I was so excited about being on this launch team. I could hardly wait to get my hands on this book about Experiencing the Holy Spirit as a Constant Companion.

<p>First, it was just amazing to me that she could write to us WHILE she was going through cancer treatments. I know that when I am struggling through life's trials, it is nearly impossible for me to even write in my journal. I just don't want to face the issues. She has been amazing.

Secondly, as always she shares openly and honestly about her own faith. Where she succeeds and where she fails. Then she tells us what she learned. Anne openness helps me connect with her as a common friend. I'm not intimidated by her because she is Rev. Billy Graham's daughter. More so, I welcome her advice.

Thirdly, this book on the Holy Spirit is greatly needed. From my point of view. Many are not tapping into what He can do for us. Anne can help us do that.

Rarely am I speechless. Rarely do words fail me. But I'm having a really hard time contemplating what to tell you about this new book by Anne Graham Lotz. As one who wants our children to grow and be biblically literate young people, I have written several lessons about the Holy Spirit and His role in our lives as believers. But I agree with what Anne Graham Lotz says at some points in her new book, the more she sought to know about the Holy Spirit, the more there is to know, and knowing isn't enough, but living in these truths and the fact that God gives us Himself to live in us, guide us, lead us, work in us, equip us to change, even for intercession when words fail us.

Her new book showcases so many levels and layers of the Holy Spirit. Truly she has been gifted these words by the Holy Spirit to share with the world, who also needs to know, call on, walk with, and live in His presence.

This book is excellent whispering truths from the Word of God through life experience, growth, an ongoing process, awareness, soul seeking, and utter dependence on the work of the Holy Spirit in her heart, soul and mind.

This book is well written and easy to read, harder to process, and choose to follow the questions and suggestions that the author provides. There are 27 chapters, divided into 7 themes, with a conclusion and some very helpful appendixes to encourage life change and application. The chapters are short, pointed, and end with questions for your own personal application. These questions really get to the heart and soul of living with the Holy Spirit in me. And while easily understandable, the application and processing in me, will go on long after I've finished the book. The perspective is much needed and for me often convicting.

Some of my favorite illustrations to make the Holy Spirit graspable for children are shared in this book- engagement rings, seals, promise, guarantee, and I love that I have a new image. That of the magnifying glass- the Holy Spirit is showing others that Jesus is in ME!!!

This book would be an excellent book club or Bible study book. It can be read cover to cover in a day or two, or it can be read a little at a time to help process and apply the truth shared. But it should be read.

Thankful to partner with Netgalley and Waterbrook-Multnomah to read an advanced copy of this book.

“Jesus in Me” by Anne Graham Lotz

“Jesus in Me” by Anne Graham Lotz gives Christian believers insight about the person and character of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a person who has a mind, a will, and emotions.
In the Old Testament, God gave the Holy Spirit to a specific person for a certain time and purpose. Then the Holy Spirit departed from the individual after the person fulfilled their purpose. When Jesus departed from the earth and the disciples met in the upper room, the Holy Spirit came upon them to stay. The Holy Spirit now comes into anyone who places faith in Jesus Christ. A new believer also has the same amount of the Holy Spirit as someone who has been walking with Jesus for decades.
The Holy Spirit gives us direction and guidance in our lives if we allow him to use us for his purpose. Anne reveals times in her life where the holy spirit guided her to accomplish his mission by sending her to a foreign country to preach God’s word and give her message even though she was met with opposition. She also reveals the times when the Holy Spirit has asked her to do certain tasks even if they were insignificant or didn’t make complete sense.
In her book, Anne also talks about the different spiritual gifts that are given to each believer. When we use our spiritual gifts it benefits the church. Not every believer has the same spiritual gifts. The Christian body benefits when believers are using their gifts and it strengthens the power of the Christian church.
The main theme running through the book is how the Holy Spirit points us to Jesus in revealing him to us and also the people that come into contact with us. Our purpose in life is to display God’s glory and complete God’s personal mission for us. The Holy Spirit gives us guidance to the plan that God has for us.
“Jesus in Me” is a must for anyone who wants to learn more about the Holy Spirit.

I loved this book.
The author gives examples from her own life which makes the book more interesting.
The information on the Holy Spirit was given in a way that is easy to understand for someone who has not studied the Holy Spirit.
At the same time was a fresh approach for others who might be more familiar.
I loved the sequence of the chapters and how they built on each other.

Anne never disappoints! Her writing is informative, inspiring, thought provoking and motivating. Anne shares her personal experience of the Holy Spirit’s presence in her life and challenges every reader to experience the same. She invites you into her world with her real-life examples, transparency, engaging illustrations and of course, her powerful application questions. Anne wonderfully defines the third person of the Trinity utilizing scripture verses and in the same fashion brilliantly describes the names of the Holy Spirit that define His beautiful character.
Whether or not you are a follower of Jesus, Anne desires for you to know Jesus.

Anne helps the non-believer discover how much the Holy Spirit loves you and desires for you to have a personal relationship with Jesus.

Anne inspires the believer to know how much the Holy Spirit loves you through His presence, power, and equipping in daily living. She reminds us that the Holy Spirit’s ultimate purpose is to glorify Jesus, His ultimate goal is to make Jesus known to you and to me, and His priority is to guide us into all truth as He transforms us into the image of Jesus. She also challenges the believer to better love, rely on and experience the filling of the Holy Spirit through moment-by-moment surrender to the moment-by-moment control of the Holy Spirit.

This is an easy to read book in Anne’s usual relatable style. Anne has faced a number of big life challenges in recent years with the death of both her husband and father together with her own cancer diagnosis. Throughout these challenging periods in her life she was aware of the comforting presence of the Holy Spirit. In this book she shows us how we are a dwelling place for the Holy Spirit. She teaches us the different ways the Holy Sprit works in our lives and how He is an ever present vital third person of the Trinity. There are helpful exercises at the end of each chapter for us to work through if we wish. I received a free copy of this book, a favourable review was not required and all opinions expressed here are my own.

Living your life with the Holy Spirit as your constant companion is every Christian’s goal. This book is a intimate look inside Ann’s life and walk with her. It’s like sitting down at the kitchen table and having coffee with her and spending the morning sharing with each other. The Holy Spirit is not a magic genie, a flame of fire, or a vague feeling. He is a person who prays for us, guides us in our relationships and decisions, comforts us in pain, and stays by our side at all times. This book explores seven key aspects of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit kinda gets overlooked and underappreciated. We need to listen or feel His presence. Thank you, Anne Graham Lotz for the reminder, education and facts.

This book is a testimony of the power of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer. Anne Graham Lotz uses her personal testimony about the loss of her father and her husband as well as her own struggle with a cancer diagnosis to be a powerful witness to the Holy Spirit’s presence in the lives on the believers. Told with honesty and empathy, Ms. Lotz makes the reader a part of the experience that she had. At the end of each chapter, she invites the reader to share in her experience with the Holy Spirit and to invite Him into our lives. As a believer for over four decades, I did not think that there was much that I had not heard about the Trinity and specifically the Holy Spirit. But Ms. Lotz surprised me with her insight and wisdom into this very important topic. Jesus did not leave us alone when He ascended into Heaven and the author makes it very clear through her own personal testimony that we are not alone but that the Comforter and the Counselor is with us daily. I really loved the vivid word pictures that Ms. Lotz painted that stretched and strengthened my faith. Readers of books about faith and God’s love will thoroughly enjoy this book and be amazed at God’s provisions for His beloved children.—us!

This book is very perceptive based on Scripture with the combination of her own experiences. You want to learn all the Holy Spirit - it is the book for you. She challenges the subject of the indwelling Holy Spirit in the believer's life, helping readers understand how the Holy Spirit, as a constant companion, transforms a believer's life from mundane to extraordinary.

Anne has always been a powerhouse of a speaker/writer/woman, and I was privileged to be able to read "Jesus In Me." It is an excellent read, full of encouragement and truth for daily reading.

This books is not a dry teaching nor
some kind of theological statements about Holyspirit. It is a hands-on experiential stories that author experienced through out the hardships and difficulties of her life. It surely is touching, and shows how Holyspirit can comfort us in the midst of the storms of life.
After reading this book, I feel more close to the Holyspirit, and I feel more confident to call out the names of Holyspirit. He is surely my advocator, comforter, and counselor. It is not mere words, but he is still active, and help us today. I am thankful that I could read this book.

An outstanding book about how to fill your life with Jesus. It does tell how to become a Christian, but most of the book encourages the reader to allow the Holy Spirit (Jesus) full rein in your life. Mrs. Lotz really opens our minds to the presence of Jesus in our lives and how to enhance his control. Excellent book

“Do you, too, long for faith that really works? Faith that will see you through lonely hours of bereavement? Faith that will be strong in the face of adversity? Faith that remains unshaken when practical circumstances are shattered? Faith that shines like a light in the darkness, pointing others to Jesus? Then fully embrace the Holy Spirit with absolute, total, unreserved trust, and begin experiencing His constant presence . . . on the inside.”

The Holy Spirit is often the most misunderstood member of the trinity. In her book, Jesus In Me, Anne Graham Lotz takes a tricky concept and makes it easier for the average reader to understand. She includes stories of her personal struggles with her health, which really made the book relatable. She talked about the different names of the Holy Spirit, how He works in the lives of believers, and how to deepen our relationship with Him. Each chapter ends with a reflection question and a prompt for prayer or personal application. I believe that I will return to this book often as a reference book and a refresher about the role of the Holy Spirit in my life.
