This book hit the ground running & didn’t pause for breath.

Luke is a night janitor/cleaner in a hospital. Any hospital – he moves around a lot. He can heal by touching someone. His sister, Annamaria, can give someone a deadly disease by touch. Annamaria has plans for the future, powerful plans. Only Luke can expose her and she wants him dead.

I really enjoyed this book and found that I just couldn’t put it down. There is none stop action all the way through & I was hooked. The plot is solid & fitted together well. The book was easy to read & flowed well. It definitely ticked all the boxes to make a good read.

There are plenty of well written characters who are three dimensional but not over the top. Okay, I admit there is a slight good/evil cliche going on here but it wasn’t overdone. I loved Clyde – a vlogger who is desperate to find the big story & did he strike big when he got involved with Luke!

I liked the fact that the author makes no attempt to explain these “special powers”. There are just there – some people are musical, some talented artists and Luke & Annamaria have their own talents. As a reader you just need to accept them to enjoy the book.

So if you a fast paced book with a bit of a twist then give this one a try. I shall certainly be seeking out other works by this author.

I received a free copy of this book via Netgalley.

This is such a heartbreaking novel that you will not be able to put down. How can a book make you cry and feel good at the same time? Love the characters and the way they are developed. Quite an unforgettable story.

This book was amazing. I was hooked from the very beginning and was up all night because I couldn't stop reading. There was always a new twist that kept me gasping and wanting to jump ahead to see what happens next. All of the characters were compelling and the relationship between Annamaria and Lucian was heartbreaking. He'd do just about anything to save the person intent on destroying him. The story never felt forced and all of the character's motivations were completely believable. Even though the last chapter made me want to throw something, I will definitely recommend it to my friends and will probably end up reading it again myself.

Minor spoilers

A quality supernatural thriller that I could not put down! The book was more exciting than scary, yet horror movie buffs might relate to the 1981 film THE OMEN 3: THE FINAL CONFLICT while reading the novel. I know I did and that’s not a bad thing. I was also impressed with the cat and mouse road trip locations that Allen presented while conveying the ‘good vs. evil’ approach. Hopefully readers will see a film adaptation soon.

The supernatural usually doesn’t grab my attention, but T. F. Allen’s “The Night Janitor” is an exception. Brother and sister, good and bad, one hurts for others and heals them, one just hurts (or kills) others. One works as a janitor in hospitals so he is able to bring joy and happiness while the other is a politician (enough said). The siblings share a secret deeper than their gene pool and having been separated for years they race cross country for the inevitable meeting affecting multitudes along the way directly and through videos posted on the internet by ‘ShowMeClyde’. Excellent standalone novel that already has me looking for more from a very creative author.

Annamaria Gabor can kill with a whisper and a touch. Her victims never realize she’s given them a deadly disease. The cops will never arrest her. No jury will ever convict her. And no one can stop her—no one except her brother.
Luke Johnson can heal by touch. He works as a night janitor in hospitals and nursing homes, healing patients as discretely as he can. Once people notice his work, he moves on to the next city—before the hired assassins arrive.
Luke is a hunted man. His sister wants him dead because he knows her deepest secret. And she has big plans for her future only he can destroy.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy of The Night Janitor. What very gem of a thriller mystery. The Good versus evil. I was hooked by the name and first sentence. What a ride. I have not read any book by T.F Allen, but he is indeed a writer! I look forward to reading more.

This book focused on two siblings, separated for years, each with their own unique supernatural gifts. One gift used for good and one for evil.
How do two siblings channel their shared experiences as adults and what do they bring into the world by their actions?
Overall, this was a feel good book. I enjoyed it. I wouldn't mind seeing further adventures of Luke. I think there could be a whole series of books following this one.

Luke is a night janitor on the run. In between cleaning the floors, he slips into hospital rooms and touches patients. But, don't get too concerned. He's not some weird perv. He really does have magic healing hands. The only thing is most people don't understand and don't believe and when he gets caught and they get suspicious there's trouble. And, to cap it off, his sister has a team of assassins tracking Luke down. She wants him dead and nothing is young to stop her. Like the tv show Heroes, maybe there are people out there with Secret abilities who really can do faith healing. Or maybe they are just great con artists.

The writing here reels the reader in like a fish on a hook and once it grabs you it just ain't going to let go. It is a thoroughly compelling read about superpowers, faith healers, sibling rivalry, and more.

This is a fabulous story that had me hooked from the beginning. The plot certainly grabbed my attention as being a little bit different, and I’m glad that I chose it to read as it was thoroughly entertaining. I also like the Authors writing style, and the unique and interesting characters.
Luke Johnson liked to work as a night janitor in hospitals in whatever city or town he found himself in. Being totally ignored by doctors, nurses and family members of the sick is exactly what he wanted. Luke has a very unusual ability to heal sick people, so a hospital is the perfect place for him to hang out at. However, not everyone understands his amazing ability and when he gets the feeling people start to work out that he may be responsible for the miraculous healing of patients on deaths door, he knows it’s time to move onto the next place. There is one person that isn’t so thrilled that he is saving people from dying and that is his sister Annamaria. She has her own unusual ability and it’s not as nice a Luke’s, especially since hers is to make people sick and ultimately kill them. From start to finish this is an exceptional book, and I would certainly recommend it. 5/5 Star Rating.

The positives:
The story was different from the usual, and I get excited when I find something with a new twist.

It was a fast, easy, interesting read. I did keep wanting to go on, to find out what happened next.

There was a twist that I really enjoyed. (Although without giving anything away, i wish we had gotten a little more on that. A sequel maybe?)

The writing was such that I could picture The characters and was emotionally involved in what happened to them.

The minuses:
I felt like it was a bit rushed. not the story over all, but the pacing. The chapters were relatively short, and a good deal happened in each chapter. Im not sure how to describe it, except to say it almost felt like a bunch of short stories that happened one after the other rather than one cohesive story (if that makes sense).

I also felt as if the people were one dimensional. The brother was so good, and the sister was so bad. I understand this was the premise, but it might have been nice to give them a little more dimension. I

Overall I did really enjoy this book and will try more by this author.
