A good book but the middle part seemed to be a bit slow...And I would have really liked to know what Reagan was thinking about in a few of the situations in the book. The ending seemed a bit rushed. It was a good read overall though!

This was actually my first book by author P Dangelico and I loved her writing and this story. She adds just the right amount of humor, friendship, and sexual chemistry to make the book one you can't put down!
I loved the all the boys on the polo team and I especially can't wait for Brock and Dallas' books. I hope Dallas ends up with Dora and Brock is with Zoe!
I will definitely be reading more from this author!

This was a sweet and emotionally charged college romance. Alice is a struggling to make ends meet, college student and Reagan is a champion water polo player/Mr. Popular, rich kid. They are both polar opposites on the outside but their instant connection shows their more alike than they seem. Their meet-cute was more like a meet-disaster and Reagan has to work to get into Alice’s good graces.
Can I just say how refreshing it was so see an heroine stick to her guns and not fall all over herself for a pretty face or drool worthy body? Alice can find Reagan attractive but doesn’t let him get away with his BS behavior. I loved that she called him out more than a few times. He’s used to girls letting him get away with anything but Alice teaches him different and I liked that.
The story has angst, drama, plenty of steam and a friends to lovers plot line. It also has a bunch of interesting supportive characters that I’m honestly excited to read about. I’m not sure which I want to read more, Virgin Brock and sassy AF Zoe or shy bookish Dora and loud life of the party, Dallas.
I loved Reagan. He was a good guy dealing with a lot of things outside of his control. His family is just the worst! And my heart broke for him. Doesn’t excuse his behavior or his twisted logic but I get why he freaks out and runs scared of his intense feelings for his best friend.
Alice was a strong heroine, when her emotions complicate her friendship she didn’t turn into the typical irrational love sick heroine. She was a great friend and she was strong and independent. I was really rooting for her and Reagan to finally that the plunge together.
The pacing of the story was great up until the end. I was left feeling like things get really intense one minute and then it got downgraded with a long break that ends with a quickie reunion chapter. I’m not a fan of prologues that start in the future. The spoilers always making me antsy.
Would I recommend? This is a great new series of college romances between a really tight group of friends. It’s funny, sweet, with just the right amount of heat. Here’s to hoping the series stays safe or safe (with exceptions) because my curiosity is piqued for at least 2 of the 3 friends.

This author never fails to pull me right in, folks, even when I find myself nervous about the territory I just strayed into. As a lover of relationship angst, I’m usually good for a quick rumble in the jungle of romance when it features back and forth bickering and witty banter that ultimately leads to a HEA. What can I say? I’m not one to shy away from romantic troubles if the main couple are worth rooting for. The synopsis seemed to spell that promise of a story line out pretty clearly.
In its college young adult backdrop, you’ll find some common themes often portrayed in this genre. Hot hunky jocks from rich, entitled families, in this case water polo teammates who also happen to be roommates, as they live the life of Riley. Grueling practices and fierce competition, yet plenty of play time to party, especially with the ladies who swoon at their feet. We are given glimpses each guy has some hidden issues that will likely be resolved in future books by the most unlikely leading ladies you’d match up with them. You see, on one hand you’ve got Alice and her band of unlikely, mismatched friends, and on the other Reagan’s posse of team bros, who I suspect will fall for them. I did enjoy seeing these two groups rally around their friends when needed. Dora, Zoe, Blair, and Alice especially became protective of one another. Power to the sisterhood, ladies!
Oh, Brock, baby, you’re the one I can’t wait to see get your own HEA. The strong, silent, reasonable, always does the right thing, virgin hero is likely going to mix things up with the rich, sassy, life of the party, speaks before she thinks loyal friend of Alice. I think we will find there is way more to her than meets the eye.
Dallas isn’t done either, folks. I’m thinking this wild child man will be tamed by the quiet, sweet, rather naive/innocent girl in this bunch.
Cole is really the hard core partier/womanizing player of the pack. Considering the scenes Alice accidentally walked in on with him and OW, he’s got a whole heap of something that is causing him to live life too far out on the edge.
For a book that started out centering around the struggles of Alice, who felt like she had just fallen down the proverbial rabbit hole when she started attending Malibu University, it eventually seemed to be more about Reagan, the hero. Now he was a complicated, hot mess. Stereotypical rich boy with over domineering, uncaring parents and a sad side plot featuring a sibling desperately in need of being saved from himself, he didn’t seem to know what to do about anything. Naturally, he carried the weight of the school on his shoulders, as well, by being team captain of the school’s beloved sport.
The heroine obvious was going to make this guy a better man by firming up his manhood. Hey, I’m referring to his backbone by helping him realize he needs to be the one to take charge of his own life. Sure, there are some very heated, smexy scenes where your mind may have just wandered later on in the story. These two do dance around each other for quite awhile. By looking at the cover, I’m thinking you likely know that is a given.
Alice’s heart takes a beating more than once, that’s for sure. She at first came across determined not to fall for Reagan’s charm. She put up a good fight for awhile, but I must say she forgave him too quickly at the end for an unexpected heartbreaking stunt, which did not involve OW, btw.
With its “I want you, but can’t date you/don’t want anyone else to touch you” theme on both sides at times, these two knuckleheads made their own journey to love a difficult one. It will be up to you to decide if it was all worth it.

Oh my gosh I freakin loved this novel. I loved Allie! The chemistry was off the charts. I loved the dialogue and banter. I was laughing out loud at a Lacrosse game. So good! This novel grabbed me from the very first page and did not let go. I loved it! I love when a novel can make you smile, laugh out loud, make you want to cry and leave you with a smile on your face and a happy heart. This novel did that for me. Can't wait to see what is next!

***4.5 Stars***
Talk about slow burn goodness!
This one pulled out all the stops and then some.
I laughed, I growled, I swooned and I really want to spend more time with this cast of diverse and unique characters and find out what makes them all tick!
I loved and adored Reagan and Alice. Reagan is all kinds of sweet, golden hearted goodness. It may not appear that way, I mean the man is something of a golden god *smirks*, but he has a good and honorable soul that comes through in his actions time and time again. Alice is a fighter. She has a goal, a dream that she’s always wanted, and works hard every day to achieve that goal. She definitely has a stubborn streak, but she isn’t about to cut off her nose to spite herself. She’s sassy, sweet and is very true to herself and her heart.
To say I enjoyed their slow burn romance is an understatement, I loved it! From their first collision (which is quite literal) to watching as they slowly became friends and struggled to keep their attraction to each other solely in the friend zone, it was all kinds of goodness. Their bantering was a lot of fun and the chemistry between them was hot. Now, not everything goes smoothly, but even I didn’t see that one coming. It was heartbreaking, though understandable, and while I would have liked a tinsy more grovelling (Ya’ll know how much I love grovelling) I can’t deny that I loved how everything worked out for them in the end).
This wasn’t only a great read, but also a great first in series. I loved how we got introduced to all the characters and the little teases of what MAY be coming in future books. Zoe, Blake, Dora, Brock, Dallas, Cole and Quinn were a lot of fun, though Dora is my fav ATM, and I am totally looking forward to getting to know them all better!

Really enjoyed this book, the first in a new series but not my first read from this author, it was a bit different to her previous books that I’ve read but I liked it, it felt a bit lighter. Loved the characters, well developed and the chemistry felt authentic. Overall, an enjoyable read

Three and a half stars.
Aspiring photographer, film-maker Alice Bailey has moved heaven and earth, worked harder than ever before, to get from her small community college in New Jersey to Malibu University and she isn't going to let anyone or anything distract her from her goal of getting an internship with James Cameron's production company by submitting a winning short film by the end of the semester.
Reagan Reynolds maybe the son of hot-shot lawyers, he may have been born with the proverbial silver spoon in his mouth, he may have the body of a Greek god and be a star player on Malibu's water polo team - but he can't drive. After nearly running Alice over he takes her to the team doctor to assess her injuries, although his family has drilled it into him that they are prime targets for scam artists trying to rip them off for millions in compensation. When Alice brushes off his offers for help he should be relieved, but actually he feels guilty that this girl is suffering because of his poor driving, and intrigued be she seems quick to brush him off.
Reagan is the archetypal poor little rich kid, pressurised by his parents into a career he doesn't want, ignored and neglected. Alice on the other hand is the typical over-achiever from a solid blue collar background, struggling to fulfil her dreams.
Full disclosure, I've been having a rough time recently and so maybe my head isn't in the right space to review books - this will be the third book by a favourite author to get a meh rating in less than a week - but this book just didn't really do it for me. It was typical college YA/NA sports romance/ rich kid/poor kid romance. Sure there's a more believable angst than others in the genre but it just didn't grab me. As I read early into this morning to finish the book I got the distinct impression that it was plot moves forward, they have sex, plot moves forward, they have sex. As if every time anything happened it had to be rounded off with sex. Maybe it was the late hour, but yawn!
Maybe I should have passed on a favourite author when I saw it was billed as NA - I'm a bit over the genre TBH - but it's P. Dangelico so I had to request an ARC.
Anyway, if you aren't sleep deprived, bitter, twisted, cynical and a little bit heartbroken you will probably enjoy this well-written NA sports romance.

Oh my goodness! I totally flew through that one! I always get excited to find a new author to love, and I am now completely hooked! This book was everything I would want a contemporary, new adult romance to be! It’s a slow burn, with amazing characters (although the friends were a bit much for me at times... ahem... Zoe?), and a completely endearing relationship! I loved falling in love with these characters and watching them fall in love with each other. Just the right amount of humor, sweetness, heartache and, in the end, well... I’m not going to give it away! I am so glad I had the chance to read this book!
***a huge thank you fo Netgalley and the publisher for gifting this book to me in excahnge for a fair and honest review ***

Nothing But Trouble is the first in the new series by author P. Dangelico and my first read by this author. Alice is a strong, young woman determined to make it through college and get her dream job. Reagan is a sexy water polo player just trying to live up to his parents dream for him.
Two people from two totally different families walk through friendship, love, and grief all while trying to deny the attraction between each other. Neither of them want anything or anyone to get in the way of their dreams. This book is so much more than just a sports romance! It will have you feeling all the emotions that are unleashed at every turn of the page!
I truly loved all of the characters in this story and wasn’t ready for it to end when it did. Although the ending was abrupt, it doesn’t take anything away from this fantastic story and will leave you wanting more!

Nothing But Trouble is my first read from P. Dangelico, and I found that I really like her writing style. Thank you to Netgalley and the author for allowing me to read an advance reader's copy in exchange for an honest review.
Nothing But Trouble follows two leads - Alice and Reagan. Alice is an aspiring filmmaker and she's busting her butt to make her experience at Malibu University a successful one. Unfortunately for Alice, her experience gets a bit more difficult after a near-collision with a car results in her having a severely sprained ankle (and that's one emergency room visit she cannot afford). Did I mention Reagan, future med-student and water polo star, was driving? Desperate to make things right, Reagan is determined to make Alice's life easier until her ankle heals. Will Reagan change his stance on being anti-relationship for his senior year? And will Alice let down her guard enough to see if this really is a case of opposites attract?
spoiler free: So this is a cute new adult romance. It has the recipe to make it successful. A compelling story that forces the two leads together, slow-burn romance, college sports, and a case of complicated, intense family dynamics. This definitely was not a surface level new adult contemporary for me. That is usually one of my biggest gripes - that I don't feel connected to the characters because there is a lack of emotional depth. That was not the case here. Both characters, but especially Reagan, had a complicated backstory and damn the ending was very emotional. It'll yank at anyone's heartstrings.
Overall, this is a 3/5 for me. I liked the story and I loved the emotional depth that P. Dangelico poured into her characters. I love that this is a series, because I didn't feel like the side characters really had a chance to shine - so it'll be nice to get to know them more throughout the series. The reason why this isn't rated higher is for two reasons. There were two instances in which the hero character, Reagan, behaved in a manner that I just could not get behind. I don't want to spoil anything, but I just wasn't pleased with some of his actions and especially not at the last 5% of the book. But, overall, if you're looking for a new adult romance with some substance, I would check this one out. I will definitely be reading more P. Dangelico in the future.

4 1/2 stars. I really enjoyed this. Reagan carried such a burden, trying to live up to his parents expectations and still be true to himself. Plus the situation with his brother is completely heartbreaking. While I didn't like the mixed signals he kept giving Alice, I completely understood that he wasn't doing it on purpose. He wanted her, but didn't want to hurt her. He knew it would not end well and wanted to spare her heart. Alice was an awesome and sassy MC. She let Reagan know when he crossed the line. I felt like sometimes she let him get away with to much, but she was also fighting her feelings for him. Superb story-line with engaging secondary characters, Just missed 5 stars because I wanted a bit more from the reunion scene at the end. I understood Reagan's reasoning for what he did, but it was still a crappy thing to do and Alice deserved better groveling.

I'm a big fan of P. Dangelico's slow burn romances with her arrogant heroes and feisty heroines so I was all in for a mouthy Jersey girl facing off with the water polo-playing campus king. I liked Alice, liked her friends even more (Dora's story, please!), even liked Reagan's friends (Brock's story, please!) but I did not like Reagan one teeny bit:
“Wait, wait…The Reagan Reynolds.” My eyes go wide for maximum dramatic effect. I probably should stow the bitch card but my ankle hurts something fierce and this guy is the root cause.
The Reagan Reynolds gifts me with another one of his half-cocked grins. “You know who I am?” He’s dropped the Ron Burgundy act. This is all him. He’s a little surprised and a lot pleased that I may know him.
My face falls flat. “No.”
Dr. Fred coughs and Reynolds’s smile promptly disappears.
At this point, Reagan should have exited stage left and Alice should have hooked up with sweet Brock or even messed up Dallas.
This was an unusually disjointed story with lots of moving parts and plotlines - Alice's family history of cancer! Reagan's junkie brother! Reagan's awful parents! Alice's shady classmate Sean! - that were either quietly abandoned or quickly ended. Reagan spends the majority of the book not using his words, not telling Alice how he feels, coming up with excuses why he shouldn't be with her, using her to feel better about himself or his family, and just being an immature dude. Then he did something so selfish, stupid, immature, and boneheaded that I really did hope Alice would hook up with one of his water polo teammates; just pick a guy, seriously, anyone.
This girl is awesome. The fucking best. I don't deserve to be her friend. Not after the way I treated her.
See, even Reagan agrees with me.
There is no question that P. Dangelico creates the most gorgeous slow burns with gorgeously ego tripping guys, but unfortunately, Reagan didn't do it for me. That said, I am still hoping to get stories for the rest of Alice and Reagan's Malibu crews.

'Nothing but trouble' is a light enjoyable read with slow-burn-friends-to-lovers relationship in a college setting. Alice Bailey is a college transfer from New Jersey. She is fiercely independent and self-reliant. Unfortunately, on her first day at Malibu University she almost gets run over by a local water polo champion, rich, successful, and drop-dead gorgeous Reagan Reynolds. Alice refuses any help. At first, Reagan, whose parents instilled in him a healthy fear of lawsuits, is relieved, then, he begins to feel guilty. When he realises Alice lost her job and might even have to drop out as she is not able to move without crutches, Reagan does everything to win her trust and friendship. They begin to spend more and more time together, but Reagan is convinced his last year of pre-med school is not the right time for getting involved seriously with anybody. There is a subplot about Reagan’s brother and his personal tragedy. Eventually, Reagan does understand Alice is the person who understands him, supports, occasionally puts him in his place and is somebody who is much more than a friend.
I loved the dual POV in this novel. The story seemed so much richer being told from the two perspectives. The characters are well-written, whether you agree or disagree with their choices and their behaviour. At the beginning, Alice seemed way too sarcastic, but as the novel progressed, this quality completely disappeared and instead we saw a sweet and loyal girl. I didn’t think the last twist (the last 5%) was completely necessary or overly realistic, but it didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment of the book.
I will be definitely looking forward to more novels by P.Dangelico.
Thank you to the author and NetGalley for the ARC provided in exchange for an honest opinion.

Can we talk about this cover. I wanna know who this man is. I wanna stare at this man's face forever. I love this man. Call me man.
…..Okay now on to the actual story.....
So good! I've read the authors previous romance books and have enjoyed them all. And I really liked the college setting of this one!! All the characters fit well together and I can not wait for the rest of the series! I binge read the last half of this Friday night and I swooned and laughed and just enjoyed my self. Also, side note, there's a part where Dora, the innocent girl of the group, is at the party they go to as a group and asks what smells like a skunk. I immediately had a flashback to a few weeks ago when I asked my roommate what smelled and how it was like a skunk. She then explained that it was weed that our suite mates were probably smoking it. Dora's friend group then explained to her that it was weed the people at the party were smoking it. I can not wait for her book. We're kindred spirits.
I really enjoyed this and recommend if you like college romances and soft boys who aren't afraid of their emotions and strong females.

I was really surprised by this book. Now at first I wasn't too keen on Alice's attitude. She was snarky and sarcastic for no good reason. I mean I know Reagan hit her with his car and she didn't know who he was, I just felt she could have toned that down a notch. All he was trying to do was help her. I eventually warmed up to her though. Reagan was easy to like. He had a lot going on in his life but he was still carefree/humble and just tried to make the best out of the situation he was dealt. My heart broke for him anytime a situation arose with his brother. The ending was wrapped up nicely. This was a great introduction for what's to come in this series. Can't wait to see what's in store for the other guys.

I completely adore this book! It was such a fun and witty read that will have you laughing one moment then pulling at your heart strings the next! This was a first read for me by this author and I will most definitely be on the look out for more of her work!

***4,5 "Mixed Signals!!!" stars***
"Although he started as nothing but trouble, he's become everything and more..."
Wow!!!! Just wow!!!
I haven't read yet all books by P. Dangelico, but this book was the best!!!!
Even though i wasn't expecting it, this book had it all!!!
As unbelievable as it seems, it was a very emotional reading for me at times, and others very funny!!! And very sweet, of course....
The characters were amazing... Not only the main couple, but also the secondary characters and I can't wait more of them!!!!
Also, the pace of this book was so good... A huge slow burn romance which at some point, i have to admit that it frustrated me as hell!!!
All started with a hot man who had learned to drive by his blide nana (Bahaha!!!) and as the result, Alice ended up with bad mood and a sprained angle...
THE Reagan Reynolds (Big Deal!) had guilts about that result, so he was making it a mission for him to help Alice with everything she needs, but Alice doesn't want anything from him and she is kind of rude to Reagan...
But Reagan is a very persistent guy and he doesn't back down...
And from that moment, a strange, but strong friendship is starting between them... But the attraction is underlying between them all the time...
"My head knows we're only friends. My heart and the rest of my body strongly object to this arrangement."
So what will happen after all???
Will they risk their friendship in order to become something more or their friendship will be an obstacle in their heart matters???
Will their differences stand in their way???
And what about all the rest of their problems???
""I was thirteen and the first lesson I learned about love was that it could ruin your entire life."
"Do you still believe that?"
"No.
Not since I met you, the words form in my head.
And that's where they stay."
"You've taken up all real estate in my head... You've owned it since the day I met you.""
Well, Alice was a wonderful and very strong person...
Her life isn't the best and most of the time, she doesn't see the glass half full...
But she is trying her best to make her dream come true, even with many sacrifices...
Reagan is way out of her league and he is not her type at all, but slowly and steadily, he is winning her over, but she never loses her fire and i liked that very much!!!
And of course, all these mixed signals are getting on her nerves, and mine's too!!!
"I wish I knew how to keep some emotional distance between us. Which is definitely in my best interest because the mixed signals haven't stopped. I can't decide if "he's just not in to me," or he can't make up his mind. Neither of which do me any good. And between the sweet gestures and the heartfelt talks, he makes it impossible not to fall for him."
Reagan was rich and popular... A water polo God!!! But he was such a great guy!!!
Seriously, guys!!!! He was sooo... wonderful!!! And even though, he seemed to have everything, he had his own problems and they were way too serious...
My heart was breaking for him and... Nope, i can't tell you!!!!
The pressure that his parents were dambing upon his shoulders were... too much and i could understand how he was feeling!!!
He had so many opened issues, that he didn't want to drag Alice in them and i respected him for that, but still... All this sexual tension was driving me crazy!!!
"My life is so complicated right now I can barely keep my head above water. And Alice... she's the only good thing in it. I can't risk losing her by asking for more and then not giving her what she deserves."
I really loved this book and I'm waiting like crazy the next book in the series...
And I'm wondering... Who's turn is next???
Maybe Dallas??? Maybe with Dora??? Hmmm???
Maybe Brock and maybe with Zoe??? Hmmm???
Maybe Blake??? Or Cole???
Whoever's turn in next, i just CAN"T wait!!!! Please hurry, P.!!!!
"You know what possessiveness is?"
"Toxic?"
"Nah, man. It's the soul's recognition that the object of your affection is so precious and singular you know you'll never find another."
And for the end...
"Love doesn't exist in a vacuum. It's inextricably interwined with self-sacrifice, vulnerability, risk... and yes, pain. Maybe that's why we're so often disillusioned by it. We demand it to be perfect when in essence love can't exist without the risk of pain and the cost of safety..."

Reagan Reynolds...
Water polo god.
Owner of a face that belongs under Wikipedia’s definition of drop dead gorgeous.
Too charming for his own good.
But most importantly––the worst driver on the planet.
No, really, I’m pretty sure his blind nana taught him how to drive.
I had no idea who he was until he almost ran me over. And frankly, I kind of wish I still didn’t because then I wouldn’t have a sprained ankle to show for it. And my leg wouldn’t resemble a boa constrictor that’s swallowed a feral pig.
Yeah, it’s that bad.
I’ve spent years saving every penny I’ve ever earned to be able to transfer to Malibu University. And now my entire future––including my scholarship––is in jeopardy.
So I either accept the help he insists on giving me, or lose everything I’ve sacrificed for.
In the meantime, I’m going to ignore the fact that we’re becoming friends.
And I’m definitely going to pretend he’s not turning into the object of my…umm, dirty fantasies.
That’s not happening.
Not even a little.
Because the minute I clapped eyes on him I knew he was nothing but trouble.

I'm going to keep this to a short review. I didn't dislike this book, it was an okay read but being a fan of P Dangelico as I am, I didn't love it like I have some of her others.
I think some of my lack of connection with the story and characters related to the NA setting. I'm not averse to NA but this one didn't grab me. The characters were interesting and the story was okay but I just didn't connect and didn't feel the connection between the characters. The heroine, grabbed my attention, I liked her personality and situation. Reagan was more difficult to feel the love for but again, I liked his family set up and the brother's difficulties.
I'm sure many will enjoy this book but I just wasn't wowed on this occasion.
