Great book! Nice light love story with just the right amount of angst and humor. Would definitely recommend.

Overall this is a fun read but I while I immediately LOVED Jonas, at times I struggled to like Caitlin. This didn't exactly feel like a romance novel as much as a love story. Jonas loves Caitlin and lucky for Caitlin he doesn't give up while she navigates through her own issues until she eventually emerges as a woman who is finally capable of loving him back.

I would probably have rated this a 4 star but despite the book repeatedly describing Caitlin's red hair, someone decided to stick a cover on this book with a photo of a raven haired beauty. I suddenly realized that the last time I was this annoyed by a cover it was another book in this same series! I am fully aware that it is almost impossible to find the perfect cover photo but this one isn't even close.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was an emotionally charged romance with lots of angst and sweet moments. Jones has a sexual relationship with Caitlin and fights to take their relationship to the next level even if he has to play dirty. he signs up for a dating app she's on and through funny jokes he tries to get her to open up. While I thought he didn't use enough of his time really getting to know her, he makes up for it in real life. He's there for her when she needs him and he shows her how good it would be if they were together. Thank goodness she eventually reciprocates his love.

I'm a big fan of guy chasing girl stories and I thought we would see a lot of that based off the book description. Instead this was more of a story about Caitlin coming into her own.

Caitlin is the heroine that's afraid of commitment. Her and Jonas has had a friends with benefits relationship for 2 years, until Jonas ruins it by asking for more from her. As much as Jonas loves Caitlin, he knows he needs to moves on when she refuses to date him.

As much as I really liked these characters, this just had too much relationship angst for me to enjoy it to the fullest. I hated seeing Jonas dating someone else after Caitlin even knowing he tried with Caitlin and she turned him down.

I don't easily relate to heroines who have commitment problems so it was not easy for me to understand her reasoning of letting Jonas slip through her fingers. What I did like was that it didn't take her long to realize she made a mistake. The only problem was Jonas was already dating someone else.

Caitlin realizes she needed to put herself out there so she accepts her boss's request to beta test his new dating app for 28 days. This is more of what the book was about. We see her dating all these men who just couldn't compare to Jonas. Little does she know, Jonas has already realized his new girlfriend doesn't compare to her and has ended things.

This is purely a personal preference but I just wanted more of this couple together and less the struggle of them finding their way back together. I did really love the ending and that epilogue was incredibly sweet.

28 Dates, is funny and sweet. Caitlin doesn't know that Jonas is the one. Jonas knows though, and what he does to prove it to her is great.

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review**

28 Dates is a quick, cute read and is the third book in Stacey Lynn's Crazy Love series, however it can easily be read as a standalone.

Jonas and Caitlin have had a friends with benefits relationship for quite some time. Caitlin is not into commitment, but Jonas wants more. When he bridges the topic with her, Caitlin shuts him down right away and he in turn walks away. They do remain friends, but its strained to say the least based on their past.

Caitlin works for an app developer and his newest invention is a dating app that he wants her to test. She reluctantly agrees and sets out to meet guys via the app. She goes on a few dates that are absolutely awful and a few that are okay. She ends up matching with a guy that she has a great time texting back and forth with. What she doesn't realize is that Jonas has approached her boss and he is the man behind the person she's matched with on the app. Is she going to be furious when she finds out or will she have finally come to her senses and figured out that they could have something real?

I enjoyed this book and read it very quickly, however I felt like Caitlin's issues were handled way too easily and quickly. We knew she had commitment issues and that they stemmed from her childhood, but I think having one conversation with a friend and she's magically over them is a little hard to swallow. It looks like there is going to be another book in this series and I do look forward to reading it as I've enjoyed this entire series.

First let me say, I loved this book so much, I think it might be my favorite so far. I think this is the first book I've ever read and out down at three percent in, I was already emotionally invested by this point. I think the fact that I was already feeling a strong enough connection to need to take a minute before diving back in says a lot about the fact that Caitlin and Jonas felt so real and like I was a part of their world.

There isn't much steam in this book, it starts out with a bit but then it kind of tapers off for a while. I didn't mind this because I was so focused on these two finding their way and Caitlin's fear of commitment trying to ruin a good thing for her. I think it was a nice change to have less steam and more of the story, don't get me wrong though, I'll be first in line for Stacey's next steamy read.

Overall this was a really fantastic love story, that was simply about two friends finding out whether or not crossing that line was going to work for them. I highly recommend this to anyone you wants to read a great love story.

I love a good friends to lovers story. So, with two years on friends with benefits under the H and h’s belts, I thought I’d see them as a couple instantly. To my surprise, I didn’t. They both had to grow on me, much like the Caitlin’s revelation about her feelings for Jonas. This one ended with me loving them together and feeling like it is a true HEA.

While it’s not my favorite of Ms. Lynn’s romances, it definitely worth the read.

ARC received for review

Caitlin was the commitment phobe in this relationship. Jonas was yummy and so ready for Caitlin. He was willing to watch over her while she meets her 28 dates from a friend's dating app. She didn't go on 28 dates or if she did they don't tell us about all of them. Creepy toe boy was ewh. I was expecting more fire after the prologue, but didn't get it.

Great book. This book has everything you want and more. Friends to lovers, great chemistry and a lot of laughs. Caitlin and Jonas have been friends with benefits for a while now but Jonas wants more and Caitlin doesn't.
Trey, Caitlin's friend develops a dating app and wants Caitlin to try it for 28 days before he puts it on the market. Caitlin's uncertain because she doesn't want a relationship but agrees to give it a try. After a few dates it's just not working out, after all Jonas is still on her mind. Jonas in the meantime is miserable without Caitlin but comes up with a plan to go on the app himself but just no picture. He wants Caitlin back and his love for her with stop at nothing. Can he make her fall in love with him or will someone else catch her eye?

I really enjoy this authors writing. She knows how to write characters with amazing chemistry, that's for sure! This book was enjoyable and I finished it pretty quickly. However, it was a little predictable.

I look forward to more from this author!

28 Dates by Stacey Lynn is book 3 in the Crazy Love series and can be read as a stand-a-lone. It tells the story of Caitlin and Jonas two friends with benefits. When Jonas asks for more from the relationship, she breaks it off.

In the meantime, she agrees to be the guinea pig for her boss’s new dating app. Once she starts seeing men from the app, let’s just say all does not go so well.

Jonas, on the other hand still has feelings for Caitlin and is hoping to change her mind. She has reservations of being with anyone, long-term, due to her upbringing and past experiences with men. Although, she has fears of being alone.

This is a fun, sweet, HEA second chance love story. You will route for Jonas and want Caitlin to get on board.

I always enjoy Ms. Lynn’s books and her characters are so much fun to read. I look forward to her next release.

Welcome to your next dating app and the story of Jonas and Cait. What a story it is!! Holy hell I loved this book. I'm a big Stacey Lynn fan and love her books, this one just wowed me. She definitely didn't draw in a straight line in this one! One amazing turn after the other, what an insanely great story.
Jonas and Cait are in a FWB relationship, two years running. She wants nothing more than that, afraid of commitment. When Jonas tells her he wants more, she freezes and he walks out. He also tells her he's met someone. Someone who will actually go out on a date with him. He's done and she's just lost the best thing that's ever happened to her. She has two best buds from college, she works for one of them as his assistant. He's an app developer, wealthy and very protective of Cait with good reason. Cait's backstory brings us the understanding of some of her behavior and is well written and woven through the story.
His completion and wanting to do a test run of this dating app, the places people together who are looking for long term commitment and he wants Cait to be the guinea pig for the first run. Cait of course balks. Being apart from Jonas is killing her, Jonas owns a bar/restaurant that she frequents and it's an awkward balance there. He's usually holed up in his office when she comes in, she knows his schedule and she knowing he's seeing someone else and has met her. She finally caves and agrees to try the app. This sets the scenario for the body of the story and all the twists and turns this one takes. Wowza, did it ever. Loaded with angst and some breath holding moments, I wasn't sure if I wanted to throw my kindle or smack them both. Stacey had me right on the edge of crazy and kept me there. What a story she tells in this one, with two amazing characters; a cast of fantastic support characters that I have to say I want to see more of and what an ending. Yes indeed, she just knocked this one right out of the park. Normally I like my angst on simmer but this, this was so worth my hair pulling and death gripping the kindle.
Well done Stacey! Fantastic story!

A cute and dare I say realistic take on the friends turn lovers trope. The romance years in the making, you can feel the strong connection between Caitlin and Jonas through the pages and how they were able to cope with their growing feelings felt very natural. My favorite portion of the series was the gradual built-up to the leads relationship which ultimately lead to their happily ever all. What more can I say? “28 Dates” was a fun and sexy read filled with lovable characters, great writing flow and steady relationship pace.

Different kind of 2nd chance at love

Stacey Lynn’s 28 Dates was an easy read, there just wasn’t anything that stood out in the story that made it extra special. I’m not a fan of stories where the hero and heroine spend most of their time apart from each other which is how it felt with Caitlin and Jonas. While not a favorite I would definitely read the writer again.
I received an advance reader copy.

"I'm the queen of onetime hookups and keeping things light."

This story was kinda different for me because I'm used to it being the guy that won't commit. I fell hard for Jonas right away and had a hard time connecting with Caitlin because I thought she was out of her mind for letting him go.

But, I did kinda connect with her as a work-at-home woman who can stay in her pajamas all day if she wants to. Her relationship with her nerdy boss who created the dating app is amusing and their banter is entertaining. If anyone could convince her to give the dating app a chance, it was him. I got excited when she finally gave in because I knew that Jonas would have another chance at winning her over. I was totally cheering him on behind the scenes.

28 Dates is a sweet second chance romance that will have you rooting for the couple. The dual POV drove me crazy because I knew what was going on when she didn't. It took more patience than I had to wait for her to finally learn what was going on. I wanted to tell her myself and make it happen faster, putting poor Jonas out of his misery. At the very least I wanted to hang out at the Dirty Martini and have a few drinks while I watched them lust after each other while trying to keep it platonic. Maybe even come up with a new drinking game and take bets on how long they could hold out.

From the cover to the last page this book is a must read. This was the first book I've read by Stacey Lynn and I can't wait to read more.

This book has it all - spicy, sweet, and laugh out loud one-liners. A twist on a second-chance romance that leaves you swoony and ready to find your own Jonas.

Can't wait for the second installment in this new series!

Review coming soon to my blog.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book to leave an honest review. This is the third book of Stacey Lynn's that I have read and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. She has an excellent writing style and really keeps the reader engaged. There is always some great humor and I love the relationships that are developed in the book.

This book follows Jonas, a bar owner, and Caitlin, a personal assistant with major relationship issues. So to start with, Jonas and Caitlin have had a friends with benefits relationship for a couple of years. Jonas wants more from Caitlin and when she can't put her heart out there, he "moves" on. Six months down the road, Caitlin has not gotten over Jonas, who is now in a new relationship, and decides to be a tester on the new dating app her boss has created. Little does she know that Jonas broke up with his new girlfriend (because she wasn't Caitlin). Once Jonas hears about Caitlin's plan, he decides to try to win her over via the dating app...but in disguise.

There is much confusion on Caitlin's part as she realizes she let Jonas get away and starts to fall for a guy through the dating app who is very vague but seems to know her well. When she finds out the truth, will Jonas' plan backfire? And with her very jaded past, can Caitlin put her heart out there?

Great story and very fast and fun read. I would definitely recommend all of Stacey Lynn's books but this one was excellent.
