This was a fun quick read. Nothing too over the top. Thought the romance was interesting. The characters were good.
I really love the story if this novel. The graphic was good. The storyline is interesting. The only thing is that it has a very bad format on my kindle. Anyway, nice drawing and story!
I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoy these Harlequin romance mangas. I love the illustrations. I love the stories and since the stories are from actual books, sometimes it even motivates me to go and read the book for more details. Love it.
Okay, I’m now sure Mills & Boon/Harlequin are deliberately choosing the most whack storylines they can find for their manga range.
In this one, our hero is approached by a woman who says she is carrying his baby. He’s not met her but apparently the IVF clinic she and her husband visited made an error and she ended up being impregnated with his and his late wife’s child. WTF? I can’t even.
There’s more craziness throughout, including the hero realising he’s attracted to the heroine after she has a haircut. I kid you not.
I thought the illustrator for this manga could have done some things differently. The late wife and the heroine were almost identical; the heroine doesn't look any different in her before and after the haircut drawings; and he kept repeating ‘clack’ sounds which was odd.
This is the shortest of the mangas I’ve read. Only seemed to take me about 10 minutes to read, in fact. Pick it up if you can get it cheap but otherwise I wouldn’t recommend.
2 out of 5
I received an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) from NetGalley and Harlequin/SB Creative as the publisher in exchange for an honest review
Book title : The Hair from Nowhere : a Harlequin Manga
Author : Trish Morey ; Illustrator : Yu Mahara
Release Date : 17 May 2019
Angie was bullied by her husband because she could not conceive a baby. For that reason, she decided to undergo fertility treatments with her husband. When she finally became pregnant, the clinic told her that she had been accidentally inseminated with another couple's fertilised eggs. Her husband later left her in a rage but she decided to give a birth to the child and give it to its proper parents.
Her destiny later took her to see Dominic Pirelli, our hero whom he also happens to be the father of the baby. It was not an easy encounter for them as Dominic started to accuse her for being a money sucker. Dom was so detached and calculating. Yet he later was moved by the tenderness of Angie.
Our hero and heroine later were involved in some emotional issues to overcome. Yes...yes...yes, they started to get attracted to each other but the rest of the story is not something that I am going to spoil here. The illustrations are pretty and they cheer me as the reader. Despite of those reasons, this manga is still a nice manga to read on our leisure time.

Beautifully sweet romance. It starts very suddenly with a woman declaring a pregnancy to a man who's never met her. He's aloof, detached, calculating. Despite her stark vulnerability, she stands up for the baby and he's moved.
The drawings are soft and lovely, though some transitional pictures were a bit brusque, such as at the hospital or after a kiss. The relationship is very, very sweet. He's hard to convince to deal with her because he's damaged from his loss, but her shiny attitude and sweet disposition totally captivate him.
Both have emotional issues to overcome and they do so through their love for each other. The moment they really face their feelings is so warm. I loved the baby scenes, also during the pregnancy. Really cute.
Cute story, I liked the characters. I really LOVED the art work throughout this story. I have not read a lot of manga before, but I do appreciate these quick stories. I am looking forward to reading more like this.
Thank you to Harlequin / SB Creative and NetGalley for providing me with an e-copy to read and review.
I devoured this book in one, short sitting. I loved the story because it was cute and very entertaining. I love how strong Angie is despite her tense-filled circumstances. I'm not sure I'll ever get over the gruff rich guy who softens from the beautiful love interest and becomes a charming and changed person trope. My only critique is that there could have been more tension or conflict. Otherwise, it was a sweet, romantic story.
Angie was undergoing fertility treatments with her husband when she finally became pregnant, but then the clinic told her that she had been accidentally inseminated with another couple’s fertilized egg! Her husband left her in a fit of rage, but she decided to give birth to the child and give it to its proper parents. There was no way she could end the life she had been blessed with. But when she meets Dominic Pirelli, the baby’s true father, in person, he sneers at her appearance and scathingly asks how much money she wants! After an initial shock Dominic understands Angie is a woman like no other and convinces her to go live with him for the time of the pregnancy. Needless to say proximity makes these two people come close, too close to part ways after the baby is born...
A great way to not only read the story but have visuals as well. Great artwork and storytelling. Totally enjoyed
This was my FIRST manga romance read ever!
I liked it because it was manga, and romance theme.
I have to be honest. This is a great introduction to romance readers or to be readers.
For a romance rookie reader like me - I like to use my imagination in descriptive book and it's genre - old fashion way :)
I enjoyed this book a lot, but I will be back to read fiction books that build my imagination instead looking at the graphics.
Still 4/5 for me for great idea and perhaps a great marketing for Harlequin romance to be readers!
