This was a decent story and I somewhat enjoyed both the hero and heroine. Roxanne and Radnor were well-written characters. However, nothing really stood out making it a great book.
Readers of Ms. Walter's Tapestries series, might find that the series has a bit of a pattern, as EMBROIDERED FANTASIES is the fifth book. There is an unhappy women who finds a tapestry and it whisks them away to a strange land and two gorgeous men who want nothing more than to entice the woman to stay and spend three days doing so. Well, yes, that is the pattern but with EMBROIDERED FANTASIES there is a bit of a twist, though in fairness and no spoilers allowed, I will let you find out about it on your own as you read this fantasy filled book.

I have not read previous books in this series but I believe after reading this wonderful book it can be classified as a stand alone book. I will definitely read the first four books too. The story of this book is great! You got everything here. Romance, twists and turns, brotherhood, and some historical facts. Iblike the author's creativity and wit!
Highly recommended read!
Once again a medieval tapestry bring true love to a heroine from modern times and our heroes from the past.

She is swept back in time as she is one of the tapestry brides. Radnor and Sednar have been abused by their older brother all their life but now that he is gone they finally have a chance they are turning life around for everyone at Craddock castle and things are finally starting to look up but they never expected that a tapestry bride would be theirs Now these two brothers have three days to convince Roxanne to stay with them and they will do whatever they need to in an attempt to make her stay.
Embroidered Fantasies by N. J. Walters is book 5 in the Tapestries Series. This is the story of Roxanne Sykes and Sednar and Radnor Craddock. I have read the previous books and feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so.
We start in the current time where Roxanne is coming out of a abusive realtionship. Roxanne ex-husband is free and coming for her. Roxanne ends up with a Tapestry that transports her to another time where she meets the Craddock brothers. Sednar and Radnor know about abuse becasue of their family when they see Roxanne they know that the Tapestry of Javara lore is turning out to be true. But nothing going easy for them. Another exciting hot read from Ms. Walters!
This is once of those books that would made you want to yell at the death people in the book. The emotions and the sheer pain the people felt with the Craddock "bad" brothers tainted all of them even the good ones. I love how this was created. It gave people that not all apple that fall from the same tree are bad.
Roxanne is a divorced girl still trying to get her life together after her abusive ex was put behind bars. Just barely spreading her wings a little, her newly sprung ex shows up to her apartment with revenge on his mind. Magic happens when an old tapestry Roxanne bought from the local flea market whisks her away to the land and time the tapestry depicted.
Radnor and Sednar lived with abuse and violence their entire lives, until their older brothers were killed. Trying to change the family stigma, they have made Craddock Keep prosperous. Roxanne appears and the fable of the tapestry bride is made real. Feeling instant attraction to her, the brothers do everything within their power to entice their tapestry bride to stay.
This is a great story with outstanding characters! Embroidered Fantasies is book five in the series, but all can be real as standalones. Please be aware the books are being re-released by a new publisher with new covers!
I have read book 1 and 2 in the tapestry series and was excited to find book 5 available on my Netgalley shelf. No worries about this being a series though, because each book is a stand alone read. Roxanne thought she was finally beginning to put her life back together after sending her abusive ex-husband to prison when she gets the call that he’s been released, yikes! That’s not the kind of news a woman wants to hear when said ex is the kind to want retribution. She has a sweet loving personality that has been affected by her asshole of a husband and now doesn’t trust her judgement. She finds the tapestry in a flea market and as in the other tapestry books it seems to call to her. Roxanne buys the aged dusty tapestry depicting the two medieval warriors standing in front of a huge castle and is transported to them by magic. The Craddock brothers, Sednar and Radnor are hoping their luck has changed as the tapestry brought Roxanne to them. They’re likely to be able to get a female because of their family history towards woman. So this story is about how all three of them have experienced abuse in their lives thus far and find it hard to trust, hope and love easily. It is a story of healing to reach new beginnings. Of course in NJ Walters’ style Roxanne, Sednar and Radnor engage in some steamy hot erotic encounters as she has to pick one of them to be her primary “husband”, though she will be shared. The thriller part of this 5th installment of the series though is that Michael got transported with Roxanne when the tapestry’s magic initiated and he’s determined to finish the rape he started in her apartment and wants her punished somehow for jailing him and he’s found help. So we are in fear for her, even as we are rooting for her to find love and happiness, knowing Michael is coming. I feel that this one was the fastest paced of the tapestry series with so much action and anticipatory events. I would highly recommend reading not only this book but the previous ones in the series if you’re a fan of this genre. The free copy of this book was provided to me via NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving a review. HAPPY READING!
Radnor and Sednar have not had it easy: bullied, beat and living under the cruel leadership of their older brothers has caused them to band together for security. But when they alone are the sole survivor's of their family's destruction, the fight to prove themselves different to everyone, including their people, is almost more than they can handle. And then Roxanne appears. Their belief in the power of the tapestry to only bring a woman who has the strength and the courage to start a new life is at their core of their hope for the future. But will Roxanne be able to move away from her own horrific past? Will she be willing to embrace a time long ago and give up the modern conveniences of chocolate and other female necessities? Will Radnor and Sednar's seductive skills and manners convince her that she is the perfect woman for them? Book 5 in the series.
Embroidered Fantasies by N.J. Walters, -Paranormal, Romance - Short Storey
Roxanne Sykes is a waitress trying to do the best she can to create a life of normalcy for herself. Roxanne has suffered the loss of her parents and fiancé in a car crash. Then she had to struggle and gain the strength to leave an abusive husband and put him behind bars. Slowly gaining self confidence, Roxanne starts to feel free to expand her experiences and explore new possibilities. With an apartment to decorate and low on free spending funds, she goes shopping at a flea market. Roxanne finds a tapestry that strikes her desire, (little intended pun) she brings it home. Receiving a call from her lawyer Roxanne learns that her cruel ex-husband has been released from prison. Michael is determined to make her pay. When he shows up at her apartment, he is bent on destroying her. While they wrestle Roxanne lands on the tapestry and they are transported to another time, another place. Roxanne is whisked to the safety of two medieval warriors.
Radnor and Sednar Craddock have known a life of violence and brutality at the hands of their older brothers. Life for them has changed and they now are the owners of the family castle and putting their home in order. Fate of the tapestry brings to them a potential bride. They must convince Roxanne to stay and they must do it in only 3 days.
Loved It! Great Story! What dedicated brothers!.
The story started off that you feel connected with Roxanne but does not dwell so much that it becomes dragging. Roxanne could be me, kind of connection. It bounces to: a touch of sexual fantasy, then back to life, then fear, back to sexual-erotic fantasy, that flow very nicely. A lot of sexual interaction, over-coming abuse and finding trust, love and acceptance.
A couple of small questions:, Why is there only one warrior on the cover? and Where do I find myself this tapestry?

This is the fifth book on the Tapestries Series.
Roxanne Skyes is a divorced waitress who's been through hell and back. She is trying to carve a simple and enjoyable life for herself after escaping an abusive marriage. Kne that almost left her dead. Then her quiet life is shattered when she gets a call letting her know that her ex husband is out of prison and that means he will find her and come for her to finish what he started. Before he can harm her she buys a tapestry. When he shows up to attack her the tapestry magically whisks her away. She then finds herself in a strange land, in the presence of a man straight from her erotic dreams.
Radnor Craddock's has had a life of violence and brutality. He never expected that the tapestry of Jarvara lore would bring a woman to him and his brother, Sednar. Now they only have three days to convince Roxxane to stay, and they will both use their special skills to try to seduce her and get her to stay. Roxanne has never encountered anything like these erotic encounters and yet she can still not trust her own judgment. I mean she did marry a man that seemed good at first then severely abused her. Then she hears whispers and warnings of the Craddock's violent pasts. But when her ex husband shows up and threatens her very life, Randor and Sednar risk their very lives to save hers.
Will she be able to get past her feelings and give the brothers a chance?
N.J. Walter's is absolutely brilliant. I really enjoy these tapestry stories. I've only missed one and I really need to read that as well. This book is chalked full of hot guys, sex, love, violence, retribution, and above all sweetness. Who knows where the tapestry will go next and I for one plan to read about it.
I love the Tapestry Series. I have read the other books and loved each and every one. This one is about the Craddock brothers, Sednar and Radnor. The tapestry brings Roxanne to them. She is escaping an abusive ex-husband, Michael. The story is about how all three of them have experienced abuse in their lives and find it hard to trust and love another. It is also about their attempt to heal each other. Roxanne's, Sednar's and Radnor's erotic passionate interludes are very hot. Somehow Michael got transported with Roxanne. He was still out to get her. I feel when the danger of Michael and two others he enlisted to assist him to abduct Roxanne finally came, it was anticlimactic. I thought there would have been more of a story behind the abduction and potential kidnapping. Other than that I enjoyed reading this.
Embroidered Fantasies is a wonderful addition to N.J. Walters Tapestries series and embraces the enchantment of magic and the freedom to find a brand new life. While this is only a short tale, it still provides an engaging and well-developed plot, and the characters that are passionate and charismatic. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and all that came before it.
Love this series of books. Each one is different except they are all alike in that a tapestry has brought a woman from the future back in time to become the wife to at least two or three brothers. Roxanne is trying to escape an abusive ex-husband, who while physically attacking her, is also returned in time along with her. She has three days to decide on whether she wants to stay or return back to her home. There is a lot of sexual interaction between the three of them as they have three days to try and convince her to stay with them. There is a HEA but a lot happens first. This book is well written and moves at a good pace making it an excellent read. I would highly recommend it as a great read.
Roxanne was enjoying her freedom from an abusive ex. There were still some things she wanted to do, but for the most part she was happy. That was until she received a phone call from the prosecutor in charge of her case against her ex. The phone call was to let her know that her ex had gotten out of prison and Roxanne knew that meant that he would come looking for her.
Roxanne had purchased a tapestry from the flea market that she was drawn to because of the scene depicted on it. She longed for the two warriors on the tapestry to be able to keep her safe. Magically, when her ex showed up and started to attach her, the tapestry took her to that other world with the warriors. Can they convince her to stay? Will she be safe?
This was a great read, with lots of conflicting emotions. Could Roxanne trust her judgment (she could) and take the life she had never thought she’d have (she does). Could the Craddock brothers be lucky enough to find peace (they were) and could their nature scare the one woman they want away (it doesn’t). These three people needed happiness but felt it was out of their touch. The fact that they found it with each other, made it all the more sweet!
N.J. Walter's has written another great book. I love her Tapestries series and this latest installment does not disappoint.
This is the story of Roxanne, Radnor, and Sendar. Roxanne is a divorced abused wife whose ex gets out of prison and comes after her for retaliation. Well we know our heroes are not going to allow anything to happen to their beloved!
This is a great lazy afternoon read that will leave you smiling and wishing for a tapestry of your own.....
I came across this series by accident and I'm so glad I did!! My question for the author.... when is the next installment being released!!
Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for a great afternoon on the couch reading!!
Embroidered Fantasies is book 5 of the Tapestries series but can be read as a standalone. Roxanne Sykes has lived a lonely and heartbreaking life in the past few years. She had the strength to finally leave an abusive husband and now feeling free to live her life on her own terms. Her life takes a drastic turn when she purchased an old tapestry that seemed to call to her. When her ex-husband is released from prison and finds her, the tapestry whisks her away to a medieval world where she is cherished, loved and protected for the first time in her life, but she doesn’t trust her judgment. Radnor and Sednar Craddock has three days to convince her to stay. The remaining Craddock brothers pulls out all the stops to show her what life could be like in their world. A very enjoyable read.
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley. All opinions are my own.
