An extract review only. Begins with a room full of bitchy women who are driven to distraction by the new neighbour, who has invited herself to a book group. She takes the lead and turns the nice middle American evening into a drunken, secret telling nightmare. All of the characters merged into one, unlikeable and weak, playing stupid children's games to prove to a newcomer you were naughty.
Not my bag.

I really need to get my hands on the full book.
What a way to start off a novel, Wow! It quickly build up my interest into the full story and I hope I will get approved to read it asap.

Wow! Starts off with a bang. Sorry I didn’t realize it was just an excerpt butI am hooked. Need to read the entire book!

This review is based on the sampler however I definitely want to read the full book when its available.
The enigmatic new neighbour Roux gatecrashes and derails a neighbourhood book club meeting at Amy's house. Instead of discussing the book, the women end up getting drunk and playing a game of Never Have I Ever, as suggested by Roux. Secrets are disclosed and it's clear that Roux knows some dark secret about one of the women. With jealous and manipulative characters, I can’t wait to see where this story goes!

***my rating is based on a sampler***
Amy lives a pleasurable life with her husband and baby son and stepdaughter. She runs a book club with her friend Charlotte and everything is great until the mysterious Roux arrives and disturbs their uncomplicated lives. Based on the sampler I read this was a good read and I enjoyed it.
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

Thanks to NetGalley author and publisher for my arc copy of the book for a honest review.

I loved the first chapter of this book and can’t wait until it gets fully released.
The characters and plot drew me in straight away and I wanted to keep on reading. This looks like it’s going to be a hit!

I have only read a preview of this book courtesy of net galley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review and I am hooked.
Wine and truth games together are not a good idea.
What starts as a monthly book club meeting with numerous women in a neighbourhood is quickly taken over by a newcomer to the area. Amy is hosting the book club that her best friend Char runs. The newcomer, Roux is charismatic and the book to be discussed is cast aside as the women are drawn to Roux’s every word.
As the crowd thins, it becomes a different kind of night as a game similar to “never have I ever” is initiated by Roux. What started out as just fun, quickly became more than any of them anticipated. Some secrets should stay silent. But what is Roux’s motive? We get only a tiny hint.
Although this was only a preview, I was instantly grasped by the story and will have to patiently wait for the full book when it’s released. This portion I read is a five star for me.

Drew me in got my attention looking foward to reading the rest of the book.sorry it was only an extract this is a book you wil race through so excited to read the book in its entirety. #netgalley #bloomsburyuk

That is one heck of an opening chapter! I was immediately entranced. Punchy and fast paced. My interest is well and truly piqued!

I am intrigued enough by this book that I will absolutely be checking it out when it is published. There were some aspects to the writing that I was not impressed by, but the overall storyline has me interested to read more.

Absolutely loved this. Didn’t realise till I downloaded it was just an extract but I really look forward to reading the whole thing. Amazing!

What the extract I think I would really enjoy this book. Very well written. Sounds like a great book. Sorry I didn’t realise this would be an extract.

I flew through this opening chapter for Never Have I Ever. Through this excerpt, the reader is introduced to Charlotte, Amy and several of their neighbors and fellow "book club" members. They welcome a new participant/neighbor to their group. Her name is Roux and she proves to be a somewhat disruptive character. Roux suggests that they play a game called 'Never Have I Ever.' As they play the game, it becomes apparent that it is unearthing secrets that many of them would prefer stay unknown. Near the end of this excerpt, you are given the impression that somehow Roux may know something about Amy which is puzzling since they'd never met before.
I was immediately intrigued by this short piece from Never Have I Ever. I look forward to the release date and having a chance to continue with the story.
Thank you to NetGalley for this "sample" of the book.

Wow. If only all book club meetings could be this interesting. Very interesting read. I'm interested in seeing how this plays out. Looking forward to reading the rest of the story.

When I saw the opening chapter was available to read I jumped at the chance. Despite knowing that having to wait for the rest of it would obsess me. This opening chapter is one of the best I have read this year. Who was Roux, what does she know about Amy and why is Amy so afraid. And I wouldn’t like to mess with Char, possessive over her book club and everything connected to it. What could she be capable of?
Only five months or so to find out. Superb!
