I loved Gabe and Abbie’s quick spark; they have a push and pull chemistry, the kind that feels like it might spark then fizzle, but instead it burns bright in Gabe and soon entrances Abbie. It’s a story of two lives, destined to cross, and meant to show them that love can be good if you let it. Instant win for me that I devoured and then instantly bought the next book!
Gabe Maxwell is Reid Maxwell little brother the smart witty funny one. The one night only brother because something in his past has made sure he never wants to be with 1 woman again. That is until he enters a bar he frequents and see a redhead he wants to bed.
Abigail was sitting in a bar on her laptop when here comes a sexy stranger that follows her to the bathroom and kiss her. Abigail escape him and plans on not seeing him again. That is until she walks into his office looking for his brother Reid. Abby has the kind of secrets and ex-husband that would scare off every man in her life except Gabe. Gabe wants her like he wanted no other and is determined to have her to hisself only Abby doesn't know of Gabe deep dark secrets and the man he can be and he doesn't want her to find out.
Looks can be definitely be deceiving and turn your world inside out! This book was filled with suspense and a chemistry that would ignite them with every breath they took. The first part of a duet you frantically try to finish to get to the stunning conclusion!
I have chosen not to give feedback on this title, which is probably pretty obvious as it was released almost 2 years ago.
My apologies for the delay. I don't want to rate/review titles that don't work for me when they are close to release or available on NetGalley, but it seems I forgot to go back and update the DNF status.
As always, I appreciate the opportunity to read and review.

This was one of the first books I have read by this author. I found it fast pace and very quick moving. I'm not sure how I feel about that, it honestly took me a while to get into this book. But once I did I found it interesting. It was full of angst, and charters that weren't entirely believable. A little too much happened too fast for my taste. But it definitely ended with a bang.
I loved beyond words Gabe & Abbie and the beginning of their journey! I can’t wait to read Her Submission which is the rest of their story.
I voluntarily reviewed this book.
Gabe Maxwell is rich, successful and has his pick of women. He doesn't do happily ever after or marrying. All his focus changes when he meets Abbie, a redheaded tornado that he becomes obsessed with after she kisses him then runs off. He thought he might never see her until she turns up at his office. Abbie has secrets of her own and will pull Gabe into her world.
Abbie left her lying cheating husband and took both but the land that houses her mothers animal rescue. Now every time she turns around something bad is happening there or they are being fined for something. She knows he wants the land back but can’t figure out why. He is also in business with some dangerous people that she doesn’t want to get mixed up with.
I look forward to reading the next book in the series. This book was a great start!!
What a hot book! I was hooked from the start & couldn't put it down. Lisa Renee Jones described such a great world in this book & I can't wait to read the next book. Gabe is definitely a strong alpha male type guy who gets hooked when he meets Abbie who is nothing like his type. Abbie isn't what she appears to be either. Loved it & can't wait for more.
Let me begin by saying that I really enjoy Lisa Renee Jones writing style. I've read quite a few of her books and found them very enjoyable. His Demand showed promise but for some reason fell flat for me. I felt like it was teetering right there but something was missing. I had difficulty connecting with the characters, especially Abbie. Even though Gabe was domineering and did everything to the extreme, I somewhat understood him. I absolutely did not understand her at all. I believe that part of my issue with this book may have been that I felt their romance was too rushed. There are certain situations where I can buy into insta-love. I understand its necessity in novellas and when it's done well, I can embrace it in books. However, in this book, it just didn't work for me. Given that it is a duet, I think there was plenty of time to develop a more solid relationship between the two. Of course, this is just my personal opinion. I am curious enough about what happens next to read the next book in the duet.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am leaving a review.
No one writes a sexy alpha-hero like Lisa Renee Jones, and Gabe is one for the record books. He and Abbie are explosive together, and their push-and-pull romance kept my eyes glued to the page. The epic cliffhanger, secrets and suspense made me immediately download the second book, Her Submission.
Thanks to NetGalley for this Read Now book. I liked how it started off and continued to develop the story between Abbie and Gabe until it got repetitive. Abbie would run, Gabe would stop her then they would have sex. Both have secrets we won't know until we read the sequel. I enjoyed this book well enough to read the sequel.
Lisa Renee Jones has written some of my favorite stories, seamlessly weaving together plots full of secrets, lies, sex & suspense. This story has all those elements, but the main characters insta-love & devotion felt rushed and didn’t immediately connect with me. And even though this book is the first of a duet, I felt like I was missing important components by not having read the interconnected books. All in all, a solid story, just not quite as memorable as this authors previous work.
One of my new favorite books! This author has such a way with words the pages flew by in no time! I can’t wait to see the next work by this author! This was such a joy to read!
I am a lover of Lisa Renee Jones' books, there are always the perfect read. The characters are well developed, with the male being the perfect mixture of Alpha with tenderness. I love her females as well, the are never weak annoying damsel in distress types. and She always adds the perfect amount of suspense along with the perfect amount of hotness.
I must say I am loving this whole network or characters. Love that we are seeing a bit more of Reid and Cat and Mia and Grayson plus add in the Walker boys in the background, and I think that is why I love this series so much, it's like one great big family or TV series, each one focusing on a specific story.
I loved Gabe, he comes off as the cold alpha never going to marry or fall in love male who quickly finds himself in new territory with Abbie. He's powerful, and can be cold and calculating but with Abbie and as well Dexter we see a totally softer and much warmer Gabe. I really love Abbie's character,, she's strong and independent, with a bit of sassiness to her.. These two from the start had the spark and the chemistry was quickly off the charts. I love the dynamic the author built with this couple
I loved the storyline, once again the author has added the suspense while keeping the romance to the story. The only thing with this one, I found at times it a bit too heavy on the sex, and would have loved to see the story focus more on the story. There were many times I would have preferred to see less detail or it go black and spend more time with the story than the sex. Normally this author has the perfecdt amount of sex to story in her books but the past two books found it way to sex heavy and it really took away from the story for me and had me skimming.
Overall a really great read but warning, have book two ready as this one leaves you hanging.
His Demand from Lisa Renee Jones ist a book about desire. One he had her in his bed, he needs to have her completly.
If the relationship between Abbie and Gabe isn't categorize as instant love than I don't know what is. There was just a little too much happening at the same time and the whirlwind romance between the leads was unrealistic and fast moving. It became a little more than difficult find something I did like about the series and as much as I appreciate the ARC, I just had to let this one go.
Danger, intrigue, and demanding men! Yeah, it was easy to grab this book without a second thought. However, Lisa Renee Jones doesn't do anything without pushing your mind into hyperdrive.H His Demand is no exception.
His Demand is about an instant connection, a controlling ex, and danger. The question is who is more dangerous? And of course, I don't know yet! I need to scramble and grab Her Submission. I
I'm eager for answers. Dexter hasn't gotten anyone yet so I bet he is eager too!😁
I don't know if it's me or what but I was way over this story quickly. I'm simply not a fan of insta-especially the ones that take place within a 24 hour time period. Now, some insta has worked for me but not this one. So if you aren't an insta fan or lover run don't walk to your next read.
This dominant billionaire who doesn't believe in anything other than fucking falls in love at first sight. It takes all of a few hours of the couple being in each others presence for his song and dance to change. And she's fighting a nasty ex, also a billionaire, who cheated and treated her badly, so you know she's supposed to be avoiding that road. Which didn't even come close to happening.
Maybe if there was something more than surface to these two I could see it, or get but hind it. But there is no depth to them. No building of character. Nothing of importance to show me why he was the one or she was the one. The only thing I saw when it came to our MCs was that they liked to get down and dirty, frequently.
Abbie and Gabe just didn't do anything for me. Abbie was wishy washy-decide what you are going to do, chick and stick with it. It got a little tiresome watching her indecisiveness. Should I stay or should I go? Should I protect him or should I take what I want? Yada. Yada. Gabe, well he was the typical billionaire we find in romance books. You know the "Me Tarzan, Jane Mine" type. He was set on this red headed chick (mind you he isn't very fond of redheads) from the first kiss. He wasn't going to let her go. She was now his and he was steadfast in that.
Besides the whole insta (why do I do this to myself. I need to read reviews before requesting books), the book was beyond repetitive. I skimmed quite a bit and still knew what was going on.
Anyway, it has been years since I've read this author and I should have kept it that way. Insta is her thing, which isn't her fault that's not my cup of tea. That's mine. I can't give her low ratings due to something I don't like. The low rating was for the lack of depth, the superficial characters, and the repetitiveness.
At this point, I am divorcing Ms. Jones.
Another solid story by Ms. Jones. His Demand is a hot story with a good plot. SOlid characters and romance.
