I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely adored this book. It's a "friends with benefits" turned "lovers" story and those are some of my faves! Caitlin and Jonas have had an arrangement that has worked for her for years, but Jonas wants more. They break off their arrangement. Caitlin's best friend has designed a new app that promises your true love in 28 dates and asks Caitlin to try it out. She gives it a go and truly comes into her own. This story has some hilariously bad dates (Hello, Toe Guy) and some really great interactions between Caitlin and Jonas. I love them figuring it all out and finally taking the plunge! Great story and lovely characters.

3.5 stars for me.
It was a sweet read but very predictable.
I felt like the characters really needed to be fleshed out more. I needed more to make me stay invested with the H/h as well as the world-building.
Sorry..just not my cup of tea.

"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."

Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet, sexy romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

I loved 28 Dates! Caitlin decides to test her best friend's new dating app after she let her friends with benefits guy go six months ago. She figures she has nothing to lose and she's realized she doesn't want to be alone forever. Oh my! Some of the dates she goes on are truly cringe-worthy and others so funny! It's a scary dating world out there and this certainty highlights what one may expect! Caitlin is slowly realising that none of her dates measure up to Jonas-her friend with benefits and how he makes her feel. But he's moved on right? Right! So she has to try to too!

Jonas is the star of the book! Such a swoon worthy hero! So thoughtful and kind. He wanted more from Caitlin and then she cut him loose. He was devastated and he has not been able to move on despite trying. When he finds out about Caitlin and the dating app, he is bound and determined to get Caitlin to see him as more than just a booty call. He sets a plan in motion that hopefully will work, or he will be miserable from epically failing.

Grab this fun read and see if Jonas gets his girl!

I really enjoyed this cute romance novel..

This is the story of Caitlin and Jonas who start out as friends with benefits. Only problem is that Jonas wants more from the relationship, sadly Caitlin doesn’t.

Caitlins boss and best friend Trey is an app designer and he has created a dating app and has asked Caitlin to test it out for him. She is willing to do so but is apprehensive about it.

She uses the app and finds a couple of guys. To feel safe she meets them at the only place that she feels safe, the Dirty Martini. That happens to be the bar that a Jonas owns. So each of her dates are under the watchful eye of a guy that is totally crazy about her.

There is a promising date named Michael that sounds interesting. This guy is funny and always seems to have a funny joke when she needs it. She is interested in him, however something always seems to come up when they are suppose to meet.

Jonas tries to move on with another girl but after 6 months of dating it just don’t seem to be going anywhere.

Can true love be found through an app for Caitlin? Can Jonas find true love?

This is a stand-alone novel that is a fast read. It’s a sweet love story that I could hardly put down.

Thanks Random House Publishers and NetGalley for the ARC of this cute book.

This third book in the series, 28 Dates, does not stand alone well. Characters from previous books make appearances so I think reading in order is best. 28 Dates was a quick read, and Stacey Lynn writes strong voiced, layered characters, which made rooting for the happily ever after easy. I appreciate Ms Lynn's talent for writing dialogue that is appropriate to character and situation.
I received my copy through NetGalley under no obligation.

Despite the fact that I hadn’t read the previous two books in this series, I liked the blurb and premise of two old lovers reconnecting through at dating app.

Blurb:

In the age of apps and social media, how many dates does it take to find “the one”? The author of Knocked Up and Fake Wife swipes right on love with a captivating friends-to-lovers tale.

Caitlin Pappas is a lifelong commitment-phobe. The closest thing she’s had to a relationship in the last few years was a friends-with-benefits thing that fizzled out because the guy wanted more. So when she and her best friend design a new app that promises to find “the one” in 28 Dates, Caitlin is the perfect guinea pig. Little does she know that she may have already met her match. . . .

Jonas Reeves has tried his best to move on after Caitlin didn’t want take things to the next level. Now they really are just friends . . . without benefits. Caitlin’s even a regular at his bar, The Dirty Martini. But when he learns that Caitlin plans to beta-test a new dating app on his home turf, Jonas senses a golden opportunity to win her heart. Even if he has to slide into her DMs to do it. . . .

This is more a heroine coming into her own story than the sexy romance I was expecting. Caitlin has problems with commitment, for reasons and Jonas wants Caitlin as his forever, so you can see why they had problems the first time around.

This was an okay read. It starts off with a bang, but I got bored in the middle while Caitlin was going out on dates with other men and trying to figure out what she wants her love life to look like. The ending was cute, if predictable.

I haven’t read the first two stories in this series, so I am not sure if having some previous investment in the characters' world would have improved my reaction to this story. I liked the writing and the set-up revealed in the blurb. I also like the FWB trope, but this couple was not together as much as I would have liked. The story spent most of the time working through Caitlyn's angsty reasoning to not become emotional with men and avoid relationships. I did appreciate that even though there was opportunity for additional drama at the end that it was not explored. I was ready for them to get together and be able to have some warm and fuzzy feelings along with impending sexy times.

This is the next book in the Crazy Love series. It is just as great as the other books in the series. Jonas and Cait are a great couple. This was a very cute, lovable storyline. Stacey Lynn writes swoon-worthy romances that just warm your heart and make you happy.

This book started out with a friend with benefits story. Catlin and Jonas being together in this deal for two years. One morning before leaving he tells Catlin that he wants more a commitment and that he has found someone but has not started anything because he wants her, Catlin. She Catlin says she can’t and would like to keep things as they are. He says no and weeks go by and later she meets his new girlfriend. Around this time Catlin’s boss develops a new dating app and wants her to test it out, hence 28 dates. After much hemming and hawing, she agrees which throws Jonas for a loop when he finds out. He later breaks up with the said girlfriend and gets with her boss and tells him of his plan. Though everyone thinks they would make a good fit it is up to Catlin overcoming the past and you discover what that is. It is also here that the story sort of reminds me of the movie “Shop around the corner” and “You got Mail”. Done a little differently at the end which was really nice along with the epilogue which makes up for anything at the beginning. A good story and worth the read.

This was ok but not memorable. But it could be a me thing. I’ve been so picky lately and it’s hard for me to stay with a book till the end. Sorry.

I absolutely loved this story! Stacey Lynn is a new to me author and I definitely want to read more of her. Some books have a dose of reality that some might find intrusive, however, I think Ms. Lynn was able to achieve a good balance of reality and HEA.

This book was everything I expected from Stacey Lynn's writing. A swoon worthy hero who sets his mind on a fiery redhead who wants nothing to do with relationships but he is determined to change her mind and let her know how much he really feels about her.
Jonas finds out that Caitlyn is helping her best friend out by trying out his new dating app that he created for one month. Though she isn't doing it to find her one true love, but to really find a guy who doesn't mind being only in her bead and not her heart, Jonas decides to get Caitlyn to like him for him, without even knowing it is really him.
Even though this guy "Michael" on her dating app doesn't reveal anything too personal or send pictures of himself to her, he manages to make her smile and laugh when she needs it most. She can't help but fall for this guy who sends her corny Star Wars jokes that always brighten up her day.
When she finally lets herself realize that now that no guy will ever be Jonas or come even close to him, she turns down the guys she was talking to through the app and plans on telling Jonas how she really feels. So when they plan to meet each other at his Bar, what she walks into is something she did not ever expect, but brought her to tears and a realization that the one guy who made her laugh and smile every time they messaged, was right in front of her.

Absolutely loved this book. I really hope we get to have a story about her bestie finding love! Such a great series!

I've come to love books about dating in the modern world that contain apps. I don't know why! 28 dates was a lot of fun, with steam between the characters and sweet characters.

28 Dates was a middle of the road read for me. That said, it did have its moments. For me, it's not so much a friends-to-lovers or friends with benefits romance as a don't know what you've got till it's gone story. At least where Caitlin is concerned. The question is whether or not she's waited too long and let that chance slip through her fingers. That would've been okay, and it could've made for an interesting romance except it turns into a lot of nobody telling anyone how they really feel, which then dragged on for most of the book. More often that not, I wanted to shake one or both of these characters, and when I couldn't, I just grew more frustrated with them. What I did like was a few of Caitlin's dates through the app, especially the first handful, and the banter between Caitlin and 'Michael' was amusing. In the end, the romance didn't really do it for me, but parts of the story did make me laugh, and that's always welcome.

Alternative title: Both of us will date other people, but we will end up together because the plot says so.

28 is the third book in the Crazy love series by Stacey Lynn. Corbin and Teagan from the first book also appear in the book and they happen to be my favorite couple in the series. This review is mostly going to be a rant, but I don't feel like the book deserves a rating of less than 3 stars. I think that what bugged me the most and was the reason the ranting began is the few mentions of Jonas sexual life with the woman he decided to date after Caitlin said that he should. I wouldn't have minded as much if it was mentioned in the beginning when he was still dating the woman, but I don't want him to say during sexy times with Caitlin that he always used condoms when he was with her. I didn't even want to know that when he cut his hair and went down on her and she scratched his head he thought of the heroine. Both mentions were said after the 60% in my kindle which was just annoying and ruined some of the story for me. If it weren't for that I might have been a little more generous with my rating.

Cait dates a lot of guys in this book. Not 28, but still. Jonas is a taken man for some part of the book. If Jonas was the 28th date I would have been happy with the story. But he is just texting her with an alias. That wasn't enough for me to consider this good romance between the characters. On one hand, you have commitment-phobe Caitlin and on the other, you have Jonas who could have used his secret identity a lot more effectively.

In the end, I was expecting more than I got, so I was a little disappointed. I would have loved to see Jonas and Caitlin have some romantic moments after they got together.

I'm disappointed to say that this book was a miss for me. I felt it was predictable in the beginning, and I lacked a connection with the characters. I was surprised at how quickly they realized their feelings for each other, that seemed to come out of nowhere, especially Caitlin. Jonas was a smart, charming guy that seemed to pine over Caitlin for too long before finally making up his mind to go get his girl.

Overall, the story was too quick for me, and lacked the depth that I've come to love from Stacey Lynn's books. I'll definitely give her next one a try.

I found this second chance story to be a very enjoyable read! The storyline was well written and the characters were so well rounded that I was totally enthralled as I turned each and every page!

I really, really enjoyed 28 Dates. It was a fun and quick read that I read in one sitting. Caitlin and Jonas had the perfect friends with benefit relationship. But who exactly was it perfect for? Apparently not Jonas anymore. He want to have something real with her. Caitlin wasn’t ready for that so they tried to remain only friends.

From the outside anyone could see that they were perfect for each other. 28 Dates was a little different from the books I’ve read recently and I loved that it was. It was so refreshing to read a story where the man is the one that wants to be serious and isn’t ready to commit.
