’s head over heels for Piper. I loved these two together, their romance was a slow burn and the build up was perfection.

Let’s just start by saying KA Tucker pulls you in from the very first chapter! Starting off in the present before heading back into the past for the next chapter and the pattern continues. It’s done so well that you don’t ever feel lost or confused about what is going on!

Piper and Kyle meet at summer camp and have an instant connection, but events happen that cause them to be separated and they don’t see each other for 13 years. When they do see each other again, they must work out if they can forgive each other and move on or if their relationship is better left in the past!

It’s not hard to love these characters, they quickly endear themselves to you. Piper is from privilege but trying not to let people know, whereas Kyle couldn’t be more opposite! But teenage hormones don’t let social status stop them. This book will take you right back to summers as teenager. It’s fun to reminisce about the camps and shenanigans I got up to as a teenager at camps. Although none quite so memorable as Kyle and Piper.

Kyle is so sweet, very caring, and I just loved him. He took such good care of Piper in the past and it’s obvious that even after all this time she’s still the one who makes his heart beat faster! Piper has grown into a woman not to be messed with, but yet cannot control or contain her emotions around her first love.

This book gave me all the feels and I loved every second of it! KA Tucker is fast becoming a favorite of mine!!!

Say You Still Love Me is the perfect summer read. Nostalgic for summer camps gone by and first love gone wrong, Say You Still Love Me is a romantic home away from home.

Closure on the most painful relationship you've ever had...yes.
Answers to all the questions that sprouted in your heart as a result of no closure...yes.
Second chance romances with the "bad boy" who broke your heart...yes please.

Say You Still Love Me is Full of intense emotions. Sadness, longing, lust, and wonder are just the tip of the iceberg. Friendship, comradery, and love will consume the empty hollow places giving you the perfect amount of happily ever after.

Btw, I still think streaking with Eric would be fun!

The book read like a YA to me - partly because of the back and forth timeline taking us to the characters as teenagers then, but it also felt YA in the now.

Piper and Kyle met at a camp as councilors. Young love at first sight. Fast forward 13 years and Piper is a senior executive at her dad's development firm, and hasn't seen or heard from Kyle since that summer at camp. Then, Kyle shows up for work as security as her building.

I found this ended on a good note, but the middle was tedious. I skimmed some of the parts. There was a lot of details and unnecessary filler interspersed. The writing came off as cheesy in my opinion. It's a light beach read, but it started flat and ended flat. It did not blow me away.

I fell in love with Piper and Kyle at Camp Wawa!!

Say You Still Love Me is a great second chance romance!

Piper is a strong female character! Just how I love them. She doesn't take anyone's crap in her professional or personal life. She is in the process of taking over her father's company but struggles with people respecting her. I love how she handles this situation!

Kyle is an all around boy next door, well maybe on the other side of town boy next door. He is judged for his family but is the total opposite. He has a heart of gold and I truly felt bad for him.

I love the way their story is written. We go back and forth between past to present. This helped make their connection together even stronger for me. I loved reading about their teenage love at Camp Wawa and all their mischievous ways. But loved it even more when they reconnected as adults!

I really enjoyed this book and I am really hoping we see more from the side characters. Especially Ashley, Mark and Eric. Fingers crossed we get some more!!!🤞❤🤞

This book is everything I want in a summer read 😍

I fell in love with KA Tucker earlier this year when I read The Simple Wild, and Say You Still Love Me lived up to every expectation I had.

This book is the perfect summertime read. It maintains a nice balance of light romance, with more serious topics. Basically, this book gave me all the feels.

Say You Still Love Me follows Piper and Kyle during two time frames- summer 2006 when they met at Camp WaWa and today, 13 years after Kyle broke Pipers heart and has now reappeared in her life. I found myself excited to learn more about both our main characters as teenagers and as adults, even though I usually strongly prefer one timeline over the other in these types of books. That being said, the teenage timeline made me so nostalgic for summers when I was younger. I always wanted to go to summer camp and this book definitely gave me my fix.

If you love romance, second chances, summer camp, and first loves, you’re going to adore Say You Still Love Me.

Thanks to NetGalley, Atria Books, and KA Tucker for providing me with an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I have been a huge fan of K.A. Tucker for years and seriously could not wait to read this story. I absolutely loved the lovestory between Kyle and Piper and the way their story was told via flashbacks. Their young live and their days spent at camo WaWa was heartwarming to see. This stieybwas emotional and consuming and I never wanted it to end!

I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. Bravo. 4 stars! ~Ratula

This book is the very definition of giving something a second chance (for me personally & the story inside!). I had read this author before & did not connect, at all. But I decided to try her again with this title & I am so glad I did!

I’m not usually one for childhood romances, turn second chance adult romances. I feel like I miss out on the beginning of their love affair, only to witness its sequel. This story gives you both & I absolutely loved that! It’s told in flashbacks between chapters, giving us a glimpse of teenage Piper & Kyle & how they first fell in love as camp counselors one summer. Then, later as adults, we see how their paths cross again 13 years later.

The back & forth between chapters was nicely done, giving an even pace, but also leaving just enough to wonder what happens next & keep reading. This is easily a sit down to read kind of book & hours later you’re still there. I was swept up into their story & what happened so many years ago that led to them being strangers once again. I am so glad I gave this author another try because this story is one not to miss out on!

Say You Still Love Me starts off in the present. You’re introduced to Piper, who is about to take over her father’s position as CEO of their family business. She’s a serious career woman and takes a lot of pride in her job. She runs into her teenage boyfriend after being ghosted by him and not hearing from him for years. While Piper reminisces about her time with Kyle, you’re taken along for the ride. The book is split between the present and the past, which takes place at their old summer camp.

At first I was really not feeling this one. I don’t typically love books that jump back and forth between past and present. But as KA Tucker ALWAYS does, she sucked me into this story and I was invested. This is a story of first loves, first heartbreaks, and second chances. I don’t want to say much more, because I’m forever spoiling stories. I will say that I loved this book and it was a pretty quick read. A few chapters seemed to drag, but for the most part it was fun!

K.A. Tucker is that author for me. You know, that one author you can always count on to captivate your attention from the very first page. That author who never fails to write a book that you immensely enjoy.

Say You Still Love Me is told from two different time periods: the present and from 13 years ago. In the present time, the story follows Piper, our main character. She is a successful 29-year-old woman working at her father’s real estate development firm. However, even though Piper is more than qualified for her position, she faces condescending employees as a result of her young age and her gender. But, Piper doesn't allow anyone to bully or push her around. All in all, life is pretty good for Piper--until her first love reappears after he ghosted her 13 years ago.

The other time period shows how Kyle and Piper met at summer camp when they were camp counselors and how they fell in love. K.A. Tucker captures the feeling of first love and summer perfectly in this storyline!

My only complaint would be that I think we should have had a couple more chapters from the present time towards the end of the book. The book tended to get a bit heavy on the summer when Kyle and Piper met.

This book was entertaining, funny, sweet, and definitely swoon-worthy. It’s the perfect read for the summer! I recommend this book to fans of second chance romance and slow-burn romance. Trust me, you’ll fall in love right along with Piper and Kyle.

Gah, this book was tedious.

I used to love, love, love K.A. Tucker, but her recent books have been disappointments.

I see a lot of friends loving this book, so maybe it's just me. However, I found Say You Still Love Me to be incredibly boring, which is the kiss of death for me. In fact, the only way I got through this one was by heavily skimming the second half.

I should have realized this book wasn't for me right from the start. I really dislike flashbacks and a good half of the story is told in flashback. Contemporary romances are always struggles for me, and if I'm going to love them, they have to be damn good. Say You Still Love Me wasn't, I'm afraid. There were a lot of summer camp details, a lot of rich kid details, and a lot of information that made my mind wander. I found the plot to be really slow, and the romance just didn't interest me.

I didn't really enjoy any of the characters, either. They either seemed immature or spoiled or just... blah. Nothing grabbed me.

Maybe some of my fellow readers, especially contemporary romance lovers (though this also felt very YA to me, even though the MCs are adults) will enjoy this one, but I'm going to have to talk a long, hard break from K.A. Tucker for awhile.

I felt nostalgic while reading this book. I just would sigh and get it and love it.

I loved being taken back and getting the glimpse of Piper when she was younger. What it was like during that time of her life is something she would always remember and does.

I understood her as an adult. I can’t believe everything that happened and the secrets that were told.

Everything in this book was just great! This is my second book by this author and I’m learning that sex takes a back seat because she delivers such a captivating story that sucks you in that you don’t need it to be satisfied.

Thanks to NetGalley and Atria for letting me read this early.

I’m becoming such a huge fan of this author.

This book was everything you could want in a summer read. I loved the nostalgia of summer camp and first love. It made my heart so happy to read about Kyle and Piper’s story, how love can endure, and what it means to never give up. I am such a fan of K.A. Tucker that I will read anything she writes. If you haven’t read anything by her, this book is the perfect one to get you started!

K. A. Tucker does it again! Ever since I read The Simple Wild and totally fell in love with it, I knew I was going to pick up everything that she would write in the future, because her stories are so engaging and beautiful that you can’t just help but love them, so needless to say I went into Say You Still Love Me with very high expectations, and overall I have to say that indeed I was pretty surprised, because it ended up being something completely different from what I pictured in my mind.

The plot of the story was so interesting and fun, and in my opinion perfect for the summertime. It took a little bit for the story to flow, but I find that normal in contemporary romances, since it’s building those characters and that plot for the reader. Nonetheless, I found K. A. Tucker’s writing in this book incredibly detailed and engaging. I absolutely adored her way to tell a story and write descriptions, and I think she has a way to keep the reader committed throughout the entire book. I found really cool the jumps between past and present and how it was done in Say You Still Love Me. There were certain things that were addressed in the present that we had no idea how they happened until we read the flashbacks, and I think that was super clever and made me want to keep reading until I knew what in fact happened at Camp Wawa.

When it comes to the characters, I don’t know if I was surprised or not, but I definitely fell in love with them. I had a few minor issues with a couple of male behaviors at some points of the story, but for the rest of it, I was so pleased with them. They had a sense of vulnerability and realism attached to them during the entire book, and because it was told in Piper’s POV, we got to know a lot about her arc, personality traits and inner thoughts, which made it so easy to empathize or understand her.

And oh my my, that romance. I had a feeling I was going to enjoy it, but I fell head over heels for it. Not only Kyle and Piper had an explosive chemistry throughout the book that we could definitely tell by the little descriptions about gestures, but also this book was super angsty and slow burning, especially the “present” POVs. I was blow away by how much I was rooting for these characters and wanting them together, and I think they had such amazing dynamics going on between them throughout the book.

I also really adored the female friendship. I love seeing healthy friendships in books, and I think the relationship between these three girls was amazing and so precious, and it was nice to see it added to the story.
Overall, Say You Still Love Me was such an incredible story and perfect for this time of the year. I really enjoyed the plot and the characters, and their evolution throughout the story, not only as a couple but as individuals too. And after finishing this I will for sure check more of her works and read them!

Sixteen year old Piper Calloway has grown up in a life of wealth and privilege as the daughter of a real estate magnate. She is not at all happy that her mother is forcing her to spend the summer as a camp counselor at Camp Wawa in an attempt to have her daughter meet different people and hopefully in the process, ground her a little. She has barely gotten out of the car when up drives Kyle Miller. Kyle can't be more different from Piper. It's apparent he has not enjoyed the privileged upbringing Piper has. He's arrogant and a bit of an ass, nevertheless, Piper is immediately attracted to him.

Thanks to Kyle and her new friends, Eric and Ashley, Piper is unexpectedly loving her job as camp counselor and she is falling head over heals for Kyle. The problem is, Kyle and Eric are adventurous and tend to break many camp rules, pulling Piper and Ashley along with them. Things go tragically wrong one night. Piper and Kyle are fired and sent home. Piper is heartbroken when her attempts to contact Kyle in the following weeks are futile.

Flash forward thirteen years and Piper is now vice president of her fathers company, The Calloway Group. She is strong and intelligent but struggles to gain respect from her male counterparts. Even her father seems to think she can't hold her own in the male dominated company. It doesn't help that her ex-fiance, David, inhabits the office across the hall from her. Her father adores him and refuses to terminate him. David is relentless in his attempts at a reconciliation which Piper wants no part of.

One day Piper recognizes a new security guard at the Calloway Group office building. It's Kyle, the guy from summer camp that broke her heart. Kyle doesn't recognize her, leaving her hurt and confused. He's holding on to secrets and wants nothing to do with Piper. Piper is determined to find out what is going on and begins a quest to find the truth.

K. A. Tucker's writing is beautiful and heart rendering. The story was funny, sweet, sad, unexpected and heartbreaking. It is a second chance at romance, yet circumstances and most people are against it.
I loved each character and every word and I couldn't put it down, staying up into the wee hours reading. The ending made me cry like a baby.

This is an absolute must read with all the feels.

You know a book is good if I’m cutting my gym time in half so I can go home and finish it.

I fell in love with KA Tucker’s writing last year after reading The Simple Wild. When I saw this as a galley I was not expecting to receive it but you don’t know unless you throw your hat into the ring. I am very thankful to NetGalley, the Author and the publisher for allowing me access to this title in exchange for an honest review.

This novel had a lot of things going for it.

Dual Timeline. I am a sucker for going back and forth in time. Getting a storyline in pieces and then watching those pieces come together at the end is a beautiful thing. The downside is that I sometimes enjoy one more than the other and that was the case with this book. I preferred watching young love flourish as opposed to reading about them reconnecting as adults. Not a fault of the author, just a personal preference and I’m not the biggest fan of a second chance romance. If that’s your jam, this is your book!

The Setting. Half of this book is set at a summer camp and I’m a sucker for that. I love the atmosphere and excitement that the author provided. I felt like I was apart of it all.

The Characters. Piper was a solid main character. Likable, which is important. A driven career woman but also kind and funny. The side characters were equally as enjoyable. The author did a fantastic job of portraying strong female friendships. I appreciated that a lot. Christa and Ashley were very distinct to me and had stand out personalities. It wasn’t like the main character had two best friends that were interchangeable or blurred together lol if that makes sense.
There are also some not so desirable characters in this book but that is on purpose and understandable.
The worst critique I can give is that I just felt blah about the love interest. I was so invested in him when they were younger and at camp but in the present day as an adult ... meh.

The Romance. The romance was great and very front and center during the one timeline represented in this book. I was shipping it so hard. Love a forbidden romance. Second half present day I could take it or leave it. I sometimes felt like it took a backseat to all the other things going on in this book. It was well written but with a title like Say You Still Love Me I thought it would be more romance driven.

I hate to say this but... it was middle of the road for me. I’ll soon forget this book but I won’t be giving up on the author. I’ll either pick up her next release or pull from her back list ♥️

Say You Still Love Me is my first K.A. Tucker novels and it certainly won't be my last.

There was so much that I loved about this book- the fact that the chapters alternate between the past and the present, that it is a second chance romance, that our main character is a badass in a male dominated business, that half the novels is set at a summer camp, etc, etc. It also didn't hurt that the two main characters had a ton of chemistry! I did feel like there relationship was going around in circles and could be frustrating to read about at times, but I actually think that is quite realistic. Relationships are complicated.

Overall, I highly recommend this one and the author's past novels just moved higher up on my TBR!

Where can I begin with this one? It starts with a woman in power knocking a man down a peg so I'm immediately interested. It just gets better from there. Piper Calloway is a strong woman who knows what she's capable of, even if she's in the shadow of her father. Her character is sassy yet loving and won't let people step on her. We first hear about how Piper is in the business world before learning about her love life. She runs into her first love, Kyle, and things only become more interesting from there. Kyle is from the opposite sides of the track but trying to do his best. He has a sordid past and a family history he has a hard time escaping from. The story goes back and forth between when Piper and Kyle first met as counselors at camp to the present where they begin to reconnect. Every aspect of this story caught my attention. From the build-up of what happens to a supporting character in the past to the shady business doings of one of the partners of Piper's company. It's well-written with good humor, great angst, and a little bit of heartbreak. Piper and Kyle have chemistry leaping off the pages from beginning to end and you're rooting for them the entire time. The supporting characters are consistent and I love that Piper's friendship with them lasts from camp to present. The story flows and there's never a moment where you're bored. This is my first foray into K.A. Tucker's writing and it definitely won't be my last. I read this book in one night and that is the epitome of a good book.

There’s just something so sweet and beautiful about first love. That all encompassing and consuming love that stays with you your entire life. Say You Still Love Me captured that innocence and purity so well, bringing back memories of youthful, carefree days.

I loved slowly unraveling Piper and Kyle’s story. The book alternates between the past and the present and I loved the chapters at Camp Wawa and seeing their connection grow (and sadly abruptly end). It was heartbreaking to see them struggle to reconcile the past and attempt to find closure 13 years later. Wondering if what happened that summer left an indelible mark on the other as well. This was definitely an emotional read as the past comes full circle and hard truths are revealed. Some of the story played out exactly as I predicted, but there was a twist or two that left my heart hurting. This is my first book by KA Tucker, but her writing was heartfelt and poignant and I can’t wait to read more.
