Caitlin and Jonas have had a friends with benefits relationship for two years. Jonas wants more from her, but she isn't willing to even try. So Jonas meets someone else and seems to be in love.
Fast forward 6 months later and now where do you see Jonas and Caitlin? Well, Jonas is still dating Ashley... even though he feels something is missing. And Caitlin... well... she decides to try her friend/boss (Trey's) new dating app.
I enjoyed this one. Mostly. I didn't feel it was as good as other stories by this author, but I did like it. It just lacked a little something for me. Not sure what.
I hope Trey gets a book. I see him as obsessive. :)
Thank you to NetGalley & Random House for the ARC of 28 Dates by Stacey Lynn. When I requested this book I didn't look the author up to know it was #3 in the series. However after reading it I think it can definitely be read as a stand alone. The story is focused on the main characters, Jones & Caitlin and is a friends with benefits to lovers book. This may be the first time I've ever said that I didn't think the cover matched the content. The cover is very revealing and the content is more of a sweet romance. It took me just a couple days to read and I enjoyed it for a romance.
I have heard a lot about Stacey Lynn's books, specifically the books in the Crazy in Love series. When I saw 28 Dates on NetGalley I thought it was the perfect opportunity to try out a new author! 28 Dates is the third book in the Crazy in Love series but it can be read as a stand alone. I LOVED this book. It had me hooked from the prologue. I fell in love with Jonas immediately. Even though Caitlin hurt Jonas, I actually felt like I understood her and forgave her pretty quickly. I loved Caitlin and Jonas together and was rooting for them the entire time. A bonus for me is that this was written in first person with a dual-POV. That is my favorite writing style of contemporary romances.
I definitely recommend this book and I will definitely be reading more from Stacey Lynn.
Thank you to NetGalley and Loveswept for this free ARC!
I received an ARC of this novel through Netgalley in exchange for my review. After a harrowing incident in college, Caitlin Pappas has issues, specifically trust issues. She has no problem casually hanging out or even a one night stand, but she is not willing to put her heart into a committed relationship. So when her best friend, who is an app designer asks her to try out his new dating app she willing to give it a try.
Jonas Reeves has been burned by Caitlin before. Jonas is tired of her unwillingness to commit to a relationship so he decides to move on. When he hears that Caitlin is going to try a dating app for a month, he decides to take a chance that she will “date” him via the app without even knowing it is him. Jonas hopes that she will fall for him and give a relationship a chance. Will it work? They have “28 Dates” to find out!
I liked this story. I enjoyed a plot line where the main characters had to slow it down to fall in love instead of rushing it. A fun story in this time of digital dating!
This book is the third book in the crazy love series this is Caitlin and Jonas book Caitlin is a lifelong commitment phobe, The closest thing to a relationship she’s had in the last few years isn’t friends with benefits that says sold out because the guy wanted more so when one of her Besty’s creates a new app that promises to find the one in 28 dates Kaitlyn is the perfect guinea pig! Jonas has tried to MoveOn after his ex Kaitlyn didn’t want to take things to the next level now they’re just friends without benefits Jonas owns a bar called the dirty martini Kaitlyn still visits regularly but sometimes it’s a little uncomfortable but Jonas finds out she’s doing a new dating app for one of her friends and she wants to meet the guys at his bar?! Jonas senses a opportunity to slide in and win Caitlin back! This book was definitely worth reading I liked the first book the best but the whole series is worth reading so don’t miss out on this one it’s definitely worth the read! Thank you nutgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!
