Catch Your Death is a well paced thriller, that carefully reveals its secrets to ensure you remain intrigued and turning paes. It's the third book featuring FBI agent Jess Bishop but the first that I have read. My enjoyment was not in any way impeded by this, but my interest in previous novels was definitely piqued.
This is a fantastic read, A great lead character, who is not afraid to break out on her own when the powers that be wont listen. I could not put this down!
This crime thriller follows FBI Agent Jessie Bishop as she finds herself in the middle of an investigation that gets crazier and crazier. Five students are dead by apparent suicide and it seems to point to a suicide game via social media. The more Jessie and her team digs, the more she begins to believe there is more going on than just the suicide game.
At face value, I found this story intriguing and interesting. It was interesting, but it didn't quite hit like I thought it would. I'm not sure what it was about the writing, but there were parts that just didn't do it for me. This was the third in the series, so I'm sure going back and reading the other two may help to understand the context and some of the nuances that the character has.
Very thrilling ! It had me hooked right from the get-go. Jess is such a complicated character. This is my first book in this series and so I had to connect some dots to understand Jess better.
But the plot was intriguing and with the inside-job angle, I couldn't wait to read how it all unfolded. I enjoyed reading about Jess's brilliant mind and how the investigation proceeded. The secret society - conspiracy theory angle also added a different dimension to this investigation. The only thing that had me shook that the victims were adolescent kids and to think of human-looking monsters who would target them without any regret angers me.
But I would definitely recommend this book.
I loved Jessica's character and found the plot gripping. It's a unique plot, scary but plausible. Can't wait for more from the author!
This is book 3 of a series featuring special agent Jess Bishop. Not having read books 1 and 2, I was concerned that I might find it hard to get into. Not in the least! This is a cracking tale that reminded me of the way Harlen Coben constructs his thrillers: lots of teasing and red herrings. It's a real page-turner with great characters - not least of whom is Bishop, a very real person with failings. I'll now be going back to read the first two in the series.
Holy cannoli! What a fast paced, thriller, roller coaster of a read! I did the read the first two books in the series and I recommend doing so so that the story is even more gripping and intense. This author knows how to grab you, pull you in, and shake you around!
Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for my free ARC in exchange for my honest review.
It’s been awhile since I read the first 2 books, but I do remember enjoying them. This one missed the mark for me though. It begins when Jess receives a call from her boss asking her to check up on her nephew. When Jess goes to this elite school to find him, she sees more than she bargained for. This starts a whirlwind investigation. Perhaps too much of one. I don’t remember Jess being so screwed up. She was out of control in this book, too much that I didn’t enjoy reading about her. The investigation seemed too far fetched also. I found quite a few things repetitive, the story seemed rushed, and then it ended suddenly with a perfect bow. I’m not sure I want to continue reading about Jess Bishop. This might be the end for me.

This was really a gripping and quick read. Maybe only quick because I just couldn't stop reading!! Just had to see what happened at the school and who was responsible for all the deaths. The book was very well written, entertaining and thrilling until the end. Highly recommended!!!
A great suspenseful book full of twists and turns . This book is part of a series . So I suggest you read the others to get a better understanding. The plot was great but I didn't really gel with the characters. Her writing reminds me of Angela Marsons.
Catch Your Death is a well written thriller. The plot kept me on the edge of my seat. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good heart pounding read. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for my digital arc this is my unbiased review.
This is the 3rd book about FBI Special Agent Jessica Bishop, and it does not disappoint. The main character is an extremely scarred woman trying to run from her past and avoid confronting the emotional rollercoaster inside her. She has dealt with great loss, and she seems doomed to a life of pain and loneliness. This book picks up shortly after the end of the last book in the series. Jess is suffering from a terrible hand injury from her last case and the loss of two friends (one to death and the other to unbelievably complicated circumstances -- read the last book). Faking her physical and emotional healing, Jess is allowed back on the job in order to deal with a bizarre case involving her boss' nephew. Through twists and turns, the plot takes the reader on a fast-paced race to uncover the truth and salvage what's left of Jess' career. The heart-pounding excitement is wonderful, but the denouement seems a bit too easy and quick. I hope there is yet another episode in Jess' story. Too many questions are left unanswered, and I want Jess to find the peace and happiness she deserves.
CATCH YOUR DEATH is well worth the read. Great mystery suspense novel .I am glad I was picked to read this one because it is amazing. It has bit of everything, suspense, heart and great characters.
This is the third book in the series
I was hooked from the first page of this book.
This is an edge of your seat, gripping thriller.
Complex characters and an action packed plot make this third book in the series one of the best so far. Combining real life issues and what is believed by most to be urban legend makes for a suspenseful mystery that will have you reading straight through. I can't wait for the next installment.
Great, couldn't put it down, full of twists to get your brain spinning, did I put it down to get some work done, no, did I put it down to walk the dogs, no, absolutely riveting, recommend highly.
The story drew me in very quickly and kept my interest throughout. Loved the plot and characters and would highly recommend it.
I read the first book in the Jess Bishop series & was rather disappointed so I missed the second one. When I started this one, I didn't realise that it was in that series. It was the storyline in the blurb that appealed.
Special Agent Jess Bishop is asked by her boss to check in on her nephew. Levi attends a prestigious boarding school & was supposed to have spoken to his aunt. Jess goes to the school & discovers that young man is dead- he has killed himself in the showers.
On investigation it seems that Levi isn't the only one who had died whilst under the school's care. A frightening Social Media Game- The Last Supper- seems to be encouraging teens to take their lives. There is a conspiracy of silence & soon others start to die.
I found this a much more engaging book than Forget me Not. I still found it quite hard to like Jess, but Jamieson makes up for her flaws!
Thanks to Netgalley & the publisher for letting me read & review this book.
This was an ok read for me and maybe I would have enjoyed it more had I read the past two in the series.
The writing was good as was the premise but I’m not sure how much I like Jess and want to invest in her story. She’s an interesting character but she’s just a lot, crazy background, over the top persona, plays by her own rules...
The story itself is pretty straightforward. It takes a bit of time to get moving. There are the usual road blocks encountered. This was a decent story, but nothing new really. I would suggest you try this one for yourself as you might love it.
Thanks to NetGalley, the author and Bookouture for a copy in exchange for a review.
Wow Wow Wow - Kierney Scott is an exciting new author who is fast becoming into one of my favourites.
I was captured by the time I was reading the second page and enthralled to the very end.
Exciting, disturbing, emotional, intense, honour, duty, relationships ,guilt, I exaggerate not - this crime thriller has it all and more.
Jess Bishop is an FBI Agent with a disturbing past and she starkly reminded me of another lead character by a different author but it did not detract my enjoyment of this book.
I strongly recommend this to all crime lovers and I look forward to reading the next in the series.
