After reading the extract, this definitely is on my to read list.
I find the cat and mouse concept appealing
and I'm intrigued to find out what Amy has done..

Wow wow wow! This book right here took me all the way in and left me right there. I was glued to those pages and I could not stop reading. Be careful who shows up at your book club, you never know what may happen. This book was a 5⭐️ Read for me. I was engaged from the beginning till the end. You are guaranteed to not be disappointed. I love Raven Books and have heard so much about this book. I've only had access to the first novel, but it has already gripped me and leaving me with a need to read the rest of it!

Unfortunately, I only had access to the first chapter of Never Have I Ever but I'm hooked and need to read th remainder of the book.

I loved the storytelling and and the way it is written. I so need the entire book and can't wait for it's release. Its definitely on my "to-buy" list.

This was a great little extract to get a feel for this authors work and writing style. I must say my interests have peaked and I’m looking forward to reading the book in its full entirety.

I didn't realise that this was only an extract when I requested an ARC, my fault for not reading it properly. However the excerpt I read was fast paced and exciting and I can't wait to read the book.

The extract I received contained the first chapter of a new Wisteria Lane style novel. A zombie-mombies book club is stirred up by the arrival of a mysterious new neighbour on the street who joins the easily plastered new mums one night, easily intoxicating the entire group with her free flowing-wine and magnetic personality. By the end of the night, light weight mums tumble to the floor, babbling about the worst things they'd done that day, that week, that month, the confessions turning from little nothings to bragging and ultimately admittance of wrongdoings. The chapter ends on a cliffhanger-ish, to get you hooked in, although I expect we won't get the answer we are looking for until much later on in the book.

While the chapter is quite well written, I felt the author tried to condense the entire set-up into the first few pages in order to get it out of the way, introducing characters, backgrounds, suburban mummy politics and hidden pasts all in one go. As a result, the chapter felt a bit like a long lecture, with a lot of information that is clearly included to raise your interest and get you sucked in to wanting to read on. There's nothing wrong with that, of course - it just felt a bit too obvious.

This book will probably appeal to fans of desperate housewives tropes, those who enjoy some suspense and intrigue.

What I read was a small sample of the entire book, so that I what I am writing about. The extract that I read was fascinating and did entice me to want to read more of the book. A group of women are meeting for a book club and the lady who is normally the leader has her role usurped by newcomer, Roux. Roux seems manipulative and like she has an agenda, and I would like to read more to find out what that agenda is. I wish I had the whole book to read because I would definitely be reading it right now.

This opening chapter is gripping! I adored the build of tension and how Roux is portrayed as a seductive schemer who slips into these women's comfortable and predictable suburban life to stir things up.

A wonderfully written opening chapter featuring a bunch of characters I am eager to know more about.

I would love to read more and have requested a full copy through the publisher.

Joshilyn Jackson has done it again. Although I only received an extract of this novel, I loved it. It starts off with a neighborhood book club meeting that quickly changes into something else. I have preordered the full novel and can’t wait to get it.

The teaser was short but did get me interested in reading the full book. Can't wait to read the rest, which is on my Kindle.

Although this was only a preview, I was instantly grasped by the story and the terrifically good plot. The part I read was a five-star read for me. Very excited and looking forward to reading more that's for sure! I think this will be one of the better thrillers of the summer.
