This was a fun quick read. Nothing too over the top. Thought the romance was interesting. The characters were good.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoy these Harlequin romance mangas. I love the illustrations. I love the stories and since the stories are from actual books, sometimes it even motivates me to go and read the book for more details. Love it.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) from NetGalley and Harlequin/SB Creative as the publisher in exchange for an honest review

Book title : Passion Becomes You : a Harlequin Manga

Author : Michelle Reid ; Illustrator : Takane Yonetani

Release Date : 11 April 2019

When Jemma, our heroine who is also a secretary first meets our hero, Leon Stephanades who is aso her boss' wealthy Greek client, she is unable to take her eyes off him. Jemma tries to resist our Greek god's charms but she is unable to do so. They later turn into lovers with one rule: "no conditions, no promises, but while we're together, I'll be yours only."

Jemma's destiny later took her to endless nights full of passion and steamy scenes in the pleasure department. Just in time when, Leon asks Jemma to come with him to New York, Jemma finds out that she conceives Leon's baby.

Our hero and heroine later were involved in some emotional issues to overcome. Yes...yes...yes, they started to get attracted to each other but the rest of the story is not something that I am going to spoil here. The illustrations are pretty and they cheer me as the reader. Despite of those reasons, this manga is still a nice manga to read on our leisure time.

Passion Becomes You is a manga novel with beautiful artwork, but I honestly struggled to like Jemma and Leon at times as characters.

Review to be posted on Goodreads/Blog on Friday.

I received this manga from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

It has been a hard time for me, I wanted to read these so badly, but I wanted to wait until this week before I read them. This week is terribly busy with moving (on Friday), some last packing, some last furniture stuff that needs to be build in the new house, some more little things in the new home. It is definitely the perfect week for some Harlequin manga.

This one was chosen purely because it was the first one to be released. :P Though looking at the cover *swoons* and the blurb I am definitely eager to read this book. OK, the whole playboy thing may go two ways, but I hope it goes the right way.

"Wh-what's happening to me? It feels like my heart's going to explode. My whole body is heating up." That is called love at first sight, congrats. Cupid shot his arrow straight into your heart. Doki doki.

I am not sure how I feel about Cassie. She seems a bit too dramatic to me, and I am even doubting she is pregnant. I am sorry if that sounds heartless, but I am kind of agreeing with Leon on this topic. I have seen this tactic being used a few times already in these Harlequin stories.

Oh my Leon, oh my! I loved his proposition, that is quite a sexy one. I can imagine him snagging women left and right. Teehee. I even blushed at how daring he was and how he held her.

I can imagine she isn't too happy though, I do love gifts myself, but I can imagine it gets overwhelming to get such expensive gifts every day. Plus, yes, I did think it was creepy that he did research on her. OK, maybe it isn't too bad that he did, but did he have to throw it all out during their conversation? A bit too stalkerish if you do it that way, in my opinion.

Um, hold on. What is going on? Sorry, but I am a no no on forceful man. If a guy would have talked to me and held me like that I wouldn't have dove into his bed like that. Especially given that she was still a virgin, it seems a bit weird that after holding on to it so long she would just lose it to some stranger. Even if she were attracted to him.

I did think that things went a bit too fast though. In regards to the love part. Unless more time has past, but for me it felt like mere hours, maybe a couple of days.

Wow, Cassie was THAT, and Josh reacted to it that way. I would have kicked his nuts and not just slapped him in the face. What a dickface. :|

OH NO, Not again. <spoiler> What kind of fucking magic is going on with these girls that they are all getting pregnant from just a one-night stand or maybe a few times sex? Ever heard of condoms? Of the pill? Of other protection? Hello? Plus... it was a bit too eye rolling since she was just having a fling with Leon, and he was quite clear on the whole pregnancy thing. </spoiler>

I am sorry but that last panel on page 66 (for me) was just freaking hilarious. I get that they just had a nice french kiss, but put those tongues back when you talk. :P

I am not sure how I felt that she did that, but I also don't blame her. I am not sure how Leon would have reacted, but I am sure he would have been pissed at her. Better to end it like this.

I am glad though with how her best friend/roommate is talking to her, and letting her know that maybe she should let Leon know about that situation. It won't be an easy conversation, but I did want her to go.

<spoiler>WTF? Our future is set. It won't matter if you scream or shout. I will marry you even if I have to drag you by your beautiful hair. </spoiler>

Also what? Why did Trina do that? Didn't she want to wait until Jemma had delivered her baby? It seems odd.

There is some more silly drama, because of course why not? We can never truly have a happy ending in Harlequin without some drama.

The ending was sweet, but I wanted to know about the baby now. Is it a girl? A boy? Twins? Triplets? Hello, you can't just end it there!!!!

All in all, a so-so manga. The story was rushed, the drama silly, I am getting tired of the <spoiler> magically pregnant because we were so lost in passion and oh yes teehee trope </spoiler>, the romance between the characters I just didn't see it that much (though there were moments here and there that I loved them together). But mostly it felt like a guy who wanted to get a girl and did everything to threaten her to do things with her (yes, I would call the things he said to her threats). The art was pretty cute and lovely.

When Jemma, a secretary, first meets Leon Stephanades, her boss’s wealthy Greek client, she’s unable to take her eyes off him. His smile almost makes her heart burst. Jemma tells herself she mustn’t fall for the playboy—he changes lovers as often as her parents and her boss do! In any case, he’s a confirmed bachelor who hates being tied down. Nevertheless, aware of Jemma’s gaze, Leon tugs her toward him and softly promises, “No conditions, no promises. But while we’re together, I’ll be yours only.” Though annoyed by his arrogance, Jemma is unable to resist his kiss. Will Leon see she's the one he was not looking for but definitely needed?

Thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin for the galley in exchange for an honest review!

This book is super cute and charming, and I'm looking forward to reading more of the Harlequin Manga! They read quickly, the art is beautiful, and who can say no to a good romance comic? Not me, that's for sure.

This story was an interesting one. Not one of my favorites from this line though.
I kept going back and forth about how I felt about the characters. I liked them, and then I didn't. Their families sucked, yes. But that still made their relationship overly hard in ways. This story also fell into some tropes that are not my favorite.
The art was lovely of course.
